Episode 4
As Saagar plants kisses up to her earring, Vidya not in control of herself, swings back to hug him tightly. Both have their eyes closed and Vidya leaps on to him as if there is no tomorrow. Saagar takes his left hand and caress' Vidya's hair, he then digs his face between her shoulder and hair….the night fades away as the two lovers come together in an unyielding embrace.
The Next Morning
Vidya wakes up to see their holding hands on the pillow, she smiles, slowly takes her hand away and gets up. She sits on the bed and lovingly looks at Saagar peacefully sleeping; Vidya has a shy smile on her face. She bends down, closes her eyes and kisses Saagar's hair. He moves a bit but still fast asleep like a child. She turns away to get off the bed when she unexpectedly remembers the bitter words spoken between the two. She wonders...What should she do? Those harsh words said by Saagar were not easy to forget but ...in the same night, they became one, how can she forget that? Vidya looks around again to see Saagar as her eyes become moist…but she smiles again and goes off.
After 10 minutes
Vidya comes out of the shower drying her wet hair when Saagar turns over from his sleep and wakes up to see his beautiful wife. He breaks in to a re-assuring smile seeing her early in the morning but Vidya is unaware that Saagar has woken up. He stays in one position, resting his head on his right arm and keeps staring at Vidya as she goes on to pray. Saagar remembers last night and smiles but Vidya's words echo in to his mind……
"….jiss insaan ne iss shaadi ki kabhi izzat nahin ki, apni patni ko kabhi uska sahin darja nahin diya….woh yeh sab baat kaise samjhega."
Saagar jumps up and puts his hand against his mouth, trying to calculate all that happened. The images of him kissing Vidya co-incide with her words….back and forth…back and forth…Saagar holds his head when the fragrance of the incense sticks reach him. Vidya is holding the pooja dish, hinting at Saagar to take the aarti. Saagar nervously does but he looks at Vidya while doing so. When Vidya notices Saagar perspiring, she frowns and looks at him with worry but Saagar looks away.
Saagar: (avoiding eye contact) Woh mein…office ke liye der ho rahi hai. Main nah ne jaata hu. (gulps faintly)
Saagar gets up, as he moves to the left he nearly walks in to Vidya. As Vidya moves to the right so does he and they both look at each other. While Vidya stares at him so lovingly, Saagar has a sympathetic and guilty look in his eyes. He looks down and moves away…..Vidya laughs lightly.
Vidya goes out of the room to prepare breakfast while Saagar enters the bathroom. After half an hour or so, Saagar comes out brushing his hair with the towel and walks towards the mirror. He looks at himself carefully and remembers Vidya's words again…
" apni patni ko kabhi uska sahin darja nahin diya"
They haunt him repeatedly and so he turns himself away from the mirror. Just then Vidya walks in, Saagar stands still for a moment. Vidya again wonders what is up with Saagar today, she goes past him to get his office clothes out of the wardrobe.
Vidya: Aapke kapre
Saagar: (gives an awkward smile) Waha bed upar rakdo.
And so Vidya does.
Vidya: Aap jaldi neeche aayiye aur nashta kar lijiye. (turns round and smiles cutely at Saagar)
Saagar nods his head in the most uncomfortable manner. Vidya looks at him oddly and to that Saagar says….
Saagar:
Vidya is surprised at first but then assumes Saagar still may need getting used to the pati-patni relationship. She goes out all smiling where as Saagar has the most guilty look on his face while he gets dressed. He opens the door after putting on his tie and sees Vidya waiting paitently outside for him. She turns round to see him….
Vidya: Woh…maa aapko nashte ke liye bula (voice fades)
Saagar: (deep tone) Ha…chalo.
He walks past Vidya but then she calls out for him.
Vidya: (Softly) Suniye
Saagar turns round to face Vidya, whom then walks up to him. Saagar feels daunted by her nearing presence. Vidya breaks in to a smile and fixes his tie.
Both walk down the stairs towards the dining table but Saagar is slightly ahead. Vidya is hopelessly looking and following him. Everyone is sitting down on the dining table but Saagar walks right past them….
Maa stops him.
Maa: Beta (worriedly) Kaha jaa rahe ho? Nashta toh kar ke jao.
Saagar: (hesitantly) Nahin..woh maa, kuch zaroori kaam hai office mein.
Vidya: (interrupts) Par aap kuch toh khake jayiye
Saagar: (ignores Vidya) Maa, mein waha pe khaluga.
Vidya is disheartened as Saagar walks out.
Maa: Aaj isse kya hogaya? Nashta bhi nahin kiya…
Sindoora: Iss Vidya se hi puch lijye. Aapke bete ki har parishaani ki wajah uski apni patni hai.
Vidya is angry but at this moment she is more upset at Saagar's behaviour. She walks away without eating breakfast. Mahua and Sindoora snigger amongst themselves.
