Wow, I think this is my first post on IF after almost 4, 5 years... But I just had to awaken from my dormancy and silent reading to make this post! Anyway, brief intro, I'm Nimmi, and a grand oldie on the forums, been here from the Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi times (was even the mod of that crazy forum!)...! 😛
As is everyone else on the forum, I'm in love with the scene of Zain waking up and finding Aaliya next to him. But what really makes the scene so achingly sweet to me (seriously! I felt a lump in my throat and everything!! ☺️), is the beautiful track that they played during it. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better than the initial alaap (is that the right word? Music experts, please weigh in!) and the instrumental bit, in come the lyrics "Ishq hai tu mera... Ishq hai..."! That coupled with the tender, loving looks Zain gives Aaliya, made me *siiigh* *swooon* *deaaad*.
Zain, my boy, you seemed pretty far-gone in that scene. I wouldn't even be surprised if this was the moment he looks back to, when he thinks when exactly he fell in love with Aaliya... It wouldn't even have been out of place if he reached forward and kissed her, the attraction and affection was just so palpable at the moment! ☺️ (Have to keep reminding myself that there's a long way to go for that, but I just can't waittt! 🤪🤪🤪)
Plus that hint of an awestruck smile, when he realized that she fell asleep like this for him! That miniscule, almost imperceptible grin by Harshad just completely made the scene for me! And the way he swallows hard, when his face is oh-so-close to her's while slipping that pillow behind her head! It's these tiny things that really have me hooked! Take a bow, Mr. Arora, you have truly arrived into the league of Irresistible Desi TV Heros! 👏👏
But you gotta think of it from poor Aaliya's POV too; not only does the poor thing have to sleep sitting up, with her neck at that awkward angle, but she wakes up to Zain's face right next to her's, staring at her with an unreadable, strange expression, hands in her hair, on the nape of her neck... She has never seen the side of Zain that that affectionately cares for her comfort... 😳😳 It seems to come out only when she's sleeping, and thus she has no idea that it even exists... No wonder she doesn't dwell on the moment at all, and pointedly, and not-so-politely asks "Kya hai?!? 😳😳😳", making Zain hastily spring away from her and claim he was merely checking her vitals to see if she was still alive. 🤣 Zain miyaan, aise bhi kaun check karta hai if someone is breathing or not? 😉😛
I just stopped watching the episode after this scene, didn't bother with all the family nonsense, coz that was it; nothing could top this scene for me, I just wanted to float high above on my happy little cloud, humming "Ishq hai tu mera... Ishq hai..."
(Here's to more scenes, episodes, and finally a fantastic show that made me come back and be active on IF again! 🥳🤪 Coz I really missed it! 😃)
