Hello all, I am having loads of fun back home..playing almost 24/7 with my 10 nephews and nieces. But the sad thing is I missed most of the episodes of Dulhann...I miss SV so much...I was stuck in traffic and thought of updating my FF...As you can see this all about kids ...may be a lil boring....but this is all I could think of at this moment!!😆

Part Seven

Next morning Saagar woke up first. He was mesmerized seeing his sleeping beauty lying next to him. He was smiling to himself remembering the wonderful moments from last night. Vidya's sindoor was smeared all over her forehead and her face. He kept on staring at her dreamy face. The reddish hue reminded him of the setting sun in the Ganga in Banaras. A strand of hair was over her face. He gently pushed the boisterous strand behind her left ear. Her long shiny hair lay flat over her pillow. He tenderly raised a lock of hair, kissed it and softly put it back. Vidya is deep in sleep but there is hint of smile in her lips. He softly kissed her forehead and hid his nose in her open lustrous hair and inhaled its sweet smell. Vidya opened her eyes at that very moment with a wider smile gleaming her face. She was also thinking about Saagar's craziness from last night. She turned to her left wanting to see Saagar and let out a small squeal of pain as her hair got pulled. Saagar sat up hurriedly. "Oh! I am sorry Vidya, jeyada lagi to nehi?" Vidya forgot all her pain and started laughing freakishly. Surprised Saagar asked "kya hua, why are you laughing?"

At that moment there were several impatient bangs on the door and Sameer's and Bharat's anxious voices called from the otherside, "Mommy, please uthiye na! Did you forget about the costume party at my school today? Bharat joined in "its already 9 and the party starts at 10:30." A cry of "Daddy!! Mr. Ocean!! Mamee!! Mommy!!" followed by a series of bangs on the door.

Vidya rushed to open the door. Saagar followed her. She wakes up at dawn everyday and today she was awfully late. Moreover she planned yesterday to wake to up early and prepare costumes for Bharat, Sameer and herself for the school party. The parents also have to dress up in this occasion. As soon as she opened the door, Sameer burst in leading the gang of Chinu, Shalu and Bharat.

Sameer let out a cry seeing them! "Mommy, what is this? You and daddy have already put on your makeup? Are we going to dress up as Native Americans (red-Indians)? Why did daddy and you paint your faces in red?" Saagar turned to his right and saw his reflection in the mirror. He had sindoor all over his face and in his white kurta! Chinu intervened with a wide wide grin in his face, "dadda red-Indians don't randomly color their faces, they usually paint with stripes, circles and dots in blue, yellow, red, black and white. Yeh makeup to chalega nehi." Vidya and Saagar both blushed and turned as red as tomatoes.

Chinu saved them from further embarrassment and took everybody out saying, "dada and bhabi, app taiyar hoke downstairs aiyeh, we'll figure something out". Vidya and Saagar looked at each other as they left and both burst out laughing!

They both freshened up quickly and went downstairs for breakfast.

They found everybody waiting and looking worried. Where will they find costumes in such a short time!! Vidya and Saagar hurried to the breakfast table and ate a little. Vidya couldn't even eat seeing the anxious faces of Bharat and Sameer. Suddenly a thought occurred to her. She remembered the drama they enacted for the family when Saagar was ill. They played Ramayan and all the costumes were stored somewhere in the store room. She told everybody about this. Everybody looked relieved. Bharat and Sameer got really excited. They rushed and got those dresses out. Bharat dressed up a Ravan, Sameer as Laxman, and Vidya as Sita. They looked at Saagar. Both Sameer and Bharat pleaded Saagar to tag along with them as Ram. Saagar while help dressing Bharat and Sameer also got excited but he did have an important meeting to attend to. He asked Chinu to dress up as Ram. But Chinu had to take Shalu to a doctor, so he wouldn't be able to go and also the party is for kids in school and their parents only. Aniket is bed ridden, so he can't make it either. Sindura already left for office because of that important meeting. So their Ramayan had a Ram missing! Vidya consoled them saying that they look adorable and they need to hurry to make it on time. So Sameer and Bharat hugged Saagar and Chinu and left for the car. Vidya looking divine as Sita bid farewell to Saagar and Chinu and left as well.

