Santu tossed and turned remembering the words that Khemi had spoken down th phone.. She wondered whether what she heard was true or mere lies? Had she failed to recognise DM? Was it possible that the man she saw was not DM? But then what about Maulik? His words and tearful face flashed before Santu..
She looked at the clock and knew she had to be up early as she was starting her new job but how? How could she sleep? Her mind was occupied with the day's events that she couldn't even close her eyes.
She picked up her phone and decided to ring DM instead, but would he want to speak to her? He hadn't ever come to seen her in jail? Did he even love her? Did he remember her? Her head took charge and she decided against phoning him.
The next morning she woke up, and looked in the mirror, shocked to see herself looking so awful, she showered and went downstairs..
Aman: Where were you last night? You never came for supper..
Santu: I didn't feel hungry..
Aman: Okay, you sit and i'll get you some food..
Santu: I don't feel like eating..
Aman: How can that be possible? You haven't eaten at all.. What's wrong? You can tell me.
Santu: Why would something have to be wrong?
Aman: Fine as you wish.. You do remember today is your first day..
Santu: I'm going now..
Aman: Already??😕
Santu: I have somewhere to go!
Aman:I'll drop you😳
Santu: I'm okay thanks.. Bye
Without eating or saying another word Santu left the house, Gayu came and sat next to Aman at the table who was still looking towards the door...
Gayu: Beta, pass me the plate please..
Aman: Here Maa.. Maa i want to ask you something?
Gayu: Go ahead..
Aman: How do you like Santu?
Gayu: She is very cultured and I'm very fond of her.. She is very warm and understanding..
Aman: And what about me and her together?? 😲
Gayu looked at Aman shocked, she hadn't ever thought about Aman's feelings towards Santu but then he had never been told about Santu's past..
Aman: What happened Maa?
Gayu: Nothing, how is work going?
Aman: Maa, that's not what I asked you.. I asked you about me and Santu as a jodi..
Gayu: Leave Aman, its not going to happen!
Aman: But why?
Gayu: I am in no position to tell you, just leave it.. You and Santu can never be one!
Gayu got up and walked away leaving Aman alone in his thoughts, he was determined to find out what secrets Santu and his mother were keeping from him..
*Meanwhile*
Santu approached the M-Mansion gate and walked in.. It was a couple of minutes past eight and everyone would usually be awake.. Santu lit a diya by the tulsi maa and walked in..
She saw Champakali rushing around with food plates and was shocked to see a whole new M-Mansion!
