Chapter 4

"I am going to be away for a month" announced Aditya

"But why?" his mother asked

"I am returning after six months. I want to get back on my game. It might take time." said Aditya

"But Adi? This is not done. How will you manage your diet and other chores?" asked Anjana

"Ma! I am an adult, I will manage" In the background he could hear Zoya stifle a laugh

"What's so funny" he asked annoyed

"You calling yourself an adult. It is funny, believe me" Zoya said.

With that Anjana, and Zoya had a hearty laugh while Aditya pouted.

A few hours later

"Zoya!" Aditya called out

"Yes, Aditya!" she answered

"Will you be ok?" he asked

"What? Why?" she asked, puzzled

"I mean I'll be gone for a month. So will you be able to manage?" he asked

She was floored by his concern. She looked at him with a lot of affection.

"Yes, Aditya. I am going to be fine. It's all going to be ok. I just want you to concentrate on work. I want you to support you in your profession, in your love for flying" She answered

"Thanks Zoya!" said Aditya

"Thanks? For what?" asked Zoya

"You know for what" he replied

"You've done so much for me, at a time when you didn't need to, at a time when you didn't have to. Now, it is my turn. Whatever happens, we are in this together, remember?" said Zoya

"Yes, we are" he said with affirmation

A few hours later, everyone had seen him off. They were happy that Aditya was moving on with life. He was letting go of all the bad that had befallen him.

Aditya was filled with a sense of strength. He was sure of his decision of flying. He knew it's going to be fine. It going to be better than fine.

Zoya's phone buzzed. She picked it up to see there was a message from Aditya.

"I thought about our conversation the other day. I quite liked your idea. I look forward to your emails. See you soon. Bye. PS: Its aditya_hooda@abcmail.com" read his message.

"Such a cutie! He's never going to grow up" she thought

A few hours later

"Hi this is Zoya from ZoSh events. I had received a call regarding event you wanted us to organise"

"Hi Zoya! I am Sanya, from the Ministry of External Affairs (MoEA). I am the PA of the person who is responsible for holding this event."

They sat down and chatted a little bit about their lives which included their childhood, education, love for Bollywood and cold climates.

"Sanya, what kind of an event is the MoEA hosting?" asked Zoya

"Ok, so here's how it goes. Our government wishes to strengthen its ties with countries worldwide. To do this, we are organising a summit. Various dignitaries will be visiting India to be a part of it. It is going to be a 10-day long event. It is being held in Mumbai for 5 days and then in Delhi. And the collective budget is 10 crore rupees. You'd be handling the events in Mumbai and will receive half the amount that is 5 crores rupees" explained Sanya

"Isn't this a big budget? Zoya asked

"Not really. It depends on the time duration and scale of the event Sanya said

"Ok" said Zoya

"So, what have you decided?" asked Sanya

"I haven't decided yet. Before giving you my answer, I just want to ask a few questions?" said Zoya

"Sure, go ahead" said Sanya

"Why have you made me this offer? You must have done your research well enough to know that our company hasn't being doing well, yet you.." said Zoya

"We know of the series of failed events. But we think you should do it. My boss an Mr Harvardhan Hooda are friends. And the latter mentioned your company. That's when my boss decided to offer you the contract. Moreover, since we are a government organisation, we want to tell the media that we have made a deal that has benefitted your failing company and has helped it grow. It'll give us good publicity." Answered Sanya

"Ok. Let me think about it" said Zoya

"I'll call after 2 days. I need an answer then" said Sanya

"And you'll have an answer" Zoya said

"Cool. I'll see you Zoya"

"You too Sanya
