I Loved the scene selection, and if I erase BI from my mind I wouldn't be able to guess that the scenes actually were something entirely different.

You made the scenes your own. I hope am making sense to you. I am struggling to find words at the moment.

I loved the screenplay, and that song fit in aptly. Heard it after a long time, each beat of drum added to the drama, and the etched sadness in the voice reflected the intensity of Zain's emotions to the T.

I Loved the beginning soft on the eyes, as Zain looked on hurt, while Aliya cried. Her Qubool Hai. Did it prepare me for what's next? No.

Kyun yeh aankhein num hai moved me to no ends. That camera shift, things becoming a blur, it felt the peak of pain one could feel and soon after he collapses, Aliya's breath hitches as she calls out Zain in concern, and in that moment, before one can recover from the impact, the next scene takes the vm several notches up.

Pyaar tou nahin hou gaya, several daggers to my heart. Zain blinks as though she had hit home, and he in that moment realizes she had given word to that feeling. He leaves her hand, detaching himself from her...drawing back his hand, away from her.

Those moments in the FB as we see the various times Zain has been there for her, helped her, saved her, stepped towards her, as she stepped back. That dance bit. As he snuggles his face close to her, she stands unaffected looking beyond. She has kept things from him, walked away from him, leaving him clueless and hurt, not willing to share her heart or her mind. A feeling of melancholy settles in as these scenes play out. And then Back to present, Aliya watches with tears as an unconscious Zain lay in his bed.

This becomes my FAV ! This is the BEST work I have seen 👏

I have seen it over and over again and not gotten enough of it ! Stunning Nanz ! Absolutely stunningg !!! 🤗

I LOVE this emotion. It brings out so much more in a character. And it feels so real. Which emotion? You mean Zain & Aliya's? or how You felt during the VM?

I ought to add. You work on the lyrics so beautifully. I am blown away !

To state it simply Harshad and Preetika were acting for you. That's what I felt. For the scenes in your plot. You are very good at picking emotions. 👏
I wanted to make a VM this weekend and was listening to various songs. Jaane Tu was in my playlist by mistake, but when I was listening to the song, and the lyrics, I had a story of my own. I got images of Zain who has realised that he has started falling in love with Aliya. Even I dont know how to express in words the story that came to my mind. Suffice is to say atleast 80% of my imagination came out in the VM.
That is how ideas come. I remember JK Rowling saying she was on a train ride, when Harry came to him, the boy who lived. That's where she started.

80% is a success. 🤗

So all the dialogues and scene added, came secondary. I had no idea I was gonna use the "Talaaq" or "Pyaar tou nahi ho gaya" lines when I imagined it. It just happened. The only scene that was fixed before I started making was the kyun yeh aankhein num hai...I wanted to use the camera rotating scene there, because it was so beautifully shot and Harsh & Preeti's eyes, expressions were to the T. Rest all came on as the song went.
It tugged at my heart, I was overwhelmed with compassion.

And the rest of things, I think you got them all right. All the FBs are of how Zain and Aliya were trying to adapt to the wedding. Aliya's main confusion was Zain never brought it out in open on why he agreed to marry her and why he is acting as if their marriage started off with a scandal and issues. She does not know how to talk to him regarding this. Thats according to my story.
The reason behind Aliya's hesitancy and aloofness is not something we come across in the VM on face value, it's not explained, I feel it doesn't have to be either. This VM was Zain's side of story, it doesn't shed Aliya in a bad light. nfact you can do one on Aliya too when you feel inspired :)
@lyrics: Like I always say, Lyrics comes first. If they don't suit a couple as per their current track or if I can't make a story out of it on my own, its no Justice to the song or the couple.
I actually wanted to use the female version, would have been more good, but the lyrics were not in sync. It has the "friendship" coming in between. Somehow Zain and Aliya don't mingle well with very slow songs. If in future there are scenes that come close to fulfilling the female version, I might try. I took up a huge risk making such a sad/angry type VM with this song. But like you mentioned, this male version's voice and singing has too many emotions.
I agree with you on the lyrics. Some VM's are just Zaya scenes with music playing, I go like 'I am not here to listen to a song, give me a Zaya treat' (with no disrespect to anyone, VM-making is a tough job and an Art)

Your risk paid off. I Loved this VM, it's definitely one of my all-time fav's now.
