Saagar sits back in to the car, looking miserable and disheartened. Again he feels uncomfortable while driving back home and once or twice he looks to his left, at the passenger seat. A conversation booms his mind, a conversation which made Vidya leave the house, A conversation which changed Saagar's life forever….

[FLASHBACK]

Saagar has had a few drinks in the party held in his house. Out of sheer anger, Saagar storms up to his bedroom. His eyes are bloodshot and he bangs his tightly clenched fist on his bedroom wardrobe and looks at himself in the mirror. Just then Vidya appears from behind and Saagar tightens his fist even more. Vidya is confused at her husbands' behaviour and calmly asks…

Vidya: Aap party chorkar yaha kyon aa gaye?

Saagar: (in the same posture-his back facing Vidya) Kuch nahi…woh…meri tabiyaat kuch teekh nahi hai

Vidya: (worriedly) Kyon..kya hua aapko? (puts her hand on his shoulder)

Saagar: (grits his teeth) Maine kaha na kuch nahin….tum party mein vapas jao aur mujhe please akela chordo

Vidya: Aise kaise aapko akela chor ke jaa sukti hu. Aur agar mein akeli chaligay toh log tare tare ki baatein karegein. Aap Chaliy -[Saagar interrupts]

Saagar: (inaudibly) Tumhe kabse dusron ki parva hone lagi

Vidya: (Not sure if she heard it right) Ji? Kya kaha aapne?

Saagar turns around with anger-driven eyes glaring right at Vidya, who gets slightly frightenend.

Vidya: (carefully) Aap aise kyon dekh…. (her voice fades away as her eyes catch Saagars)

Saagar begins to walk towards her, keeping eye contact and Vidya is walking back. She nearly stumbles over the bed but quickly gets herself together and continues to walk back in fright. She hits a wall and stops but Saagar continues to walk towards her till his body is leaning over hers. Complete silence. Vidya is breathing deeply as there is very little space left between the two bodies.

Saagar: (evil smile) Harsh kaisa lagta hai tumhe?

Vidya: (her eyes widen with shock)

Saagar: (his face comes closer to Vidya's) Acha lagta hai?

Vidya: (still in shock) Yeh aap kya ke rahe (whispers) hai…

Saagar: (louder and firmer) Itna bhi mushkil sawaal nahin hai Vidya (He holds her tightly by the arms as Vidya feels pain) Harsh tumhe acha lagta hai?

Vidya: (tearful) Yeh kaisa sawaal hai? Aap-(cut off again by Saagar)

Saagar: (grits teeth) Kya hua Vidya? (sarcastically and slowly takes his hands down to hold her wrists against the wall, Vidya is numb) Jawaab dene mein itni der kyon laga rahi ho? Party mein toh bahut khul ke has rahi thi… Harsh ke saath.

Vidya frowns in puzzlement and the pain is evident in her eyes.

Vidya: (firmly) Aap ko koi haq nahin hai mujse aise sawaal puchne ka. (turns her head to the right and says slowly) Main kisi se bhi baat karu, kisi ke saat hasu….(turns back to his face) aap ko kya farq parta hai?

Vidya attempts to push back but fails as Saagar takes her wrists again and puts them up on the wall.

Saagar: (turns even more feisty) Tum apne aap ko samajti kya ho? Tumhe kya lagta hai? (raises voice) Mujhe jaln hoti hai tumhe Harsh ke saath dekh kar? Aisi galat femi mein mat rehna (his eyes glare more than ever)

Vidya: (smartly) Maine kab kaha ke aap jalte hai?

Saagar: (feels stupid) Good. Kyon ki I don't care!! (tries to act cool) Tumhe jise baat karni hai karo.

Vidya: Karugi

Saagar: Toh Karo.

After a long pause and a deadly eye lock session, Saagar leaves Vidya's hands. He sniffs and sorts out his suit in attitude. Vidya is relaxed and gradually attempts to make a move. As she is turning away…Saagar laughs to himself. Vidya is baffled and turns round to see the back of Saagar, whom has his hand on his head while giving a aching laugh. He then turns round with tears in his eyes but laughter on his lips.

Saagar: Pata nahin kya ho gaya tha mujhe (Laughs a bit more as he walks towards their bed and collapses on to it) Pata nahin….

Vidya can feel the pain in Saagar's laughter, her eyes become moist too. She is standing a few metres away from him. Saagar continues to mumble…

Saagar: Pata nahin …kyon mujhe kuch ho raha tha jab Harsh tumse baat kar raha tha. (gives a fake giggle then becomes sombre) Pata nahin kyon Vidya….woh jab tumhare paas khara retha hai…mujhe acha nahin lagta Vidya. Acha nahin lagta….pata nahin kyon.

Vidya cries more as she hears Saagar talking away. He then attempts to get up, falls…Vidya takes a step forward to help but Saagar puts his hand forward to stop her.

Saagar: I'm ok…I'm ok. (grins foolishly)

He gets up again and walks towards Vidya, sluggishly. He takes his right hand and touches her cold left cheek, Vidya is shocked.

Saagar: Pata nahin kyon Vidya….par tumhe jab koi chuta hai….mujhe acha nahin lagta. (his eyes well up) Kyon acha nahin lagta? Jab mere ilava tumhare kareeb koi aata toh mujhe acha kyon nahin lagta (He becomes more unstable)

Vidya: (tries to get hold of Saagar) Suniye…aap

Saagar: (cuts her off) Shh!! Jab tumhara pati baat karaha hai toh beech main nahin bolte (he giggles away) Haan…toh mein kya ke raha tha!

Vidya: Aap hosh mein nahin hai…aap chaliye.

Saagar: (acts stubborn) No!! Tum chaliye….

Vidya: Aap kyon kar rahe aisa?

Saagar: Ohhh…sorry Vidya! Mujhe maaf kardo (turns stern again) ke mein Harsh jaisa nahin hu

Vidya, finding it hard to see Saagar in this condition, attempts to move him, but to no avail.

Saagar: (acts like a child) Tum mujhe Harsh ke liye chor dugi? Jaise maine tumhe Surili ke liye chor diya tha?

Vidya is dazed by his words and more tears roll out of her eyes.

Saagar: (purposefully) You know…main Suriliy se Bahuuuuuuuuuuuuut pyar karta hu. I don't like you….tum achi nahin ho. Tum jao Harsh ke paas (pushes Vidya away) Tumhari aur Harsh ki jodi bahut achi hai….go!

Vidya: (angrily) Aap jaante hai aap kya ke rahe hai? Aap shayad nahin maante lekin sach yeh hai ke hamari shaadi hogayi hai. Aap ab bhi hamare pati hai….

Saagar: ohhhh…toh mein aapke aur Harsh ke beech aa raha hu (Vidya gives up). I am so sorry!! Ek kaam karta hu, main khudh….Saagar Pratap Singh…apni patni Vidya ki shaadi uss Harsh ke saath kar vaooga. Khush? Mantra bhi mein bolduga…not to worry!!

Vidya is in ultimate shock and is disgusted. She swings her right hand back and SLAPS Saagar on his cheek…it all goes quiet as Vidya has agonizing expression on her face.