At the school ground it felt like a carnival with all the children and their parents dressed up as Indian or western famous characters. A lot of superman, spiderman, catwoman, Harry Potter, wizards and witches, fairies were seen wondering around! There was one Mahatma Gandhi as well. Everybody was having so much fun and the noise was deafening. They had to pick a paper at the entrance of the school ground from a rolling ball full of small folded papers. The teacher who was standing there, told them they will find a number in their paper. There is a surprise and if they are lucky their number will be picked! Their number was 19*. Our Ramayan team met the principle and teachers of the school. Bharat and Sameer met with their friends and Vidya talked with some parents and teachers.

Suddenly the principal came on stage, talked about the party, thanked the organizers. And then she said she will call some numbers and the number holder gets to come on stage and play his/her role. The Mahatma Gandhi standing next to Sameer told him, if he is called he will say something from lage raho munna bhai. Bharat came running to Vidya, "mamee what if we are called? What will we say?" Vidya assured them, "don't worry. Both Sameer and you have heard the story of Ram and Sita from me so many times, we sing prayer songs everyday from Ramayan. We can easily sing a song together." Sameer and Bharat both remembered the story and the song so well, they weren't scared at all. On the contrary they were praying to Shambhunath so that 19 is picked!

And guess what? Their prayers were answered. 19 was the first number picked. The little group proceeded towards the stage. When they got on stage, the principal smiled and told them they look great but where is their Ram? Vidya was about to say something. Someone at the back yelled "main yeha hu" and waded through the crowd and ran up to the stage! The whole Ramayan gang, especially Vidya was sooo surprised to see Saagar, all dressed up as Ram! Saagar brought his guiter too! The modern Ram and his gang sang a vakti song. The audience applauded their commendable performance. Their clapping wouldn't stop!! They got off stage as a new number is called and some one dressed up as Harry Potter came on stage for the next performance.

Vidya asked Saagar what made him change his mind. The happiest Ram of Kal Yug replied, "when you guys left, I went upstairs to get ready for that meeting but felt that Ramayan gang is incomplete without Ram, I felt I was letting my family down! I wanted to be with you and share the excitement of Sameer and Bharat. I called di and requested her to deal with the delegates. I even took the day off to celebrate year ending party for our kids! Thik kiya na?"

Vidya felt really content. She smiled and her happiness sparkled in her eyes. As they were walking towards the exit holding each others' hand, both Vidya and Saagar felt like real parents. They smiled at each other. Sameer wanted to have ice-cream. Bharat too. They had some. Then Vidya said they should have Chinese for lunch and they went Saagar's favorite restaurant "Chings".

Everybody at the restaurant was staring at them but they were completely oblivious. The kids were busy counting the number of shrimps in their tom yum soup. Saagar whispered in Vidya's ears, "Vidya, it was great day. Don't you think so?" Vidya nodded, "such main, the kids had so much fun. Thank you for coming. We were incomplete without you. You can't even imagine how delighted I was when I saw you!" Saagar said to her, "you know when I was helping Sameer and Bharat with their costumes this morning; I felt I remembered the excitement when we enacted Ramayan in front of the family! I so wanted to tag along with you guys!! Even though I really don't remember anything about that time but today I understood how fun it was being with you, and playing with Sameer and Bharat as a kid! Thanks Vidya!!" Vidya gave her gorgeous smile and said "I deeply cherish those memories, those were truly the best days of my life."

Saagar exclaimed "really? Do you wanna bring those days back again?" Looking at Vidya's surprised expression, he smiled his famous naughty smile and said, "with two kids we had this much fun today, think how fun it'll be when we really have our cricket team!!" Vidya with her mock anger said "app bilkul pagaal hain, pahle se jayada". Saagar laughed out loud and continued "bilkul thik kaha Vidya, tab main baccha pagal tha, abb bara pagal hu, and this pagal is adamant about the cricket team!!" Vidya stared laughing as well and said "app sudhrenge nahi"……….

*19 is not a random number. Guess whose birthday is Jan 9^th? J

Woww.....tht was sooooo good...and who says ur hindi is bad? did u find some other teacher or wht? mera kya hoga ab? hehehe....and him dressing up as Ram reminded me of tht epi...where he dressed up as Ram to cheer vidya up...did u get a chance to see tht? oh he looked soooooooo good....(im so besharam...callin Ram good looking...lekin wht to do all sharad's fault...hehe) anyways...amazinggggg part...come back soon! and update more...😊

Dearest Shaili..I miss you too...miss SV and the forum and all the discussions..

dulhann is aired at 6pm in Bangladesh and the repeat is at 8:30 in the morning! I have missed almost all the episodes..😭

I will watch them online when I get back!!

I hope you are well...This part of the FF is not good...but it was bugging me and I wrote it with tons of typos...next time you have to correct!!
