New beginning

Bondita's state of mind

Usually when she has loads to read and write time would be at jetspeed.But today when she is waiting for the morning, it seems that the whole night is moving at a snail's pace.

She can clearly feel her heartbeat...She has always been proud of being called Bondita Anirudh choudary.He has always been her perfect mentor, parent, best friend and.......she doesn't know the exact day or moment she started accepting him as her better half.She is truly lucky....The whole world repeated it everytime...She knew it was true but she was unaware of the exact reason behind the whole society's rant...the circumstance that led to their marriage.

But one week back during an ugly confrontation between mini and anirudh,the long time secret of their marriage unfold infront of her.In an effort to shut down anirudh, mini spill the beans .Both hadn't seen bondita standing near the door.She was frozen for a few minutes...Her eyes grew red showing rebellion against mini but she couldnt meet her teary eyes with anirudh's.hence she left the room unspoken...

She had been deliberately avoiding him since then for almost a week.Whenever she sees him approaching her she ran away to the room.She knew that he deserved to elaborate but she had no courage to stand in front of him and meet her eyes with him. The whole RC mansion knew she was mute for days which was very unusual of the otherwise chirpy Bondita but nobody knew that tomorrow after a whole week of her silent investigation amidst her broken heart, she was going to announce something that nobody could even imagine...

"Finally I need to bring a closure to this torture...Nobody should ever dare to question him ,me and our relation ever...I can't no longer move ahead with this heavy burden" bondita immersed in her deep thoughts gradually fell asleep almost after being awake for a week.

Anirudh's state of mind

He had sleepless nights throughout these years. At the beginning it was due to his unexpected marriage with a kid. Later due to his fear of protecting that little bundle of joy from mini, then in a race to begin his career as a barrister and stand on his own after moving out of RC mansion to overcome his family's protest against bondita's education, then mentoring her with atmost love and care at the same time taking time for preparing his cases, taking care of her like a mother in her growing years, then lying awake whole night thinking of her exam results and so on. At last all his efforts got rewarded when Anirudh Roy choudary became one of the established lawyers in Kolkata, Bondita passed out with top rank from law university and RC members finally accepted her being law graduate.As he reconciled with his family, both shifted to RC mansion.

He has become deeply attached with bondita more than a mentor or best friend.He had realised that she was his true soulmate. ..She was the one who had all the qualities of his ideal woman that he wanted in mini years back but alas mini never grew from her self obsession even after all these years. He was not hiding the truth of their marriage out of any fear of loosing her but he had accepted long back that their marriage was the best thing happened in his life and the scenario was only a path created by Destiny to the final destination- Rudhita.

He was finally planning to take their marriage to the next level by confessing his love to his bondita but mini destroyed his dream out of the blue.All he could remember is mini shouting about the circumstance of the marriage and bondita standing at the door hurt.Before he could open his mouth she ran and closed their room.

He has been in endless efforts to get her glance and tell her everything but it was always a catch and miss scenerio. While he was just leading heartless moments,Bondita requested the whole family and even soudamini to summon tomorrow to announce something very important.He is truly scared if its the end of his life.He truly wishes this night never ends and the day never begins as if he knows something worse is awaiting him.

Saudamini's state of mind

She has been long waiting for creating distance between anirudh and bondita.She waited for the morning since she could imagine what was going to happen. She could never believe that her anirudh could leave her for a girl whom she considered can never have even a molecule of her sundartha. Eventhough she didn't expect bondita near the door last week, she now believes it's her kismat that worked in her favour to finally reunite her with the London pass out rich barrister Anirudh Roy choudary.At last she has a ray of hope to become the big haveli's bahu.

Awaited family summon (Morning)

Everyone is present there.Even Bihari was hiding behind the kitchen door expecting bahu rani's announcement.Binoy, somnath , Batuk ,Trilochan everyone are sitting clueless.Mini came running with a huge smile.Everyone was surprised to see her in the family summon but chose to ignore her.Anirudh reached there with a heavy heart but tried to put a fascade of smile on his face but this didn't go unnoticed by trilochan kaka.

