I have become such a huge fan of this show. The depth of storyline, the symbolism, the acting, just amazing. We have some amazing analysis threads here and so I won't take your time in that regard.

What I wanted to post was that despite Mayas obvious intentions of taking revenge, I am really impressed in the way she is training Rudra just like Lord Krishna trained Arjun in the Mahabharata. And he is truly turning to be a sincere disciple who takes his lessons to heart.

Let's see the sequence:

Day 1 of challenge: Maya gave Rudra fishes to sell. Rudras first reaction was that he doesn't have the necessary expertise to sell fish. But by the end of the task, he had exceeded Mayas target and thus emerged successful.

Later that night, Maya came to meet Rudra at the fencing class. She knew he was angry (coz of the Fish incident going viral) and gave him another important lesson, anger often blinds our judgment.

Day 2 of challenge: The moment Rudra met Maya at the construction site, he said "kya bechna hai aaj? Eet, cement, patthar? Mujhe bataiye, main kuch bhi bech sakta hun,ye puri building bhi". Here Rudra displayed his confidence having completed his previous task successfully.

During the Day 2, Maya gave him a challenge and he rushed to complete it without thinking thru. Here again, Maya reminded him that often in our desire to win, we forget to ask the rules!

Day 3 of challenge: Lo and behold, the moment Maya mentioned the challenge, Rudras first question was "Rules kya hai?"

Another interesting bit is that during Day 2 of the challenge, Rudra had touched Maya twice. The second time was a bit more forceful and that peeved her. Maya warned him to not touch her without her permission again. We saw Rudra today reminding Rishi of the same.

I am loving this guru-shisya bond that Maya-Rudra have going. It's going to be very interesting to see their dynamics independent of a romantic track.

Would love to know your thoughts!

I actually thought of the same.. Rudra learns quickly.. it's almost like she is training him unknowingly.. There are many things in him which is inbuilt and amazing.. but his quality to pick up bits quickly and also questioning the right things to maya is what I love..

One of the things maya said.. dard hi dard ko kam karta hai.. Rudra has been hurt like maya but he has never streamed his hurt anywhere.. Maya is now using his wit and power and giving it strength to use it against MJ.. he can only be her weapon when he rises over MJ.. MJ character which is still not opened up to us as yet.. he must be really fierce.. or Maya wouldn't need a support like Rudra.. we might learn more on him soon..

The first 2 weeks of the show seems to be the prologue of what is gonna happen next .

But again in return will Maya learn to forgive and love again.. remember bhagwat gita also teaches us to forgive..

Rudra -Maya scenes are so explosive to MJ to Rudra ka bhi baap hai. It's going to be amazing. I feel CVs are deliberately making us wait for him.

I don't know. I don't see that kind of symbolism between Rudra and Maya. Idk, coz Krishna is someone who was superior to Arjun, in terms of understanding, righteousness, justice, dharma, he was the almighty himself.

Here, Maya is also a player in the game, she's also given in to her hatred, vengeance and she's completely drowned in pain, hurt, suffering to the point that it is now sparking out to the entire world around her. I don't see her as Krishna.

However, I see both MayRa learning and teaching each other. Maya is learning from Rudra too. They haven't shown that..but they did mention one line when she told Krishna that one cannot get diverted or something.

I see it as Maya being the more learned one, teaching Rudra some lessons, while Rudra who isn't as learned as Maya (idk I don't see him reading the scriptures) but who's personal understanding may refute Maya's interpretations of the lessons.

I enjoy different points of view. I agree in character Maya and Lord Krishna can't be compared but the show heavily refers to the Mahabharata so I think some kind of symbolism is evident. But like you said we need to see if Maya is also taking note of things she is observing in Rudra. Yesterday her discomfort/unhappiness at Rudra being busy when she called was evident. Their tracks in the coming episodes will be interesting to see.

That said, I saw some other thread where TM mentioned that Maya relates herself to Draupadi who was humiliated and to whose aid Krishna came running, but here Krishna didn't come rescue her and she's decided to be Krishna to save herself without waiting for some outsider. When I looked at it that way, I realised she is being Krishna in a way. Whether Rudra is Arjun or not is yet to be seen.

Yes, the Krishna/Draupadi angle rings very true in the present circumstances. Till now I feel Rudra is on his way to prove his worth as Arjun but how Maya acts with him might show the other sides of his character-like how does he handle Rejection, Mayas -MJs reveal, etc.

We'll have to see if he's the one who has to handle rejection or whether Maya will overcome her reserve and make overtures herself. 😆

Beautiful post 👏 ...sometimes I think Maya is putting both bros though different kind of tests in order to see who ll emerge as the dark horse and I guess Rudra ll be the dark horse here.

Also I feel Maya is more herself with Rudra around as they both share like a dard ka rhista with each other due to their painful past related with love ......and it is said that a relationship founded on trust can be broken as trust is often broken but when a relationship foundation is pain thus it's unbreakable as pain can't be broken .....I think MayRa ll bond through pain in future and Rudra ll become as you said Maya' s true Arjun

I ll add that Maya's revenge cruise ll not sail smoothly as per her plan....there ll be definitely twists and turns....else it ll be boring and no fun.

Will they ever bond? 😆 Idk if they'll show that and if they do, I'll look forward to it. I noticed this too. She's not lying to Rudra. Both Rudra and Maya have their share of secrets and dark pasts. Rudra has chosen to channelise that towards MJ and has closed his mind's doors to him to deal with the past. Whereas Maya has unleashed the pain of the past from within her and let it consume the whole of her and now that's being spread across the world around her. So that's the difference I suppose. Rudra isn't completely a lost cause.
