vidya has always been meek & soft spoken. all her life she has been bullied by her chacha, chachi & shalu. if you were bullied your whole life like vidya, i bet you won't be able to speak out against any injustice either.

and vidya doesn't speak for herself, she'd rather speak up for her husband. in fact vidya has defended her husband more than herself. she can actually defend herself or any others for the matter, it's just that she doesn't want to lower the respect that she has for other elder people.

we have to think from her point of view. i think it's not right to call it stupidity. it's just the way vidya has been brought up.

and about the whole auntyji matter, you didn't specify that you were talking about her hair only. how are we supposed to know what you were specifically talking about? it looked a general vague statement which is why i and the rest spoke up in vidya's defence. we have nothing against you.

indian serials do go over the top sometimes but they also depict very real situations. so it depends on which way we want to take them. i prefer to take them in a positive light.
