Love the parallels you draw with mytho'.. esp with Mahabharat! 👏

Thanks, Swetha!😊

Actually I read a lot of mythology. And Mahabharat is one such epic where you read something new every time. It is eternal. So that is why, when I compare it with Maya's Mahabharat - it is easier to understand.

Is this controlling, mollycoddling, protecting or possessive?

I think he’s just freakishly controlling. He wants to dictate every aspect of his kids life. There’s no “oh my kids can’t get hurt” protectiveness. It’s just “I’m going to handpick who stays in their life” behavior.

Also main dard nahin dena chahta deserves a special mention 😉

Let us see if her fire consumes her or becomes the light to guide her out of the darkness.

I think she's at that stage where retreat towards light is not possible. She's in a chasm of nothingness and emptiness and therefore has powers whose extent are undefined. She's got nothing to lose so she has no reason to fear anything at this stage. Let us see if she starts finding things that she feels she's got to hold on to again, in life and thus she starts experiencing fear of loss or betrayal or hurt. Her dialogue of dard ki aadat kind of shows that's her shield and her are strength. If Rudra or Rishi are able to even partly heal that pain in her, she'll become vulnerable again, and will not be this powerful.

Yo, I know the basic storyline of MB, having watching shows and read stories etc. But for extensive reading where TV shows deviate and stuff, can you suggest where I can start from?

Well, I started with the basic Mahabharat text only, then there are so many authors who write different works and different versions of it, I have read a lot of Bengali versions. And of course, the TV is there. Although, TV does not totally deviate from the truth. You should also go to Quora once. There are so many people who post questions on Mahabharat and a lot of people post studies and researches on the site.

Already done. But there's the KMG version and there's some CE version. Idk if I need to start from there? And no, my proficiency to read such heavy literature is in English alone. I can't read it in Hindi or Sanskrit or any other language. 😆 So is it available?
