Part 31

"Sharad? What are you thinking about so intensely?" Neha asks him.

Sharad snaps out of his thoughts, and looks at Neha, a certain sparkle catching his eye. He holds her delicate hand into his. "This bracelet is gorgeous."

"And this is what you were thinking about?" Neha asks, unbelievably.

"Can I see it?" He asks her, ignoring her question.

She just nods still confused. She slips it off her wrist and he holds it in his hand, as it comes closer to his nose, the pulling scent that he's smelt for so long, comes back to him.

"This is it! It's their scent! I've finally found it! The girl's Neha!" Sharad turns to Neha and smiles wider. "Where exactly did you get this bracelet?"

"Well Rushvi thought it went really well with my outfit and so she gave it to me for today." Neha explains.

"So it's Rushvi's?" He asks her.

Neha shakes her head. "She found it in Maya's jewellery box."

"Meaning Maya's the girl with the scent that I've being looking for!" Sharad smiles.

"Why are you so happy though?" Neha asks. "I'm not sure I want to be with him anymore, he's really creeping me out!"

"I think, it's finally time to tell her. I need to take her to a secluded place." Sharad silently takes her hand and leads her outside to a private bench surrounded by trees.

"Sharad, why did you bring me here?" Neha asks.

"I need to confess something to you, as long as you promise not to mention anything to anyone without my consent!" Sharad tells her.

"I promise." Neha says slowly. "What is he going to confess to me? That he's a total lunatic? Or that he's some sort of vampire?"

"You're right." Sharad says.

"I'm right?" Neha asks confused.

"Your thoughts? What you were just thinking? That I'm a vampire. It's right." He says to her casually.

"What?" Neha just asks, her eyes dilating.

"Haven't you ever wondered why I always seem to know what any of you humans are thinking? Who am I kidding? You've thought about it plenty of times. And well the lack of appetite points it out too." Sharad smiles weakly.

"Surprisingly, this all makes perfect sense." Neha continues to stare at him in disbelief.

"Of course it makes sense, it's the total truth." Sharad says in response to her.

"How'd—how do you do it?" She asks.

"It's one of the gifts I got, when I was turned into this." He admits. "Hearing people's thoughts. It DOES come in handy at times, but usually it doesn't."

"Is Rashmi—one as—well?" Neha asks.

Sharad nods. "She can read minds as well as see certain things in the future." He tells her.

"Oh wow. It must be so hard living like that?" Neha comments.

"You're thinking about how I live, rather than the fact that I could kill you right now?" Sharad asks.

"I don't think you'd kill any of us, me or my friends." Neha says.

"What makes you think that?" He asks.

"If you were going to, you'd have done it before, unless you were waiting for something." She analyzes.

"I was." He admits.

"This bracelet?" she asks.

"In one sense yes. The day you all came to our school, I could smell this totally irresistible scent, and so I had to find out who it was coming from—"

"Which is why you befriended all of us that day?" She asks.

He nods. "But for some reason that scent was coming from each of you, and so I couldn't think of how I could better examine it. Which is why I came up with this stupid bachelor idea, but then by declining the date, Nishi, Simran and Maya made it difficult for me, but I thought I'd deal with those three later, but now that you told me about this bracelet from Maya, I figure she's the one for me." Sharad says.

"The one for you? How do you figure that? And even if she was the one for you, what makes you think she'll think that about you? What if she found someone else?" Neha asks.

"You're smart, not thinking inside your head anymore, makes it easier to converse." He winks. "Well, I can easily dazzle any girl that I need to." Sharad gets up and walks to his car.

"She has found someone else though, and she's with him right now." Neha says, standing up and following him.

"Rahul right? Rashmi told me about him." Sharad says as he opens his door, and Neha opens hers.

"What else did she tell you?" Neha asks, suddenly conscious.

Sharad turns to her and smiles. "She told me all about Aditya, if that's what you're angling at."

Neha turns a bit red, and looks down. "How could you be so sure it's Maya's scent? It could very well be the person's who she bought it from?"

Sharad starts driving. "We'll see about all that soon enough won't we?"

"I guess we will." Neha agrees.

At the Editing Studio

Raj, Rohit, Rahul, Simran, Shaili, and Maya are gathered around a table and are just chatting right when Sharad and Neha come there.

"What are you guys doing here?" Shaili asks.

"Don't you guys have a date?" Maya asks.

"We did, but um....he needs to talk to you." Neha says, signalling to Maya. "Remember Sharad, I've got my eye on you!"

Sharad looks at Neha, hearing her thoughts and smiles.

"O—kay." She gets up and walks towards Sharad, as Rahul looks on, disheartened.

"Why'd you need to talk to me?" Maya asks, as they both sit down on the opposite side of the room.

"Where'd you get this bracelet that Neha was wearing?" Sharad asks, taking the bracelet out of his pocket.

Maya takes it in her hands. "It looks familiar. Did she say where she got it from?"

"She said Rushvi took it out of your jewellery box and gave it to her to wear." Sharad tells her.

"Hmm...I can't seem to put my finger on it right now. But I'll tell you later okay?" Maya says, about to stand up.

Sharad holds onto her hand and keeps her sitting. Neha sees this and walks over to where they are, having everyone else follow her.

"Sharad, this charade has gone on far too long, how about you tell everyone everything now? Or else—"
"else what?" he asks.

"I'll tell them." Neha smirks.

Not too good, but I hope it was at least a little exciting? Please do leave comments!

It reached climax already...so you are tying loose ends....and ending it...😭

It was intense Meera. Like how Sharad confessed everything to Neha and how everybody is going to know...

Maya is mysterious. You didn't tell us how her apparant date went with Rahul..so we really don't know what she is thinking about Sharad, can't say if she is the one Sharad is looking for...its sooo interesting...

Hmm...I wonder if Maya met the real Bella sometime before and she gave her the bracelet? Sharad sharad sharad, what to do about you? All along, the smell was from a bracelet and poor guy had to go from "all girls like me" to "NOT one girl likes me"😆 AWESOME part hun!!👏

I don't want this to end now 😭
