I have become such a huge fan of this show. The depth of storyline, the symbolism, the acting, just amazing. We have some amazing analysis threads here and so I won't take your time in that regard.
What I wanted to post was that despite Mayas obvious intentions of taking revenge, I am really impressed in the way she is training Rudra just like Lord Krishna trained Arjun in the Mahabharata. And he is truly turning to be a sincere disciple who takes his lessons to heart.
Let's see the sequence:
Day 1 of challenge: Maya gave Rudra fishes to sell. Rudras first reaction was that he doesn't have the necessary expertise to sell fish. But by the end of the task, he had exceeded Mayas target and thus emerged successful.
Later that night, Maya came to meet Rudra at the fencing class. She knew he was angry (coz of the Fish incident going viral) and gave him another important lesson, anger often blinds our judgment.
Day 2 of challenge: The moment Rudra met Maya at the construction site, he said "kya bechna hai aaj? Eet, cement, patthar? Mujhe bataiye, main kuch bhi bech sakta hun,ye puri building bhi". Here Rudra displayed his confidence having completed his previous task successfully.
During the Day 2, Maya gave him a challenge and he rushed to complete it without thinking thru. Here again, Maya reminded him that often in our desire to win, we forget to ask the rules!
Day 3 of challenge: Lo and behold, the moment Maya mentioned the challenge, Rudras first question was "Rules kya hai?"
Another interesting bit is that during Day 2 of the challenge, Rudra had touched Maya twice. The second time was a bit more forceful and that peeved her. Maya warned him to not touch her without her permission again. We saw Rudra today reminding Rishi of the same.
I am loving this guru-shisya bond that Maya-Rudra have going. It's going to be very interesting to see their dynamics independent of a romantic track.
Would love to know your thoughts!
