As per Islamic rules, since we are so hell bent on showing the laws right, Zain and Aaliyah got their nikkah done twice, which is wrong cause the second nikkah makes the first nikkah invalid, hence you have to do a third for you to be married again.

If the first nikkah is invalid, the divorce is invalid, hence no need for the halala nikkah, and i think thats what the twist is going to be.