After half an hour bondita reached there along with Shekhar basu one of the top lawyers in Kolkata, anirudh's colleague and her university professor. Everyone is now confused. What is she upto?

Bondita: "ji who main sir ko lene keliye gaadi bheja tha. Unki intezaar kar rahi th i...isliye.....ye shekhar sir.." (actually i had sent a car to pick sir. I was waiting for his arrival....so......this is shekhar sir)

Shekhar: "good morning....aaj ek bahut important baat keliye bondita ne mujhe invite kiya. ..woh mera best student hai aur anirudh mera dost hai toh main unhe mana nehi kar paya..."(good morning...today bondita has invited me to announce something very important....she is one of my best students and anirudh is my friend so I couldn't refuse her....)

Anirudh: "Namaste shekhar...aap baitiye....aur bataayiye kya important baat karni hai...." Now everything is going unexpected.(Namaste shekhar....please sit down and tell me what's the important matter....Now everything is going unexpected)

Bondita stood there and began as if she is leading a court case. ...may be her first case and the most important one -- it's about her.

Bondita: "sir baat shaayad 10 or 11 years pehale shuru huyi thi. Ek 8 saal ki bachi ko behosh karke zabardasti uski shaadi ek 60 saal ki buddhe se karvadiya.voh bhi uski maa ke marzi ke khilaf. (Sir the incident started maybe 10 or 11 years ago.An 8 year old child was intoxicated and forced to marry a 60 year old man that too against the permission of her mother)

Par kismat ki khel dekho. Woh Budda shadi ke mandap mai hi guzzar gaya aur pura samaj us ladki kaa sati karvana chaha.(but see the play of the Destiny.That old man passed away at the wedding stage itself and the entire society demanded to perform sati of that girl child)

Par bhagwaan ki tarah mehmaanomese ek bohot acha insaan jisne us shadi ko rokne ki koshish ki par kaamiyaab nahi huva...kamsekam us maasoom ki jaan Bachaane ke liye baal vivaah ke khilaf hote huve bhi uhone us bachi se vivaah ki."(but one of the guests, just like a God came forward to stop it but was unsuccessful in convincing them....so inorder to just save her life he married her going against his own disapproval to child marriages.)

Anirudh was appalled."Bondita ruko.....tum. ..."(bondita....you stop it....please)

"Nahi barrister babu....aaj main sab teek karna chaahtahu hamesha keliye"(No barrister babu ...today i want to recorrect and make everything fall in the right place forever)

bondita continued:" pura samaj un donoko pati patni bulaya ...us bachi se patni ka zimedaariya zabardasti karvane ki koshish ki par uski pati ne un sabke khilaaf awaas udaaya aur use ek bachi ki tarah paala. (The whole society called them husband and wife...and even forced to make her do all the responsibilities of a wife but her husband raised his voice against all odds and raised her like a child)

Samaj ke marsi ke khilaf use padaaya uski guru bana dost bana aur. ..." a tear fall down bondita's eyes.(educated her against the will of the society , became her mentor , became her friend and...) a tear fell off her eyes...

She silently wept for a few seconds. Anirudh's heart stopped beating for a few seconds.He wanted to embrace his bondita, wipe her tears and wanted to stop her from torturing each other with her sharp words but being conscious of others around ,he sit back.

Mini was dancing in her heart....finally......Her dream is coming true.

Shekhar: " are u okay?"

Bondita :" yes sir.I'm perfectly fine."

Other family members were like what is this leading to.

Bondita :" hamesha yahi sunte aa rahi hu. ...Bondita ko bachakar anirudh apni zindagi barbaad kardi....is Baal vivaah ki bhoj abh aur nahi dena chahti hun ...unhe is bhoj se mukt karna chahti hun." (I have always came around hearing that ....anirudh destroyed his life by saving bondita...I don't want him to carry the burden of this child marriage anymore...I want to free him from this burden forever...)

Anirudh:"stop it bondita.enough......bahut huvgaya ....don't u even know what you are saying?"(stop it bondita....enough....it's enough ....don't you even know what are you saying?)

