Sorry, I have not been in the mood for IF. I don't know why, it just feels so... Off, being here. 😕 Which isn't all that strange, sometimes I simply don't 'click' with certain forums. I too, have been dying to talk to people about the show, but dil hai ki maan ta nehi

OMG - totally feel you on this! I used to watch KZK growing up and when i started watching Dhrubotara, i totally got the "Mr. Bajaj" vibe!

The show is progressing really well so far, the writing has been cohesive and nothing is lingering too long or hopping sub-plots abruptly. I really hope they can keep this momentum going.

Totally agree with everything you mentioned in your post - couldn't say it any better myself.

I do want to bring up one point that i has been lingering in my mind - regarding Dhrubo and Tara's marriage. I get that it wasn't D's motive to marry T but merely said that in jest, essentially to teach her a lesson/silence her. When she does accept his proposal or rather calls his bluff, he takes it as a business opportunity and marries her to cripple the Chowdhury's. However as a shrewd business man, i think that was a huge risk he took by signing the papers to return everything to the Chowdhury's before they got married. What if Tara had attempted to run away/escape the wedding? I found that unsettling - but perhaps a creative liberty to further the story? The flip side is also equally possible - had D promised to return everything after completing the wedding rituals then backed out - that would have been just as risky. So i guess it worked out?

Perhaps the writers are trying to show that regardless of D's motivation to ruin the Chowdhury's he still has a moral compass - he keeps his word...?

The other thing that really bothers me and i hope this gets addressed in time is Agni's character. I don't like him. Kudos to the actor but i don't like the character - he has no moral compass. From the start of the show he's been shown to care for Tara as per his convenience. He's nice to her when it suits him but doesn't take a split second to turn on her and lash out. How is that love? That's so immature in my opinion. His lack of care and concern towards Tara was so evident the night Bhalo baba was admitted to the hospital and they needed cash for his treatment. I can't get over the fact that he tells Tara (supposedly the love of his life) to arrange for the cash from where ever she can even if that means SELLING herself?! How awful!

In that sense - Tara did just as she was told - she sold her happiness to save her Bhalo Baba... and then Agni has the audacity to call her a traitor?!

In that sense i would say D has MUCH more integrity - whatever his motivation - he has never outright disrespected T. Even with the marriage proposal - a slimy businessman may have proposed spending the night in exchange for returning everything - but he married her and has kept her with proper respect in his home. I really did appreciate this - he always respects her in public and in the home when he's not blinded by his short temper.

I hope the show keeps the momentum and we get to see D and T learn about each other as people and keep their prejudices aside and learn to trust each other. I do have major concerns about the sister - i think she's totally shady. She just plays nice but i really have a suspicion that she had a hand in what happened with Dipti and Anuja.

Do share your thoughts! So excited to have a space to talk about the show!

I love the writing and the whole cast. But Dhrubo and Tara as played by their respective actors are just brilliant. Dhrubo has swag, that's for sure.

Sure it has it's share of cliches and familiar plot lines that seem to crop up in all the shows but I appreciate how the writers have managed to add new twists to familiar plot lines. Like the first time D sees T and then how D hides and watches T out of sheer curiosity in the beautiful temple scene and even the marriage proposal scene. I loved that he had no intention of actually marrying her and was only doing it to teach her a lesson but then the situation got out of his hand when she called his bluff and then he had to marry her. Talk about being hoisted by his own petard. LOL.

The story reminds me of the old Kasauti Zindagi Ki that I used to watch as a kid years ago but I do prefer this version. I appreciate that the writers have taken care to show the raw attraction, a certain magnetism that exists between D and T right from the start. I've watched that escalator scene a dozen times. LOL. For a few seconds, they completely forgot themselves and their surroundings and got lost in each other. Of course, given their enmity, they forced themselves to forget this until the next time they touched by accident in the car when D gave T a ride home. Now that they're married, I look forward to watching them struggle and finally give in to this attraction.

I also appreciate that D is not cruel to T post-marriage. Even when he thinks she has done something wrong (like the milkshake incident), he still gets to the bottom of the truth to judge T fairly. He also defends her against everyone else. For the first time in her life, Tara is being appreciated by most of the people around her and doesn't have to work as an unpaid servant to earn her keep. T, in return, has set aside her prejudices to try and understand the real D that he keeps hidden. I loved that she refused to give up his identity to the Police and was willing to go to jail for him.

