Ikr! Zoya is a girl who left everything for Yash and loved him dearly and that same person who was her world died! So how is supposed to behave? The character of Zoya is very different from Maya and that is what her "fans" could not accept. Like come on woh Kya Zindagi buar Maya hi rahegi and coming to Aditya Hooda as you said he faced the same thing twice and this he was angry, gradually we are seeing the development in their characters where adi is getting calm and Zoya IS getting strong and this is how it should be. A show is totally worthless without character development. So time is required to make that development if they were strong and cheerful from the beginning then what is the use of a "story"

Aditya and Zoya have recently lost their spouses whom they used to love madly plus they came to know so many things about their spouses which were unknown to them and people are expecting to behave them absolutely in a normal way??
People are expecting Zoya who never even travelled in a bus to stop crying and behave like a strong woman all at a once??
People are expecting Aditya who hates cheating the most,has witnessed cheating not one but two times in his life becoming lovey dubey all at a once??
If they start behaving perfect right from the beginning then what will be left in the story????
