I know kidnapping a girl, executing a forced marriage by threatening, bullying, coaxing, abusing her and then trapping her in an eternal abusive relationship are quite known things in the region being portrayed in the series (in fact it happens in other regions as well). But on the other hand, it's as well a fact that these are indeed criminal offenses. Instead of glorifying them, the creatives should concentrate on portraying how to combat these social evils. If the creatives have not planned for a Priyom/Poonam love-story or marriage, I am absolutely okay with that. But portraying a girl as a shuttlecock and then forcefully marrying her off to a psychotic character, in the name of so called "love", is really disgusting. Would be better if after Poonam gets kidnapped by Lakhan, Priyom gets out of his confused & coward avatar and says a "NO" to the elders and then Poonam is being somehow liberated from Lakhan's clutches before her forced marriage with him. Later she should concentrate on her studies and future career only. bahut ho chuka yeh shaadi ka drama !!! They must concentrate on other important plots & characters.
I know it's a wishful thinking, but the creatives should show at least a single girl - Maya / Poonam / Guddi - becoming successful, self-sufficient and self-sustaining.
