Gosh! vidya is getting dumber by the day....in Us they showed that she found out about Sindoora switching medicines..yet she went and asks sindoora very politely instead of keeping the discovery to herself and doing somrthing about it. In Koshissh... the wife was pretty intelligent and she knew how to protect her husband. While Vidya is illetrate, that does not mean she is brainless.Only dumb and foolish person can be this naive and good.🤢

i so agree wid u, just cuz she is illiterate, does not mean that she doesnt know the difference between right and wrong, and which is happening infront her. they make her seem soooo hopeless and helpless.

I guess she tries to find the goodness in people. Maybe another name for that is stupidity and naivety. However , its not to say Vidya doesn't have her strengths, its comes from within and thanks to that unseen power she wil cure Saagar. We can see how much he relies on her now and before Saagar, it was her mother who was dependant on her. I still think she's one of the weakest on-screen female protaganists seen in recent times but there are some aspects which set her apart from the rest.

you are right...hopeless and helpless perfectly describes her character and that is sooo... yesterday! In today's day and age, nobody will accept such character.I think the writers are from pre-historic era.

Excellent post. She acts like a brainless twit... if this were real life, that hubbie would be dead by his sis' hands by now. Utterly ridiculous.

Ah ! Atlast I found a place to tell people how we feel about this show! Vidya and Sagar are so sweet to look at but the story line is so dragging and I change the channel as soon as I see 'Sindhora'. Her face is so over exposed with meaningless roles in " Astitva--" and "Reth" that we cannot bear her any more.
I know some people who are so intelligent and cleverly manage their lives and are helpful to sort other's problems though they are not much educated.
sagar is really acting well but what is the use ! How much can the director, producer and writers torment us by unnecessary plots and ideas with their sick minds.
The only way to escape this torture is to take a resolution not to watch this show.

i've been thinking bout this forever!! an example at the beginning of the show she is given money or sumthing n she doesnt no how to count it! that rly bugged me!!! even the most illiterate of ppl can leanr how to count "some" money

n yeah being illiterate doesnt take ur brain away!! 😡

hopefully once saagar gets better he'll be a mentor/teacher to vidyaa and she'll become strong and smart enough to not be so naaive!

i wrote an essay in one of my posts in some other topic that also said how dumb vidya is.

i feel that vidya always tries to find the goodness in pple. she thinks the world is just black & white. she forgives everyone easily, doesn't hold grudges. her whole personality might have been different if she was educated.😊

for me, vidya's likeability lies in her illiteracy. she is not snooty or revengeful.😛 true, she is meek & submissive. but vidya is not weak willed. she actually has strong admirable determination.👏👏 remember she went around the god's idol 1000 times so that sagar could get well? now that's determination.👏👏👏

if sagar gets well and gives vidya his love, vidya will become stronger & more determined.😛 she'll most definitely become one of the best loved serial characters.😃

I have a feeling that once Sagar gets well, he will not be able to identify himself with vidya as his "wife". He went for his education abroad, hence once his memory comes back,he will not remember all the sacrifices "beechari" Vidya has made. I think she should atleast learn to read and write from Bharat and chinoo...