At lunchtime
Vidya stares at the phone, pondering if she should call to check if Saagar has eaten or not. On the other side, Saagar looks at the phone as if he wants to pick it up and ring Vidya. He even picks up the receiver but then puts it down again…Vidya does the same at home. She gets up thinking she is acting stupid but then sits down again and picks up the phone. Without thinking she dials Saagar's office number. Saagar hurriedly picks it up…
Saagar: (as if expecting someone) Hello?
But Vidya is unsure. What should she say? Had she done something wrong? What if she is bothering him right now? Her eyes become moist and desperation is clearly shown on their faces. Vidya puts the phone down hurriedly.
Vidya: Aakhir kya hua hai inhe. (becomes extremely tensed)
Saagar puts his face in his hands in despair.
In the evening
Vidya is in the kitchen preparing dinner but still lost in her own world. As she is doing this, something tugs at the end of her sari. Vidya stands still in shock and then rapidly
urns around to see Harsh, whom has the utmost evil facial expression.
Harsh: Vidya…yeh tum kya karahi ho. Arre yeh kaam toh naukaro ka hai. Tum toh iss ghar ki rani ho Vidya. (raises one eyebrow) aur hamare dil ki bhi.
He comes closer but with Vidya already in distress, she instantly pushes him away. Harsh is shocked at where this new found power came from but chooses to ignore it and go for her again. Just then Chandra calls out for Harsh, to which he quickly changes his tune and walks out of the kitchen, giving a dirty look to Vidya.
She heaves a sigh of relief and turns round to carry on with her cooking. At this point of time, Vidya is on the verge of crying. Nothing seems to be going right for her today but she still attempts to carry on. There is a touch on her shoulder, Vidya looks up with fright and turns around expecting Harsh, but its Saagar. She closes her eyes in relief.
Vidya: Aap?
Saagar: (calmly) Sorry
Vidya: Nahin woh teekh hai, main to bas…
Saagar: Iss baat ke liye nahin.
Vidya is puzzled.
Saagar: (trying to say something)Vidya main tumse- (gets cut off by Saagar's mum)
Maa: Arre beta aa gaya. Acha hua. (looks towards Vidya) Vidya , khana hogaya beta?
Vidya: (still lost in what Saagar was trying to tell her) Ji? Haa Maa, bas hogaya.
Maa: Teekh hai…aaj mein Saagar ko apne haathon se khilaogi (runs her hands through Saagars hair). Aaj tu bina nashte kiye chala gaya tha na.
Saagar smiles, looks at Vidya and then walks off as she looks on.
In Saagar-Vidya's bedroom
Saagar is loosening his tie when Vidya comes in and he stops to look at her.
Vidya: Aap..kuch kehna-
Saagar: (gulps and nods his head)
Vidya walks up to him as they stand face to face.
Vidya: Pehle aap khana- (as if she can see the worst coming)
Saagar: (shakes his head)
Vidya becomes more worried.
Saagar: Vidya…kal jo hua…(wipes his mouth and finally looks at Vidya, in to her eyes). Vidya kal jo hua, nahin hona chahiye tha…I'm really sorry.
Vidya: (her heart sinks) Lekin galti sirf aapki nahin thi. (Saagar looks somewhat relieved) Maine bhi gusse mein aake na jaane kya khediya. (shyly) Lekin uss ke baad jo hua…(looks down remembering those beautiful moments)
Saagar: (with a regretful tone) Pata hai…Woh hi meri sabse bari galti thi
Vidya looks up with terror, pain and agony. Her whole world just got shattered by those crucial words spoken by Saagar. What did he just say? How could he? The tears just roll down her cheeks as she stands like a lifeless being.

Episode 5
Saagar turns around as he cannot face Vidya with his words.
Saagar: Vidya, kal raat jo bhi hua…galat hua. Main jaanta hu ke tum meri bahut parwa karti ho…tum bahut achi ho Vidya (She stops reacting) aur kahin na kahin mein bhi tumhe apna acha dost manne laga tha, infact…manta hu. Lekin pyar…pyar toh kabhi tha hi nahin hamari beech. (Holds his head) Phir pata nahin yeh sab kaise hogaya….nashe mein. I'm really sorry Vidya…(turns round to see no-one there) Vidya? (He closes his eyes in despair and bangs his fist on the wardrobe loudly)
Vidya sits on the bench, in the back garden while the wind blows rowdily in her face yet she seems unreceptive. A figure comes and sits next to her but she still doesn't respond. He even touches her shoulder but this seems to have no affect on Vidya.
Saagar: (concerned and upset) Vidya. Please mujhe maaf kardo.
Vidya: (shakes her head) Jab aapne kuch kiya hi nahin, toh maafi kyon maang rahe hai.
Saagar is shocked and baffled. Vidya remains facing forwards while Saagar watchers her intently.
Vidya: Aapne kuch galat nahin kiya. Galti toh meri hai ke main aapki parva, pyar samaj bethi. (laughs with tears coming out). Thori der ke liye hum sochne lage ke hum aapke layak hogaye hai.
Saagar: Nahin..Vidya aisi baat nahin hai.
Vidya: (wipes her tears) Lekin ab sab saaf hogaya hai aur humein pata hai ke humein kya karna hai.