Shekhar: " anirudh.....I think there is no wrong in this.aap bhi jaanti hu na ab kaanoon baal vivaah ko rokne ki koshoshome hai"(anirudh...I think there is nothing wrong in this.you also know that now law is making efforts to ban child marriages)

Anirudh:"I know shekhar....Par ab hum dono hamare rishte ko....."( i know shekhar....but now we too are trying to make our relationship)

Bondita interrupted before anirudh completes:"main khud is rishte se mukti chahti hu. ...."(I myself need freedom from this relationship)

Trilochan:" bahu...."everyone stood in shock

Soudamini:" ishhhh.....isi pal ki intezaar thi mujhe. ...haye...ye sapna toh nahi mini?"She pinched herself to reassure.(ishhhh...I have been long awaiting this moment....wow....isn't this some dream)

Anirudh unable to hear more from bondita: " agar tumhareliye is rishta ek bhoj hai.....tumhe pura haq hai isse chutkara pane ka. ....main tumhe kabhi nahi rokunga....." saying this anirudh began leaving but bondita stopped him:" I haven't completed yet anirudh babu."(if this relationship is now a burden to you ....you have all right to be free from it..I won't stop you ever....saying this anirudh began leaving but bondita stopped him: I haven't completed yet anirudh babu

Bondita to shekhar:" sir hamare is rishta legal nahi hai right? (Sir, our marriage isn't legal right)

Shekhar:"yes, why shouldn't you know?"

Bondita: " ek bachi nahi hu main ...ek aurat hun. .toh mujhe apni khud ki marzi ka jeevan sathi chunne ka pura adhikar chahiye aapse anirudh babu aap mera guardian jo hai"(I'm not a child...I'm a woman now...so I need the right to choose life partner of my choice with your consent anirudh babu....afterall you are my guardian..)

Anirudh stood there with tears but wearing a fake smile: " i wholeheartedly give u that right"

Binoy:" dekha.....anirudh yaad hai tume maine kya kaha tha. ..ek din is ladki tume chodkar jaayega....." (see anirudh....do you remember what I said once....one day this girl will leave you behind)

Bondita giving no attention to her just for a title sasur: " Aaj bondita das ,jo ek padi likhi aurat hai, jo apne pure hosh main, apni kudki marzi se aapse jaanaa chahti hun ki kya aap ,bina koi zabardasti, apne khud ki marzi se , naam ki reeti rivaj ke saat nahi balki dil se,sacha pyar se mera jeevan sathi ban sakte ho? "(today bondita das, who is a well educated woman , who is in her complete consiousness, out of her own will what to know from you ,without any pressure , with your own will, without any rituals of namesake,if you will be my husband only out of your love and consent)

Anirudh left dumbstruck.For the past few minutes, he has been bearing shocking turn of events one after the other.Binoy's expressions were like he has been seeing the biggest drama ever.

Bondita: " when I heard both of you that day, I couldn't think rationally for sometime.Par kuch samay akele sochne ke baad poora sach jaanaa tha. Bas ek din me woh mumkin nahi tha. (When I heard both of you that day,I couldn't think rationally for sometime.after thinking for sometime alone I realised that I need to find the truth but this was not possible within a day)

Sampoorna didi se shadi ka sach patha lagaaya. Kuch samay socha ki aap sach main pari didi se abhi bhi pyar karthe honge. Par hum dono ki saal bhar ka moments sach toh hai.You only have taught me to analyse even minute details in every situations.( I came to know the whole truth about our marriage from sampoorna didi.Initially I even thought you still love pati didi but each and every moments in our life is also true...you only have taught me to analyse even minute details in every situations)

Pari didi sach bola us din aapse.Baki pati patniyo ki tarah nahi he hum. ...kyuki hum dono ka rishta sirf samaj ki wajah se banahuvaa rishta nahi hain. Izat aur dosti hain hamari rishte ka aadhaar.isliye main chahti hu ki baal vivaah naam ka deewar ab hum dono ke beech nahi rahega.(what pari didi told you that day is only truth.we are not like other ordinary couples...because our relationship is not made out by the society...respect and friendship is the base of our relationship.therefore I don't need this child marriage to stand as a barrier between us anymore.)

