Why is Beintehaa Different is your question .* Keeps alive the muslim feel in the show through representing certain aspects of religion accurately. While other muslim shows hardly give me the feeling that characters are Muslim, Beintehaa does succeed in this aspect.
Criticism : failing in some aspects however understandable since they are not promoting a religion but rather they are experimenting with a new BG. So I don't really expect 100% accuracy on Islam, particularly when it's an Indian TV show. That accuracy is hard to find in Pakistani shows as well.
*Breaking the Stereotype: Events might be same, Groom demanding Dowry, Father getting a heart attack, but their portrayal is different. The way the incidents are handled is different, at the end they manage to convince you. And they address the viewers questions, for eg: Aliya stating if she married Zain, she would make true the accusations placed on her.
*Dislike not Hate. Zain-Aliya may say they hate each other. But hate is too strong a word, they have different outlooks on life and want different things from life, yet they respect each other. So it's a different chemistry. And thank god there is no anti hero here. No typical Saas, male characters missing in action sorts.
* Characterizations - Very real. Not Cliched.
*Amazing actors- Now I know amazing actors are in other shows too. But Harshad Preetika are new and they have hit it off for their talent in the very first week. So they are the best debut I would say.
