no matter what we say, ekta sure knows how to handle her shows.. so i hope she casts them
even tho she never casts already coupled pair again

I strongly feel that the makers , after the low trps or channel pressure what u say...Had lost their confidence on the story. They were confused nd not sure what to show or not. The tracks were so speedy. For me few reasons for this were
1. The concept was bold in its own way...infedility nd than having romance nd love with spouse of your ex husband / wife. The trp aunties couldn't digest the concept. Even I can't suggest my mom who is conservative to watch this show.
2. Now the working girls, students like me. They surely wanted to watch the show on TV. But most of us preferred online bcoz somehow they couldn't manage to watch it on TV. for their own reasons. Infact bepanaaah had good online trp I think for this reason.
3. The speedy tracks.
4. Zoya. I think She was not a typical female lead. Audience didn't accepted her. Moreover..Continous comparison of her with Maya..That part ruined her.
The paak poosh track...Makers tried to make zoya strong ,but that in turn ruined the character. That was so un necessary track. Then after the leap...They again tried to make her strong...Nd she was completely changed...But it was a bit fast. Infact arnoor love story couldn't get justified.
5. The fake marriage track...( I think that may be channel interference bcoz at that time many fans wanted their romance. Even I have read many negative comments on you tube like kuchh Ni hone Wala yha Chalo yha se bla bla Bla ...People were very badly impatient yaar.

To sum up...The concept was unique but the story needed patience, maturity. I so wished that sakshi could ever realised that yes Aditya was immature, but all we need in relationship to communicate. That that slap , that bitter medicine given to adi was actually needed when Pooja was alive.
I so wished that Adiya could have a deep conversation about their previous marriages. A movie like kuchh kuchh hota h..Nd then a conversation that how the things have changed.
There were many things to do, to show...Only if we all had patience nd makers have a cool mind.

I won't blame the creatives. They tried their best to maintain the essence despite all interference from channel. when channel pokes their nose in, it becomes a struggle to maintain the crux of the story. I don't feel fake marriage was completely interference. Even in actual script, AdiYa would have had to pretend to be a couple, this brought them closer. What i feel was channel's doing was introducing rajveer. His character never made sense. Basically I feel the circumstances around AdiYa pretending to be a couple would have been different in the original script. What romance were people expecting?? 😆 they still hadn't moved on properly from poosh. All romance would have been after their own marriage which sadly we didn't get to see much of. Zoya has always been a highly misunderstood character, your right she wasn't a typical FL. people just expected her to be perfect which she wasn't neither was Aditya. The comparison between Zoya and maya was only done at the start of the show. I never
understood why people felt the need to compare when there was nothing similar about them.

I think Bepannaah was never meant for indian tv for the reasons you stated. The concept was non conventional. Would have been great if it was structured as a tv series with finite seasons. Atleast then CVs wouldn't have had to produce 5 episodes per week. But the show still managed to gain decent ratings even when colors started airing the episodes 15 mins late at 10:30 slot. The ratings were better than the current show channel replaced it with 😆

cherryfairy I wish wish nd wish this finite series concept on
Indian tv. This is the only way through which we can get the good content without interruption of trps.
Because this trp system kills the souls of shows.

i tend to agree with some of the points Tyshal makes.
When Bepannah ended so abruptly like everyone else I too held the channel responsible .They are of course totally responsible for the brutal way in which BP was truncated., their interference in introducing boring and senseless tracks to stretch the serial beyond its original concept.
My take is as follows: I believe BP was intended as a finite show with a bound script. It opened to a rousing welcome and sent trps soaring in the first week itself ...something unheard of in ITV. It was an original concept beautifully penned, directed and above all acted. Seeing the immediate success of BP I do feel the makers may have also wanted to extend the show along with the channel. At the start they worked in tandem the problems only surfacing when the channel may have tried to influence the story line as they were accommodating the PH. They also proceeded to mess around with the timing pushing it a few times till it became a late night show. The audience for late night shows differs from 9 pm viewers. They may have pushed for more adult content which was not in the original script. There were viewers asking for such scenes even though they would not have gone well with AdiYa moving from betrayal to consolation and friendship ...love would take time or the concept of BP would have faltered. In this tug of war Ph finally decided to be firm ...channel then acted mean and gave them just a week to wind up if they did not conform to their demands.
So the channel is largely to blame of course. We the fans are the losers specially with the end totally ruining the fragrance of AdiYa.
There is no point therefor in a revival with Season 2 as what has been destroyed cannot be patched.to bring BP back to its original concept.
What would be great is if the PH with the same leads and director gave us another serial as attractive but on another channel that does not indulge in pettiness.

I have always maintained the fact that if BP was still on air, then it would have been completely ruined. Kudos to the PH for taking it away before Colors would have turned BP into another IMMJ (that show was supposed to be 200 episodes finite but look what it's become now) I have seen far worse tracks being introduced into shows due to the channel. in BP even though the last few
weeks were weird, I read shruti's analysis and it made me feel better. The medicine room scene was the last bit of essence Ani sir was able to showcase.

Colors is unprofessional. It's not the first time they have ended shows on short notice due to creative differences with the PH. BP atleast had 1 week to wrap up, swabhiman team were given only 2 days to end. I read somewhere Bepannaaah was supposed to be 300 episodes basically a 1 year script. A Contract was signed between channel and PH that's why during the 100th episode success party, jenshad were confident that the show would reach another 200-300 episodes. in one of the early interviews, harshad said we have a 12-15 month script ready. Cvs would have stuck to the plot and said goodbye after a year. But Yh PH didn't want to give in to the stupid demands of the channel anymore with regards to the story hence they were left with no choice but to close the show.

"The medicine room scene was the last bit of essence Ani sir was able to showcase."

Aah ! That was indeed divine. The fragrance of that scene remains when all around was falling apart. Aditya's dialogue " Mein Ram nahi hoon. Mein sirf ek bewakoof insan hoon were iconic and will remain in my mind and heart forever. These are the touches that set BP high above other shows on ITV.

Colours is definitely a rogue channel and should be excluded by all PH & viewers. Actually since they have such fertile brains for hatching plots/tracks they should just write their own serials instead of meddling around with other's work. After the debacle of BP as well others that I do not know of PHs would be better off avoiding them unless they are making shows on bhoot/pret/dayans/nagins. Bepannah was certainly not meant for them.

Yes I do remember reading about the interviews you mention .Till the 100 episodes success party all seemed hunky dory between the channel & the PH. Also recollect that it flagged off as a bound script for a year. Can only gauge the traumatic time the Cvs & director must have suffered dealing with the channel's interference. The details we will never know.

What I feel most cheated about is that we will never know the original script. If what we saw left such wonderful fragrance the entire story must have been sheer magic.

The loss of this experience makes the mind falter at times conjecturing uselessly.

Let us be happy with the journey we enjoyed and the joy of seeing BP, HC,JW walk away with almost all the awards.
