Okay...(hehe get what I did there lol) But seriously I think that the quote from TFIOS describes the love between Zain and Aliya. They found their love within such an unexpected place, one was searching while the other content with just living life yet they met at a crossroad, and everything from the past literally became oblivion, they never really looked back, only kept pushing forth.

And what a pure couple they are?! The girl is undoubtedly humble and thankful for everything that she has in life and is content. The boy who has everything is willing to give everything up, even his happiness for the return of the smile upon his parents face. These two are just so freakin adorbs!!

"You don't get to choose if you get hurt in this world...but you do have some say in who hurts you."

That sums up ZaYa's love story. Their love, their hatred, everything stays in between them. Through their entire journey they only hurt each other and only allowed each other to hurt them, no one else. (we're gonna ignore Suri's annoying attempts) And the fact that Zain clearly stated that whatever happens it stays between them and no one else even his own mother has no say in their affair.

"I fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly, and then all at once."

That was Zain and Aliya's state. They both knew they loved each other but were still were drifting here and there, and then came Zubbu, the one igniting the slumber for both and then all at once it became clear to both Zain and Aliya that they were incomplete without each other. Their love was happening slowly but when realization dawned upon both neither backed down, they admitted to their feelings and were ready to confess (Oh how I love that, because you don't see that happen in indian serials :/)

ZaYa are just an amazing and realistically portrayed couple, it leaves me awe. They are two ordinary yet extraordinary people who found their little infinity with each other and they content with it.
