The woman with untied hair- The war has just begun

And she has entered Roy Mansion with black dress, red chunari and untied hair. The untied hair, the most important part of Mahabharata, the untied hair that stood as the symbol of draupadi's humilation, the untied hair which she tied only after washing it with the blood of her tormentor Dussashan. Bhima had to bring it for her.

In old days it was customary for married woman with husbands to tie their hair. Only widows untied their hair. Tied hair stood for domestication. A woman in the bandhan of marriage and motherhood in happy family life. The untied hair stood for pain and destruction. So it was symbolic of draupadi to untie her hair to show she will consider pandavas her husbands only when they avenge their humilation. Its the chance she gives to her husband after yudhi kept her as a pawn in the infamous hall of dice.

Similarly Maya has come to Roy Mansion giving a chance to Rudra to stop complete destruction and annihilation of Roy clan. Today she created an illusion for Rudra keeping MJ hand on her head. Yes she needs to play like that. The perfect bahu. The Chakravyuha has to destroy itself. She has gone into attack mode. MJ has to react, she has to force reaction from family members. She has to cut the ties that bind them through Rudra and stand there as if she knew nothing. Of course she is Maya, she has to take care of Rudra's love and she cant allow her darkness to fall on him.

Manvi Singh who has become Maya. Very simple Manvi Singh who was happy to get the job of the junior writer in Roy Group just like any enthusiastic 21 yr old fresher. That girl stood as Mahakali in front of MJ today terrifying him and yes of course he will try to terrify her with consequences. But its the war, MJ is forced into defence for once by Maya.

One more thing I want to highlight is the decor of Rudra Room. Complete yellow. Yellow is color of friendship and yellow the color of Krishna. He said she will take decision when to take next step. But yes she is kaid in him and he has got stuck in Maya. I am sure this guy will unravel the mystery Maya is. His dialogue made me feel that way, meanwhile setting the direction of her war. He wanted to know her, he wanted to know the truth and he will reach the truth about Maya cutting through all illusions.

Rudra stood as her strength when she was most scared but more importantly even if he isn't around his love will give her d same strength..

@namu love was the biggest weapon of durga when she dealt with mahisasur. And the same love will take Maya war forward.

The open hair signifies destruction much like Kalis open and unadorned hair signalled the imminent destruction of the wrongdoers. Whereas Durga the married and domestic version of Parvati has her hair adorned.

Maya is going to be both Durga and Kali. Durga for Rudra as his strength, his support, his lover, and be a nurturer whereas she will be Kali to MJ and the other Roys, destroy their life, happiness, forever.

I felt goose bumps when the Aigiri Nandhini song was played upon the entry of Maya into the Roy mansion. You are totally point on when you state that the constructive Ma Gauri to the Destructive Ma Kali are the beginning and the end of everything. Maya everywhere. In this serial as you state all the symbolism points to a showdown where Kali will destruct the demon. So, the war has begun between Maya and Rudra's kandan.

It's a combination of MB + Parvati mythos in this serial.

The changed avatar of a simple girl to a manipulative lady. What a lady too. MJ and family knew instantly that Rudra would protect Maya. Their looks at the entry of Maya... gosh!! What I don't get is the way Rudra blissfully informed the family he has married in Rishikesh and his wife is Maya. He expected the family to accept. Really Rudra?? Poor Anu.. at least they showed a moment of un-comfortableness when Rudra looked at Anu... it was just a moment. He was too happy, to blissful in his marriage. Rudra was in Maya land...

Yellow.... it also stands out for happiness, positivity, loyalty and joy... the flip side of yellow it represents deceits. So, the room also showcases the different sides of the coin-marriage of Rudra and Maya. Let's see how the coin is flipped.

Agreed... I think for Anu, she feels the MJ family is perfect, Rudra is the lost cause and she will anchor him in by being pro-MJ. During the initial stages, she was still able to refute MJ citing Rudra's friendship being important but when the proposal happened, being in the arms of Rudra mattered more... I don't think she even took stock of what her dad said about MJ and his crimes... Air headed by the looks of it...

Nandini/Maya - names of Goddess Durga❤️ So aptly justify Maya's entry to Roy's house.

Goddess Durga has herself come from her abode in form of Maya to avenge injustice done to Manvi. 👏👏What lovely comparison to Maa Kaali and Maa Durga in terms of her untied hair, the color of her clothes👏

Well lets see how she gets herself justice as there will be many attacks on her - some cruel, some devastating, some might develop cracks in her relationship with Rudra and also on her family i,e Nandini and Rajeev, some might be dangerous to her life too. She has to dodge / convincingly attack back with much force. In that process she will learn many things about MJ/Antara/Diya/ Aamir and their dynamics.

Somehow she has to win. Till yesterday , she had nothing to loose, today she has her husband. Stakes are high. How Rudra becomes her saarthi or does not! yet to be seen.😊
