my comments in BoldYou guys are forgetting that even in Fahad's case, Aaliya was ready to tell the truth, but she did not because it was Fahad who asked her not to. In this case, she did not even had a chance to interact with Aayat privately. She wasn't aware of Aayat's innocence. Who knows she might have reacted differently. exactly, she should have made the chance to interact with Aayat and find out the WHOLE truth rather than stand their disclosing HALF the truth. aadha sach jhoot se bhi zyaada khatarnak hota hai.
But you cannot compare this situation to Fahad's. In Fahad's case, they were trying to figure out a way to fix the problem - before anybody finds out. By hiding the truth. The situation was fixable. Ayat's problem was fixed by zain - her pics were destroyed so there was no way her name in the escort business would ever be bought out.
But what one expects to do in this situation? This was a serious matter, because this was all about a girl's reputation. I think, what Aaliya did was right by bringing everything out in the open. You cannot play with a girl's reputation. There should not be any hide-n-seek. And I'm glad that even Aayat ended up blurting out the truth --- Because I believe, that was the right thing to do. As a matter of fact, it showed their upbringing. exactly my point...this was about a girl's reputation, her izzat and her parent's izzat. did it REALLY have to be disgraced in front of every extended family member? and 2 outsiders that aren't even classed as family to aayat? NO... Aayat only owes an explanation to her parents...so the truth being revealed to her parents was essential and im ok with that, but I don't agree with the way Aaliya disclosed the truth in front of usman's family and 2 outsiders. I didn't think that was necessarily. suraiya's plan was to do tht to disgrace shabana and ghulam in front of everyone...and we were all saying how disgusting tht is, but aliya did the same thing, she disclosed the truth in front of everyone...and I didn't think it was necessary for it 2 b disclosed the way it was. Aaliya could have handled it a lot better than she did. when Fahad was encouraged to tell the truth, he owned up to his parents in front of his wives... these were the 4 ppl he owes an explanation to...while Aayat (thanks to aliya) was put on the spot and expected to give an explanation in front of ppl she technically does not owe an explanation too... how humiliating it must have been for her and her parents... i'm not bashing Aaliya I just feel she handled the situation VERY badly and also didn't bother to find out the FULL truth before standing their revealing it to everyone

I totally agree with all of you! More than anything else you could see how hurt Aliya was and especially because both Ayath and Zain decided to lie to her and hide the truth. Maybe if they would have told her, things would have turned out differently today. All in all, Im not dissapointed at all and Aliyas reaction is completely justified. I mean I wouldnt expect her to act normal or lie again to save Ayath because sooner or later those 3 witches would have told her parents and would have created a big and much worse scene than today. Im glad Aliya told everyone the truth and finally ended this whole thing instead of Suraya revealing it.

But how can we know what was going on in her head? That is why I said Aaliya's reaction was quite instinctive. Half lie? All Aaliya knew, that was the full truth. How can that be a half lie, when from her perspective that was the full truth? That is why we saw the hurt on her face. Tell me, how would you have reacted if it was your lil sister? It is easy to say would have done this, or that. But sometimes, circumstances do not allow us such chances. When Aayat started telling the whole truth, you could feel the pain Aaliya felt on her sister's behalf.

Yuvika, no the problem was not fixed. The pictures are ashes, yes. But how can you stop people's tongue from working full time? Where a girl reputation's concerned, one does not need any proofs to destroy it. Betting and a girl's rep? Entirely two differ matters.

Ok, how do I put this? I totally understand where you are coming from. This is not even a question of disagreement, but my perspective's different.
I think, like mentioned earlier, it's better to receive a slap from your own sibling (family) than having the ugly truth out from a third party. If Aaliya would not have done this, outsiders could have made it worse. This was not just the question of owning the truth to her parents, it was a serious offence. She is only a kid, after all.
Let me give you a personal example. My folks do not hesitate to scold me or pinpoint my errors in front of their friends. Normally, I do not mind that but it gets on my last nerves when that third party is someone I do not like. I always end up questioning em about. In return, they reply something along the lines of, if you cannot handle your family's criticism in front of others, how will you deal with the world?
Yes, Aayat does owe an explanation to her parents --- but what could they have done? Even today they were crying buckets like weak, old folks. Since it was about her little sister and her reputation, I think, what Aaliya did was right - as an elder sister. Surraiya could have made the situation more worse --- better to hear ugliness from you own than others.
I think, the problem here is, we do not know the extend of Aaliya/Aayat relationship. We have never seen Aaliya parenting Aayat, so we cannot use any past examples for comparison.