Saagar: Kya matlab?
Vidya: (finally turns towards him) Hum yeh ghar chorke jaa rahe hai. Kal subhe hi…
Saagar's eyes widen with disbelief.
Saagar: Yeh tum kya ke rahi ho. Tum kyon ghar chorke jaoogi?
Vidya: Hum kyon na jaaye? Koi wajah…(finds it difficult to say the words) wajah hi nahin hamare yahan rehne ki.
Saagar: Ofcourse wajah hai. Maa hai, Cheenu hai, Bharat hai…Aniketh jeejaji hai (runs out names)
Vidya: (quietly) Lekin jiss wajah se hamara rishta inn logo se bana, uss wajah ki buniyaad hi nahin rahin.
Saagar is short of vocabulary as he listens to Vidya.
Vidya: Aur jiss insaan ki ek awaaz se hum ruk jaate…woh awaaz humein kahin suna nahin de rahi.
Saagar: Lekin Vidya… maine kab kaha ke tum jao?
Vidya: (sharply cuts Saagar off) Rukne ke liye bhi toh nahin kaha…! Wajah upar aagaye
Dead Silence.
Saagar: (stands up with his back facing Vidya) Teekh hai. (angrily) Main tumhe nahin roku ga. (with pain) Aakhir hamara rishta ka faisla hogaya.
As he turns around, Vidya pretends to be strong but then weeps continuously as soon as he leaves. Saagar storms up to his bedroom, slams the door shut and runs his hands through his hair. He catches the sight of Vidya's picture in a photo frame, placed on the cabinet. He rushes towards it, picks it up vigorously and is about to throw it when his mother comes in.
Maa: (yells) Saagar…!
Saagar stops himself and conveys his aching heart through his eyes. His mother quickly walks towards him and takes the picture away. She puts her right hand on his left cheek.
Maa: Beta, tujhe kya hogaya hai?
Saagar drops down on to the bed completely and cries his heart out. His mother is puzzled and upset at seeing her son like this.
Maa: (crouches down to his level) Beta kya ho gaya hai tujhe? Aise pehle toh kabhi nahin hua tere saath? (Saagar refuses to say anything but hugs his mother tightly, whom caress' his head trying to calm him down). Beta…kuch toh bolo.
Saagar: (mumbles while he weeps away) Pata nahin maa…. (His mother lets go of him and holds his head while trying to pacify him)
Maa: (desperately) Bol beta…
Saagar: (holds his hair tightly) Pata nahin maa…(continues to mumble) Vidya ko leke mujhe kya ho jata hai. Jab woh mere paas rehti hai toh main usse kya kuch nahin kehta aur…jab…jab woh door chali jaati hai toh mujhe kuch hota hai…mujhe kuch acha nahin lagta, pata nahin kyon…maa par bahut taqleef hoti hai. Main aisa kyon hu (cries even more, holding his face in his hands). Main jaanta hu ke mein Vidya se pyar nahin karta toh phir yeh sab mere saath kyon hota hai. (He hugs mother again)
Maa: (pacifies him continuously) Pehle tum chup ho jao. Kaisi haalat karli hai tumne apne aap ki.
After a few minutes, his mother sits beside Saagar on his bed and strokes his hair, to calm him down.
Maa: Tum kehte ho ke tum Vidya se pyar nahin karte. Lekin Iss tarah se tum kisi ke nahin roye aur Surily ke liye toh bilkul hi nahin (Saagar looks towards her). Main tumhe yeh toh nahin bata sakti ke tum Vidya ke liye kya mehsoos karte ho, kyon ki… beta, tumhe yeh khud maloom karna hai.
Saagar: (stands up) Mujhe sab maloom hai..mujhe maloom hai ke mujhe ab kya karna hai. (his mother stands up). Maa, Vidya mere saath kabhi khush nahin reh payegi aur na ke mein usse khush rakh paooga. Isliye mein Vidya ke iss faisle se sehmat hu…
Maa: (frowns worriedly) Kis faisle se?
Saagar: (determined) Ke woh iss ghar aur hum sabko (gulps) chor ke jaayegi.
Maa: Tum jaante bhi ho ke tum kya ke rahi ho. Vidya ko dulhann banake tumhare pitaji laaye the…
Saagar turns round to her…
Saagar: Maa. Agar pitaji zinda hote toh woh mujhe aur Vidya ko khush dekhna chahte. Aur meri aur Vidya ki khushi alag ahi aur bhalayi issi mein hai ke hum juda rahe. (his eyes instinctively become moist) Hum dono ek duje ke liye kabhi bane hi nahin the.
Maa: (shakes her head in disagreement and disappointment) Saagar, jab tu bimar tha…toh Vidya ki chotti si chotti baat ko samaj liya karta tha. Aur aaj jab tum bilkul teekh ho, toh kuch samaj na hi nahin chahte.
She walks away as she notices Vidya standing on the doorway.
I personally loved writing this episode the most...if you imagine the scenes as I did then I'm sure you guys will like it too.😊 (Sorry for any mistakes)
