Buzz up!
Ekta Kapoor is back on TV with five new shows which will be aired on different channels. The shows will go on air by next month and a half.
Keshav Pandit is apparently a detective series with episodic stories. Mera Naam Karegi Roshan is a daughter-oriented show. Sarvagun Sampanna, which is to be shot in Kolhapur, has a political backdrop. Chand Chupa Badal Mein is a romantic family drama. And the show on STAR One is a youthful show, the kind Kapoor had made for MTV.
When contacted Ekta on launching so many shows at a time she says, "I have taken on minimum work load this year. Last year, I had worked on seven shows. That was crazy. I don't want to put my hand into too many things this year," she says.
Aren't five shows, and a movie, Once Upon A Time In Bombay, a little much to be called little work? She defends that she's tried hard to space things out on her schedule. "I didn't want all my shows and movies to clash. But then, what to do? I don't decide when the channels want to slot my shows. I knew about my movie's release timing before. So, I was prepared for that. With the rest, I'm sure, I'll sail through, she sighs.
