interesting conversation going on the fault lies equally on both sides - DM's as well as Santu's ... Hope DM and Santu's confrontation will happen sooner and seems even we might be in surprise when it would happen... but already groundwork for confrontation is being laid on with Baa telling DM that he is being unfair towards Santu and rightly pointing out that she is being criticised and ridiculed by her own family members for whom she has nothing but well wishes. DM did not verbally fight her when she said that DM only thought Santu was there because of tijori and she is not m-clan's family member, rather DM said we will do Monghi's wedding rasams together. Knowing about Santu and her principles it will be fair enough for us to assume that there will be confrontation between DM and Santu so that they can be part of the wedding rituals ... don't see how they will participate in ceremony without confrontation ... though Santu won't reveal who committed actual murder that will come only from Birwa's mouth. About DM loving Santu - his action speaks louder than words, I don't know if Santu realises it or not she is the most influential person in DM's life even Moti doesn't hold that position. The respect that moti gets is symbolic of her being DM's elder sister and since Bandini is in Rural setting both DM and Santu as well as the family is symbolically respecting Moti. DM has supported Santu against moti if we go backwards, DM has also said to Motiben to respect Santu as she is the Malkin of the house and Dharampur lets see what CVs show us

Agree,M.About the last bit,I dont think he stayed away just because he gave his word to Khemi.At that time,he was deeply hurt because of the "I never loved you" part of the lecture.But yes,ideally,he should have done all that,but if he did,where would be the drama? Soon Chalia we will see DM up from his rocking chair and making Santu spill the beans ... right now DM is taking his own sweet time ... he is biding his time😊 Baa already gave him the first dose - about DM being unfair to Santu. So he will make sure that he takes a step forward to make Santu spit out the truth cos he has learnt that she has become very feisty and independent unlike her earlier avatar - that of dependence and of crying, DM is becoming little bit gentler ... he is not fighting, he is letting it go...
