I have never been too fond of Nia as a person because some of her interviews contained topics and opinions which I didn't agree with. However, she did play the role of Manvi pretty well on-screen. I think that she would have needed to work a lot to come out of that bindass outgoing bubbly girl and change into the role of Aliya. Also, it might have been hard for the audience to accept her in the new avatar as well.

So, I feel that the production house made a good decision in choosing Preetika who is very natural on-screen and completely effortless. Also, it's easy to accept her in that character because she isn't carrying another character with her from the past.
