She felt like crying, because he even after what just happened between them,, he still wanted to stop the wedding. And all he seemed to want - was - was - she couldn't say it. Not when it hurt too much just to even think it! She should just give in, agree to stop the wedding. "Just let him go Vidya" she told herself with a sensible sadness. "Are you more important than his happiness, is anything?" she admonished herself silently. "If you, she took a deep breath, finally willing to admit it, to herself at least. If you love him, let him have what he wants to make him happy." Her shoulders dropped as she lowered her head, she didn't want Sagar to see her eyes misting with tears. "I know what you want Sagar" Vidya said wearily. "Really?" he asked softly. "How could you Vidya? How could you know, when I don't even know anymore" he said quietly. Inside Vidya jolted at his tone. It was almost ... could he mean ... "There's something between us Vidya. I know you feel it, I certainly do." Then her skepticism crept in, she was pretty sure what that "something" was, because he didn't have any trouble expressing that kind of feeling with her. "Something I have never felt before." Now her cynicism definitely reared it's ugly head. She knew the feelings she had deep inside her for this man. They overwhelmed her. It still startled her to think that she was in love with Sagar Pratrap Singh. A man she just met, didn't really know, yet felt unbelievably connected to by some invisible pull. "But him" she thought. "I'd be a fool to think he's never experienced those feelings with any number of women." He interrupted her thoughts before they could turn bitter. "You make me so angry one minute I want to kick something. In the next you tease, tempt and entice me so badly I want to drag you off by the hair." "I do not!" she gasped loudly and stamped her foot angrily. "You!, jabbing a stiff finger into his chest, just grab! I - don't - have - to - do - anything!" she said quite indignantly. He grinned inwardly at the fire in her chocolate eyes. He liked that fire. Her eyes blazing, her mouth firm, her body rigid with pride. It was better than that sadness, just under the surface. She tried to hide it, but somehow he knew it was there. Just like he knew the thought of her not being with him was beginning to make that ache in his chest expand to his soul. A wry smile crossed his face as he wrapped his fingers around that accusing finger and held it there, against his heart. "You're right, I do. Because you are just ... so damn beautiful! I can't stop myself. So, you see, it is your fault little one" his voice husky as he kissed the tip of that finger. Her eyes rounded and her mouth hung open in shock as he continued. "And in the next minute I want to protect you from the world. And in the next I'm so confused I'm lucky if I remember my name." Still in shock at his words, he easily pulled her closer to him with a hand around her waist. "I don't want you to take the train to Delhi Vidya. I want to take you there, with me, today" he was a bit shocked when those words came out of his mouth. Only minutes ago he was telling himself he needed to stop their shaadi. And now, he wanted her in Delhi, with him. "I want to get to know you Vidya. For us to know each other." She extracted her finger, and herself, from his hold. Stepping back she raised a brow, her hands on her hips "exactly what do you mean by "know me" Sagar?" she asked with feminine suspicion. A roguish grin spread his mouth, a distinct masculine gleam appearing in his eyes to match. "Vidya, Vidya, see what I mean. You just make me want to grab and kiss breathless you when you get all bristly." For the first time that day, a full, deep from the belly laugh, shook him. "She is something else" he thought. "And I feel ... happy" he mused in genuine surprise.
