As a viewer can't say I am bothered about the trps because as long as there is a good story and pacing of the show it shouldn't matter. However, i have to confess I haven't found myself running to watch yesterday's or today's show. While, I think Jennifer and Harshad are fantastic actors and i am sure they brought it I find myself having a problem with the whole birthday track.
The story feels a little circuitous at the moment. Something is always flaring either Zoya or Adi against each other and they end up saying the same (similar dialogues) at varying levels of intensity. I think the show over the past few weeks has established very clearly that Aditya believes his spouse cheated and Zoya believes the opposite. Constant clashes based on this difference is not entertaining especially when the story barely moves.
I don't believe the mystery needs to be solved right away or anything like that but I would hope at the very least both characters were closer to finding out some hard evidences against their respective spouses. Hand holding, investments and paintings are not enough. Though Pooja's lying about Chennai/Mussoorie is at least some indication of deceit. I think the creatives need to explain the following:
1. Give more background into why Wasim thought Yash was not good enough for his daughter. Doesn't have to be the main reason. But small clues that build up to the big one would be welcome.
2. Continuity on the the Siddiqui's. Are we to believe that the parents never even tried to check up on where their youngest disappeared to.
3. An explanation as to why a random picture where Yash and Aditya aren't even acknowledging each other is suspicious to the police. Why do the police believe it was a murder in the first place. Was the car tampered with? Did something about the scene look staged?
4. Why does Mahi think she will have any access to the insurance money? Seeing as Yash left everything to his wife, it's conceivable he nominated her for his insurance money as well. Also, now that Aditya owns majority stake...how much can Zoya and Mahi even rightfully claim as theirs? Another thing, doesn't Mahi stand to gain more if she was plotting to take over the company and not destroy it?
5. Madhu keeps harping that Zoya never visited them but did they ever try and patch things up with the couple and visit their son and his wife? What were the deeper issues between the four of them?
6. How did Yash and Zoya even meet? Pooja and Aditya have been established as best friends.
7. The birthday track - why was this necessary. Or let me put it this way why was it necessary for Zoya to be present there with the cake. The divorce papers drama could have happened in many other ways. Aditya for the longest time has been unnecessarily cruel to Zoya. They could have had one of their many fights and Zoya would still have believed (with some manipulation from Mahi) that Aditya was being cruel to her.
I understand this is a daily soap but I think to be fresh and interesting it's not necessary to drag out fights and scenes because you want to show "chemistry". The leads have ample chemistry without the need for random trip and falls and repetitive fights. The story needs to move. I think Bepannah has tremendous potential and should focus on making their story the hero, which according to me is flagging at the moment.
I do not mean to be insulting. This is just my own observations and opinions on why I haven't run to catch every episode.
