"Divya... tum nahin samjho ge. Bas thodi der ke liye intezaar karna; jahaan pe main tumhe lekar jaa raha hoon, wahin pe jawaab milegi. So just wait, please..." Sagar stopped, short of his words, and kept walking, pulling Divya gently beside him.
She sighed, hoping their destination would be clear.

They sat on top of a hill, gazing at the clouds above them... the clouds were bright, yet it seemed as if the rest of the sky was darker... but that didn't matter at the moment; there were more pressing matters to be cleared.
"So... yehin pe... aap mujhe...?"
"Haan."
Divya paused, waiting for Sagar to go on.
"Pata nahin, Divya... lekhin aap mein... kuch hain."
"Kya hain?"
"You must be wondering, why I wanted to meet you? Well, to tell you the truth, I'm not quite so sure myself, either. I can't even begin to tell you, really... tumse milne se pehle, kya guzar raha tha... mujhe laga ki sab kuch kho chuka hoon main.. that there was nothing in my life that mattered --"
Divya gasped.
"Kya hua?"
She wanted to tell him, as openly as possible, that she was feeling the same, exact way... that life was meaningless, that nothing had even a remote amount of enjoyment anymore. That after meeting him, things had changed... for better or worse though, she did not know.
"I just wanted to say... that I was feeling the exact same way."
Sagar looked up at her, his eyes glistening.
"Jaanta hoon."
"Kaise?"
He shook his head, and continued.
"I knew... that after I first met you, there was some kind of a connection. I knew that we had never met before, yet there was a feeling inside... almost like I had to see you more. I didn't know whether I should have or not, but when I first took you away from the park... I decided to take the risk anyway."
Divya just stared him, unsure of what to say. They were so similar... yet she wasn't sure if she could feel the same way about having a connection with Sagar. Surely, something intangible sparked between them, yet she couldn't quite figure out what that was.
Tears filled his eyes. "That's why... I've come to meet you after that. I want to find out what this connection is, and why it matters to me so much. I want to know... if you feel the same way." He whispered the last part, tear drops now falling quietly from his eyes.
Divya hesitated. "Mujhe bhi.. kuch toh lagti hoon. Lekhin --"
"What?"
"I don't know," she whispered softly, afraid.
His eyes suddenly looked angry, intense, yet the tears continued to swell inside of them.
"You don't know?", he whispered again, anger seething out of his every word.
Divya shook her head, tears also beginning to fall out of her eyes now.
Sagar got up abruptly and took her hand without saying another word, breathing heavily, the same anger in his face, and dragged her back harshly, walking at an impossibly faster pace than normal.
Divya, not quite fully aware of what was going on, continued to stare down at the ground, tears falling down her cheeks and dropping onto the grass. She had a feeling she knew where they were going... but there was no point in saying anything now; in fact, she couldn't say anything at all.
They reached the park once again, and Sagar let go of her hand quickly, taking a few steps behind and turning around, his back faced toward her.
"Kal phir milenge."
And he left without another word, leaving Divya and her tears to fall freely now onto the grass.
