Amar and Divya stand there shocked.

Amar: Meri shaadi ta hogai hai? Woh kaise?

Rajeev: Beta bato hum samjate hai tume. Rajeev seats Amar and Divya sits with him. Chandra and Rajeev began telling him the story of Sagar and Vidya fixed his marriage with Javed and Narmeen's daughter.

Chandra: Beta tumhare papa ki akhri kwaish ye hi ti ke tum Javed ki beti se shaadi karlo. Divya sits their thinking. Raj notices.

Raj: Divya tum kya soch ri ho? Divya comes out of her thought.

Divya: Woh kuch nahi bas muhje yaad aya ke mere papa ka bi naam Javed tah.

Chandra: Aur tumhari maa?

Divya: Pata nahi. Muhje kabi pata nai tah.

Chandra: Well beta I am sorry leken Amar ko apni maa baap ki akhri kwaish poori karni hogi ya phir karni chaiye.

Amar: Ye Javed uncle aur Narmeen Aunty hai kidar.

Rajeev: Narmeen ki death ke bad tumhare papa aur mama yahan aye te tume le kar. Tum chote te. Leken usi waqt Javed ki bi death hogai. Aur uske bad un hone nahi unki beti ko deka aur nahi uske bare mein jan paya.

Chandra: Leken ye maloom zaroor hai ke who yahan par hi rehti hai aur who bi is hi shahar mein.

Rajeev: Beta apni maa baap ki akhri kwaish poori nai karoge? Amar looked down thinking. With an angry look on his face he left. Divya tried to stop him.

Divya: Amar! Amar ignored her. She looked at Chandra and Rajeev.

Divya: Aap fikar na Karen. Mein Amar ko samaj doongi. Divya also leaves as Amar was waiting in the car for her. She sat down and neither one spoke for the ride home. Once they reached home Amar parked the car in the driveway and ran into his house. Divya followed him. Amar stood in the living room facing his back to her.

Divya: Amar? Amar ran upstairs and Divya ran after him. He locked himself in his room. Divya knocked on his door many times trying to open the door but it wouldn't work. He didn't open it. Divya went to her room and began thinking as Amar was thinking in his room. As Divya was thinking she kept twisting her ring on her finger. Eventuallty it slipped off and fell to the ground. That took Divya out of her thoughts. She reached down and picked up the ring. She looked at it her for sometime. Then she put it on her finger and walked out of her room. When she walked out she noticed Amar's room's door was open. She ran in but only found Amar's coat. She looked around but he was nowhere to be found. She ran out of the room and looked all over the house but still didn't find him. She then saw the front door open a bit. She slowly walked towards it and opened it fully too find Amar sitting on the porch. She walked towards him and sat down next to him. She placed her hand on Amar's shoulder and he looked at her.

Divya: Tum jante ho tume kya karna chaiye? Amar took her hand off his shoulder and held it in both his hands.

Amar: Leken Divya… Mein tumse pyar karta hoon aur kaun jane ke who bi muhje kabool karegi.

Divya: Who bi tumhare intazar mein bati hogi. Use bi is rishte ke bare mein pataya hoga.

Amar: Leken Divya…

Divya: Amar mere apne maa baap toh nai hai leken mein kisi aur ke maa baap ke fasle ke khilaf nai ja sakti. Who bi uske jise se mein bohut pyar karti hoon. Amar looked at her. He knew what she was saying was right. Indicating that he was going through with all this he puts his head down. Amar was still holding her hand but Divya let go. He looked at her.

Divya: Mein ja ri hoon. She said it with confidence not looking at him.

Amar: Kidar aur kyun?

Divya: Apne ghar aur isle kyunki ab tumhare aur mere raste alag hochoo ke hai. Amar looked down. Divya looked at her finger. She painfully slid the ring off and held it infront of Amar.

Divya: Ye tum use pandena. Amar pushed her hand back.

Amar: Mein ye ring use nai desakta.

Divya: Kyun?

Amar: Ring ke neeche deko. Divya looked at the bottom of the ring. She was shocked. It had I love you engraved in it. Tears began falling down her eyes along with Amar. The song hum toh dil se hare from josh plays.

Teri yaad mein pagal pal pal rota hain (Divya stands up and Amar looks at her)

Bin tere na jaage yeh na sota hain
Aksar tanhaai mein tujhe pukaare (Amar's tears emerge while Divya looks at him)

Na zor dil pe chale
Haare haare haare, hum to dil se haare (With her eyes deep in his she cries)

Teri yaad mein pagal pal pal rota hain
Bin tere na jaage yeh na sota hain (She slowly enters the house)

Aksar tanhaai mein tujhe pukaare
Na zor dil pe chale (She begins walking up the steps remembering every moment with Amar)

Haare haare haare, hum to dil se haare

Ab jaane hum yeh pyaar kya hai (She enters her room and begins packing)

Dard-e-jigar mushkil badaa hai
Suntaa nahin kehna koi bhi (She comes across the saree Amar bought her)

Dil bekhabar zid pe adaa hai
Samjhaaoon kaise isse jaane jaan (She holds the saree to her heart and cries)

Haare haare haare, hum to dil se haare (She feels a hand on her shoulder)
Har aaina toota lage hain
Sach bhi hume jhoota lage hain (She turns and sees Amar)
Jaane kahan hum aagaye hain
Saara jahan rootha lage hain (They look into each other's eyes searcing for their love)
Kya dard dil ne diya, kya kahe
Haare haare haare, hum to dil se haare (They quickly embrace)

Bin tere na jaage yeh na sota hain (Divya cries in his chest as Amar cries holding her)

Na zor dil pe chale (Divya let's go and walks out)

Divya walks down the steps slowly holding her suitcase. She remembers the first time she came here with her suitcase. She reaches the middle of the living room and stops. She sets the suitcase down and takes a deep breath turning around. Amar was standing right behind her. He moves up and holds her face. He kisses her forehead and then both her cheeks. Divya's tears increase. She kisses Amar on his forehead too. She then holds her suitcase and turns around walking out. Once again some vibe forces her to turn around. When she does she sees Amar on his knees with his arms extended out indicating her to come back. She drops her suitcase and runs back falling on her knees into his arms. They hug once again. Divya then forcefully pulls away. She runs towards her suticase and picks it up. She extends her hand to the door knob.

Amar: Divya… His voice kissed her heart.

Amar: Mein tumhe chor aaon? Divya's heart began melting. Her hand sort of moved away from the door knob but then she finally grabbed it.

Divya: Nahi… Piercing his heart.

Divya: Aaj se mere tumhare raaste alag. She said that and left. When the door closed both their worlds felt as if they had ended.

Next Day: Divya was in the prinicpal's office. He had some news to telll her. Divya was waiting patitenly for the prinicpal to come. Just then the door opened and a gust of wind flew chills down Divya. She turned around and there stood the prinicipal but someone else was behind him. When the principal walked in that someone was… Amar. She quickly turned around closing her eyes tight clenching her fist. The priniciapl sat down.

Prinicipal: Come in Amar.

Amar: Yes sir. He closed the door and sat next to Divya. Neither one making eye contact.

Princiapl: Well I have some good news for you. Amar Ms.Smith probably already told you but I must fulfull the fomailty. You see both of students have fulfilled the requirements of four years of college within three years. And now since this semester is ending tomorrow you have a choice. You can either graduate with your degree tomorrow or continue college. This degree will be the same extact degree you would have received a year from now. So the choice is yours. Graduate or stay. Amar and Divya both begin thinking.

At the same time without realizing it both say: Graduate. They immdetiely look at each other. Eye to eye. Tear to tear. Heart to heart.
