Episode 17
The phone rang and Champa ran to answer it.. It was Maulik informing her that him and Suraj would be returning the next day as they were staying with Baa and Babuji for the night and to let DM know.. Champa didn't tell him about Santu.. She put the phone down, and was about to go to DM when Moti grabbed her arm and asked who had phoned?
Champa told her about Maulik and Suraj arriving the next day..
Moti told Champa to go and she would convey the message to DM..
Moti went and told Khemi and Khemi knew what she had to do..
Khemi: Papa…
DM: Kaun? Who is it?
Khemi: Papa, Its me Khemi..!
DM: What do you want?
Khemi: Papa actually Maulik phoned.. He said he and Suraj would be arriving tomorrow rather than today..
DM: Okay..
Khemi:Papa, I know that you must be sad and don't want to here me speaking right now but we have always wanted your happiness.. We never wanted you to be betrayed so badly by Santu, but you always took her side and now she is back.. You can see that she always loved your money.. I am sorry Papa, about the past.. We were all just looking out for you.
DM:I know.. But sometimes you have to trust your spouse and I made the mistake and now I'm paying.. Don't worry about the past.. Let bygones be bygones. We all have to stick together now so that Santu can't break us..
Khemi: I agree Papa.. We will do as you say(smiling to herself she knew that she was the controlling party)
DM: Go to sleep.. Its late and you have to go to the office in the morning..
Khemi: Ji Papa.. Goodnight
Khemi left the room looking satisfied by her plan being an instant hit..
Khemi shared the news with Moti and HiRal who were also happy that things were going their way..
Khemi: Looks like we won the first round quite easily..
Moti: Nankaa is an emotional fool and we can use that to our advantage
Hiten: But I can't believe he agreed so easily
Toral: Why are you so shocked? We all know Khemi must have dealt superbly..
Khemi: Compliments aside, we need to be very careful for any hiccups or else Santu will blow our cover and we will be out..!
Toral: Don't worry, our plan is fool proof.. We just need to make Papa hate Santu as much as possible that he files the divorce and bingo we are done..
Moti: Toral is right.. Don't worry Khemi we will sort this out.. You go to sleep as you and Toral have to leave early remember..
Hiten: What about next week?
Moti: Oh No..! Thanks for reminding me.. One of us will have to stay back..!
Toral: I will, Aarav is also coming back so I'll stay.. We'll sort that tomorrow.. Goodnight..
**** The Next Morning ****
Everyone got up and left for work early.. Moti also went to Mrs Sharma's kitty so the house was empty with just SanRaj as champa had gone to the market..
DM: Champa…!!! Bring me some tea…
Chan chan chan he heard the payals again and knew Santu was coming..
DM stood up and turned to face Santu who was now standing in room holding a cup of chai..
Santu: Chai..! Champa isn't here so I didn't want you to keep yelling..!
DM: You should have left it.. I don't want you to take trouble and have to do my jobs..
Santu placed the chai down and looked straight into DM's face.. She burst out laughing and soon DM was also laughing..
He pulled her close and gave her a tight hug and Santu still smiling closed her eyes and let herself fully be taken into the embrace..
DM: You are a brilliant actress, I must say he spoke jokingly as Santu broke away..
Santu: You too Maalik.. Did you see Beenbaa's face..! I'm sorry but it was so real.. You are just as good as Amitabh Bachan..
DM: We fooled them so convincingly that Khemi actually brought the bakwas we gave them and came to apologise..
Santu: When I heard their conversation, I knew I had to tell you as we needed to play the cards right so they didn't have any suspicions.. They think that you have forgiven them and they've won..
DM: It's only the beginning yet and we need to be more careful and alert.. We can't keep meeting each other or they might find out the truth, and with Suraj and Maulik coming back..
One thing that we need to be careful of is Suraj although he is of a good nature and trusts you.. He is very much attached to Toral as she looked after him when he was small and you went..
Santu: Don't worry Maalik, We know what we have to do and I will make sure that we play safely.. So about Suraj..
DM: For Suraj, I am sure Toral will arrange a party for his welcome as he is coming after 5 years home so we must be very alert as Khemi and Motiben will take full advantage of the situation..
Santu: I know exactly what we have to do…
DM: Okay, forget everything else now.. Everyone will come back and you'll have to go again
DM again pulled Santu close and held her face near.. He gently blew on her face and placed his lips upon hers, their lips locked and Santu closed her eyes blushing..
Champa: Maalkin…! I'm home..
DM smiled as he saw Santu's face red by his touch.. He whispered in her ear something as he let go and she smiled to herself..
She walked away and as she reached the door, she turned around and gave him a cute smile..
Santu: Enjoy the tea..
He smiled back and sat back in his chair..
Precap: DM sings.. Tu Cheez Bari Hai Mast Mast.. And Santu asks Khemi to pour her a glass of champagne..