Zindagi bhar apni marzi se hum ek honge....will you be my partner forever"....Bondita forwarded her hand with broad smile and teary eyes.She is finally satisfied after pouring her heart out in front of the whole family....(Now we will unite out of our will forever....will you be my partner forever...)

Anirudh just heard the sweetest words of his life."Main anirudh Roy choudary ye kehna chaahta hun ki sirf is baar nahi par is puri zindagi main sirf aur sirf bondita se shadi kar sakthi hun. ..."(I anirudh roy choudary wants to tell you that not only this time but for my entire life I can only marry you)

He couldn't believe that he is smiling like an idiot that too after a whole week of mental torture.how could he think so many horrible things this whole time.....

Everyone became happy except binoy and soudamini.

Shekhar:" bondita aap dono reeti rivaj ke anusaar pati patni ho but this is not legal according to the law now.....in the coming time we hope to make this more strict but still agar aap dono court marriage ab register karenge toh ye har ek youth keliye apni jeevan sathi chunne ka ek inspiration hoga....so without wasting time....aap dono form sign kijiye...."saying this shekhar forwarded the documents...

(Bonfita..you too are husband and wife according to the rituals but this is not legal according to the law now....in the coming time we hope to make this more strict but still if you two register for court marriage now it will be an inspiration for the entire youth to choose their own life partners.....so without wasting time...both of you please sign the form...saying this shekhar forwarded the documents....

Only then anirudh and others understood true intention behind his visit on bondita's request.Anirudh was totally impressed and shocked of his lady's moves.

After signing it bondita came near soudamini who was mute and numb:" pari didi aapko main abhi bhi yahi naam isliye bulaarahi hun kyuki meri guru mujhe har kisise pyar se aur izat se baat karna sikhaaya hai.You always say you know him from childhood.teek kaha aapne lekin aap ye bhool gayi ki main unhe apni bachpan se jaanti hun. Agar anirudh bondita ko Samajthi hain toh bondita bhi apni anirudh babu koh samajthi hai. Unke aakho mein kahi baar pyar mehsoos kiya hai. Par har baar accept karne ki himmat nahi thi. But I will be thankful to you lifelong.sirf apki wajah se aaj himmat se is decision liya maine....humareliye.....Now you need not worry for him anymore....otherwise jis muh se aapko izat se pari didi bulaya please don't force me to call....".Bondita stopped when anirudh touched her hands.Anirudh was full of tears of joy that he forgot even mini and his family. ( pari didi I'm still calling you with this name because my teacher has taught me to speak to anyone with love and respect.You always say you know him from childhood.what you said is absolutely right but you completely forgot that I know him right from my childhood.if anirudh knows me similarly bondita also knows her anirudh babu very well.I have felt love in his eyes many times but I never had the courage to accept it.but I will be thankful to you lifelong. I took this long pending and bold decision of my life ,our life only because of you...now you need not worry for him anymore....instead of calling you pati didi don't force me to call you.....bondita stopped when anirudh touched her hands .he was full of tears that he forgot even mini and his family)

Soudamini:" I still have his letter about your......"

Bondita:" it might be with you since a long time which is true....but do you have his heartful words that he wrote for his bondita a few weeks ago.....

Unka diary hai mere paas jo mujhe kal Mila tha. ...Par I need to remind you onething directly....anirudh ka pyar mehsoos karnekeliye ek letter ya kuch aur evidence ki zaroorat nahi hai mujhe....ek barrister hun....but always a better human and wife first and then a lawyer"

(I have his diary with me which I got yesterday....but I need to remind you one thing directly.....i don't need any letter or evidence to feel his love to me....I'm a lawyer .....but always a better human and wife first and then a lawyer)

Hence rudhita entered New phase of their life that too with their new way of court marriage at that time.....
