My only concern is that off-lately, I see too much of Zain vs. Aliyah which worries me for the sanity of this forum. For me, both are not really at fault .. its just the situation. Its not like they intentionally tried to hurt one another.. it just happened unknowingly.
I see all these things about how Aliyah should say sorry first or Zain... honestly how does it even matter? When will everyone grow up? They both made mistakes be it unknowingly or due to circumstances .. the one who accepts his or her mistake .. is usually the bigger person. One saying sorry doesn't belittle anyone in a relationship.
I think what attracted me to Beintehaa was how their relationship, despite them hating each other, was all about them supporting each other. To the outside world they cover up, they don't reveal their problems, they remain a team against the world. What happens in their relationship is their own thing, and it is between them and them only. It was extremely heartening to see a relationship like that, with mutual support.
Frankly when I thought it through, I believe that that is the reason Zain freaked out over Zubair (it could have been shown maybe in not such an abrupt way, but like you said, we had also been forcing the CVs to close out the Bawdi track) - because this was the first time that an "outsider" was featured in their relationship in this way. From Aaliya's side, I think it was her wanting to share her love with someone, and her confusion on how to express it to Zain that made her turn to Zubair to ask his advice.
But what has not changed is the core of their relationship, which was underlined in yesterday and today's episodes, in the fact that they still do not let others into their problems. They deal with them as two individuals who are in a relationship, not as two people who are fighting or who are in two camps or against each other. I think so far as this remains, like you said, a sorry coming from either side does not matter, because that is the reality of maintaining any relationship even in real life. And this is where Beintehaa needs to maintain this core - this attitude of both of them to make this marriage work with each other, because this is really the USP of their relationship also.
What you said about the maha-sangam is also true - lots of shows where I have seen this happen, where the track changes just to build up to the maha-sangam. I think this was handled slightly better, but it does feel a bit rushed. Will wait to see the episodes building up to it.
Anyway I hope this forum does not degenerate to Zain vs. Aaliya. I have seen it happen from very close quarters on other shows, and it is quite killing. So far as everyone knows that both characters are equally responsible for the success of the show, and that, at the end of the day, it is fiction written by a third person and supposed to be entertainment only for us, we are safe.
