Hola everyone. Special *waves* to people who missed me.(I hope atleast 2 or 3 didđ)
Coming to my topic, I have been reading a lot of comments about Zain & Aliya for the past few episodes, especially Aliya(I am sure that's not news). If anyone feels am offending them, my sincere apologies. And those who don't agree/like what I have to say, PLEASE feel free to ignore this thread. Just a few questions and I would like some honest answers. You don't even need to reply them in this thread, but be honest to yourself.
From Aliya's POV, consider yourself in her shoes when Gauhar told her about the pregnancy and Rizwan. When you know that the man whom your sister is going to marry, has impregnated another girl, what will you do?
Reaction 1: Ya right! As if I will believe you Gauhar. Let the engagement happen, I will then share this news with the family and decide whether its true or not. Of course I know Rizwan was a womanizer along with Zain, who did no work and spent his days with his friends in the night and slept during day. How can I even doubt him? *shocked*
Reaction 2: My god! Pregnant? I should halt this engagement before things go wrong. I know my sister ever since she was born while I know Rizwan for all of 7 months! I need to save my sister. And I need to think about justice to a girl and her unborn child. What if by not believing her I end up making the biggest mistake of my life?
Does this mean Aliya was right? Absolutely not. Gauhar may be trapping Rizwan for a game plan. It could be her means of some weird revenge? Anything is possible. She even tries to clarify with Gauhar. But does that make Aliya wrong as well? She is not a saint who needs to be calm when there a shocking news is given to her. And do we really want such an engagement which is going to tainted later by an accusation on the groom? Its better they all know now itself, solve it, prove his innocence and get engaged happily without any misunderstandings? So am not gonna judge her whether she was right or wrong. She acted like any sister would. If Aayat can't see it, so be it. It's not necessary she support Aliya that Rizwan is not like that. Instead of accusing her sister, whom she knows all her life, why dint she turn to Rizwan and act like an adult saying, "Please Rizwan. Prove yourself right. Not for me, because I know. But to prove Gauhar wrong. So that we can get engaged with all the misunderstandings cleared. Why do we need to hurry?"
Coming to Zain's anger towards Aliya. Well obviously your friend is being accused. You have been with your friend all these years, he is a relative by marriage. And Aliya hurt him stressing on the point "Meri Behen". Can we just rewind a little backwards in the show? How many of you remember how Zain reacted to Aliya when Barkat accused Aliya of trying to separate the family? Wasn't he impulsive? Did he not tell if not creating problems, don't make the problems bigger than they already are? So wasn't Aliya hurt similarly?
Now then Zain apologized later. Made a sorry sign with neon lights, trying to hold ears. Aliya forgave him. But please note that, at that point of time, they had not confessed their love. They were still exploring. It is not a small matter now ki kaan pakdo or do some grand gesture as a sorry and you are forgiven. They are maturing as a husband and wife, so let them tackle this situation similarly. When this gets over, and IF Aliya is proven wrong, then I would love to see how she apologizes to the family, to Aayat, to Rizwan and to Zain. Give her the same chance Zain was given to accept her mistake and own it up.
After watching tonight's episode there is no doubt they are both having a major fight because both their egos are pricked. He feels insulted, she feels insulted. And the yelling match was pretty awesome. Amazing performance by Harshad and Preetika. So at the end of it, its not about whether they are right or wrong. Its about you vz me game. She wants him to find the humanity in him and he wants her to give him some respect in front of their family. They made all altoo faltoo excuses tonight while fighting. BUT, that's what I loved about them.
Sorry for making this long. But I don't like being judgmental on 2 characters, two humans who make their mistakes. Putting myself in Zain or Aliya's shoes, I don't think I would have acted differently than what they did. Saying otherwise would make me a hypocrite. Just for the sake of a show being fiction, you show everything in black and white doesn't make sense. Every human being is gray shaded. And I don't believe in bashing or accusing a character when they make mistakes. I let them make it, and wait for the day they realize it and rectify it. Both Zain and Aliya are their own people. They both have a brain, they both have feelings, they both are separate individuals to understand all that.
PS: I am not trying to say don't post your opinions or telling you to change your views. Just like everyone else, I felt this after reading some disturbing posts. I love both Zain & Aliya equally. I don't consider one above the other. They are both equal to me, whether they do good or bad.
Special Thanks: To Gagu and Ashu for assisting me in getting this post done. đ¤Łđ¤Łđ¤Ł You both are so awesome! <3