Can't wait to see what happens next.
OMG - totally feel you on this! I used to watch KZK growing up and when i started watching Dhrubotara, i totally got the "Mr. Bajaj" vibe!
I like Dhrubo more. ☺️ Probably because he isn't really barging in between Tara and Agni and has a legitimate reason to be angry with the Choudhury family. Tara and Agni were never going to be happy, irrespective of his presence.

However as a shrewd business man, i think that was a huge risk he took by signing the papers to return everything to the Chowdhury's before they got married.

He has good reason to trust Tara. He has offered her money, power, and position to get out of the way and she has refused every time. He knows how honest she is and she always does the right thing. Or there's perhaps a clause in the document that he'll return the house and company only if the wedding goes through. I wonder if those papers will make an appearance at some later date to cause trouble.

He's a spoiled brat with entitlement issues, just like his sister. The whole family constantly coddle him. He thinks of Tara as something he owns and now is raging that someone took his toy away. He's also not that smart, otherwise, how could he not see the real reason Tara married Dhrubo? The reason is as clear as day but his first instinct is to believe that Tara must have sold herself to Dhrubo for his money. He never really respected Tara. He might want her but he doesn't love her.

Agreed. Ranja wants Dhrubo all to herself. She wants to be the most important person in his life and I won't be surprised if it turned out that she had something to do with Anuja's death. It's telling that she has never gone to visit Dipti.

Thanks for your post. So nice to be able to talk about this show.

P.S - How do I do quotes on this forum? Can anybody help?

Re Dhrubo vs Bajaj - agreed I like Dhrubo more too - he has this unique swag about him and unlike Bajaj he had legit reasons behind his actions - it wasn't just "oh i like her i'm going to make her mine no matter what it takes"

I hope the papers do make an appearance later so the Chowdhurys' get their lesson and recognize to what extent Tara has gone to save the family and business. It was so beyond obvious that Tara must have married Dhrubo for that very reason but everyone except Pishimoni will just believe what they want too. Like seriously Ashish is that influential that he'll plead and beg and a person like DJ Lahiri will melt and return everything!? How stupid is everyone?!

Agni is incredibly entitled and immature, he's never had to fend for himself hence no emotional maturity and you are so right, Tara is his "possession" or "toy" and he's all bent out of shape cause his "toy" got taken away. I really detest the fact that he's using Gunja - granted Gunja is a brat herself, but it's wrong on so many levels to show Agni pretending to romance Gunja - this is how young impressionable girls acquire severe trust issues. He might think he's just using her and this is collateral damage but Gunja should have been left out of this.

I'm worried about Tara though, based on the precap with the Sari - its probably one of 2 things 1) That's Anuja's sari and he has many sentiments attached to that 2) He bought that for Dipti since she was asking for a pink sari the other day... either way who will save Tara from Dhrubo's wrath... Ranja did this on purpose to get her in trouble... Ranja is playing very dirty very discreetly - she uses Dhrubo's blind trust in her to her advantage every time...hopefully the negativity and plotting don't become extreme and intolerable like all other shows where it becomes impossible to keep watching...

Dhrubo's mom is awesome. She's the real MVP of this show. The way she saved Tara from Dhrubo's wrath and then deduced that someone is trying to sabotage the marriage was fantastic to watch.

But Tara really got on my nerves. She didn't even try to defend herself. She just stood there and let Dhrubo berate her. She needed to remind him exactly how she ended up as his wife in his house. I kinda miss the old Tara who'd have read him the riot act.

I can't figure out one thing why does Tara go to Chowdhury house again for Ostomongola? Does she think she is the daughter of that house? The way she happily enters the house with Dhruba that she expects everyone cordially receives her. Chadni who is the real daughter never does this ritual. Then why does she do? For humiliation? Does she forget how grandly she was kicked out last time? 🤔If she has a slight of self respect, will she ever do it? Writer 4nothingly creates messes.

Shekhar knew Shamsher was innocent but didn't utter a word. Just because Shamsher agreed to take murder charge, Shekhar agreed with him? smiley5 For this, Tara has to endure criticism. She is tagged murderer's daughter. Did Shamsher even think about her?

Where is her real father? Isn't he still in jail? When will he come out? She should go to visit her father in jail instead of going that house.

Tara has the habit to be humiliated. She also did the same thing while staying in the Chowdhury House.

Now she again goes that house for Osto mongola. My question is, is that house ever to her own house?

Today's episode Asish manages to take Agni's sign in file. It's better if their business goes to Dhrubo's hand. At least he can handle it better than Agni. Agni who is the real heir acts like worst than Asish. Asish is more clever than him though he is antagonist.

It's high time Asish should be exposed. Now after getting the sign when they will be bankrupt, at that time his real face should come out.
