*Saagar's point of view in the beginning. There's no song that goes with this part but I added a small poetry, which isn't that great so I apologize in advance for my sad attempt at poetry.*
Her touch had been tenative, gentle, and yet he felt a tingling sense course through him. It was the same feeling that plagued him whenever he was in Vidya's company.
Instinctively he placed his hand on her waist, as he pulled her towards the dancing floor, closer to him.
Why had he asked her to dance? He stares at her intently as she hesistantly gazes at him, her eyes mirroring the question on his mind. He didn't know the answer anymore than she did.
Tumhaari aakhon se jo milli humaari nazar,
Is dil pe kar jaaye kuch aisa asar.
Na jaane kaisi ajeeb aahat hai teri,
Is dil ko de jaaye kuch aisi bechaini.
As Vidya averted her gaze then closed her eyes, Saagar continued to stare at her trying to search his mind for a small memory, anything that placed her with him. anything that would explain his current state of emotions.
Hain in yaadon se anjaan, tumhaara chehraa,
Phir kyu hai tumhaara ehsaas itna gehraa.
Frustrated in his mind, he watched as a single tear meandered its way down Vidya's cheek. He resisted the urge to reach down and a wipe it away. Instead he took her hands in his, intertwining his fingers in hers before placing them around his shoulder. He then proceeded to wrap his arms around her protectively pulling her closer to him.
Saagar knew that the reason for her tears was him, but he couldn't help it. He couldn't spend his life with someone he barely knew. Someone whose lifestyle, he had no doubt, would clash with his.
Vidya gingerly placed her forehead against his shoulder, barely touching him, but yet he could sense her tears. He tightened his arms around her and she buried her face in his chest. He could now feel her tears against his skin, as she cried into his shirt.
Saagar felt his heart constrict, a lump forming in his throat. He closed his eye surprised to find that his own eyes were moist.
Udaasi tumhari mere mann ko kyu choo jaati hai,
Ashq tumhaare, is dil ko kyu rulate hai,
Hain in yaadon se anjaan, tumhaara chehraa,
Phir kyu hai tumhaara ehsaas itna gehraa.
"Vidya.." he whispered her name, his voice sounding pained to himself. "Please..", he didn't know what to say to comfort her.
Vidya mistook the despair in his voice, thinking that Saagar felt embarassed at her tears. She composed her self, reaching to wipe out her tears. She whispered her apology, and pulled apart, forcing a smile as he faced him.
Saagar wasn't fooled, and reached out touch her, but she moved away, and excused her self. Saagar stood rooted to the spot, his hand still reaching out, as he saw Vidya nearly run inside.
"Phew, maine socha she was never going to leave. Ab jo tumne sab ke saamne, apni wife ke saath dance karne ki formality puri karli hai, you can enjoy the party without her." Surili wrapped her arm around Saagar, smiling slyly as she ran her fingers against his arms. "Come on lets grab a drink", she dragged him to the bar.

"Saara plan paani main gaya. Shalu maine tumse romantic gaana kahaan tha aur tumne galat CD play karli."
Shalu looked sheepish, "Sorry, woh mamma ne bhi is stupid diet pe rakha hai. Kuch khaane hi nahi deti. Bhook ke maare mera brain is not kaam doing.
Bharat sighs, "Ab kya kare? Mammi to chali gayee.."
"Aur dadda phirse us..." Chinu made a face as he thought about Surili. "Dekho dadda ko kaise sharaab ke nashe mein...us ladki ke iraade bilkul theek nahi hain. Mujhe kuch karna padega."
Chinu walked towards Saagar as he drowned aother drink that Surili handed him. "Dadda, aapko bhabhi bula rahi hai."
Saagar looked at Chinu slightly disoriented, and confused, "Bhabhi, kiski?"
"Hum Vidya bhabhi ki baat kar rahe hain."
"Pehle woh meri wife thi, ab meri bhabhi hai?" Saagar smiled as he looked at Surili.
"Dadda..." Chinu looked with disgust at Surili, "Chaliye."
"Theeke, chalo...Vidya boss is calling...nahi Vidya Bhabhi." He leaned into Chinu for support as the drinks were beginning to take effect.
Vidya was sitting on the bed lost in though when Chinu walked in with Saagar, who was humming. She quickly rushed to his side, and suppported him, and aske Chuinu what the matter was.
"Inhe kya hua?"
"Kuch nahi bas thodi si peeli. Sambhaliye inhe, mujhe kuch kaam hai."
As soon as Chinu left, Saagar pushed Vidya aside with his arm, and nearly lost his balance.
Vidya again moved closer to Saagar, "Aapne kyu pi? Aapko to pata hain ki aapke sahat ke liye..."
"Shhh. Chup." Saagar interrupted Vidya placing a finger against her lips. "Quiet. Mujhe jo karna hain main karoonga. Tumhe accha lage ya nahi. Mujh pe haq mut jataao, tum meri kuch nahi lagti."
Saagar then turned to Vidya, "Why? Kyu?"
Vidya looked confused, as Saagar moved closer to her."Bataao na Vidya, Why?"
Vidya took a step back not understanding what he was asking.
Saagar cornered Vidya against the wall placing his arms on either side of her, "Tumne mujhse shaadi kyu ki? Koi bhi apni zindagi ek paagal ko kaise saup sakta hai?"
"Aap paagal nahi the." Vidya said defensively. She kept her tears at bay as she repeated herself, "Aap Paagal nahi the." Then she changed the topic, "Aap thak gaye honge."
Saagar looked at Vidya, "Tumhe meri itni parwaah kyu hai?" he rested his forehead against hers closing his eyes.
"Kyunki aap mere pati hain, aur meri zindagi hain."
Saagar shakes his head, "Vidya..." He reached out to cradle her face between his palms, "Vidya...Promise...Promise ke tum mujhe kabhi akela nahi chodogi."
Vidya looked up surprised, feeling her heart elate at the possibilty that maybe Saagar had remembered her. Saagar opened his eyes, looking confused, and stared at her blankly. His hands dropped to his sides, and he moved away.
"Main thak gaya hoon...woh Surili ne..." He paused unable to say more as he felt completely drowsy.
Vidya flinched at the mention of Surili's name. She reached out to support Saagar who swayed a littlt but then wrapped his arms around her, as they she led him to his bed.
Once seated on the edge, she undid his tie and removed his jacket. She then laid him down as his breath became even, indicating that he had fallen asleep.
Vidya removed his shoes, and then covered him with the blanket, tucking it by his arms. She looked at him awhile, then hesitantly placed her hand over his forehead, and running her fingers through his hair slightly. Then leaning over to place a small kiss against his forehead she rose and left to go change.
