I apologize if you felt that i was trying to oppress my views on you..
This is a friendly forum where all views are tolerated, so there is no need to apologise :)
I was just merely pointing that alternative views should be expressed. This place would be rather dull if we all agreed.
And I totally agree.
This was the past before the couple consumated their relationship..
IMHO, it wasn't the past, if you read the comments it was most of the life Santu spent with DM and recall that the couple only got together (very briefly), just before Arjun was killed
.
and was it not Santu who filed for the divorce when DM was gone away.. whether Moti brought that on or not is totally irrelevant..The desicion to divorce him should not have been taken when he was gone and then to hide things.. If she wanted to terminate the marriage then she should have spoken to him..
Yes, in fact Moti emotionally blackmailed and bullied Santu into a divorce. Santu had discussed the divorce with DM, to allow Khemi and Hitten to marry, but it was Moti who tried to rush the divorce and sent the papers to the lawyers.
I somehow feel that you think I am totally against Santu.. and i again apologise if that's how i am portraying myself..
Not at all, it is easy to misunderstand others on the net. I also am not against DM, just his weaknesses.
.. Santu made a huge life changing decision that effected DM directly.. He lost 10 years because his wife kept quiet about a matter that very much involved him..
IMHO, Santu kept silent about the murder because Birwa was a young child and she didn't want DM's child going into prison and him being disreputed or hurt. DM knew that but didn't act on investigating. Santu is from a poor background, illiterate, very frightened, meek, was used to living a life of a servant. Having no large family herself, hardly anyone noticing her, so she took on the blame.
Santu reached a breaking point before Arjun was killed and was tired of everyone accusing, blaming, and hating her so much. First isolated by DM, then Moti bullying and abusing her, also the rest Hitten & Kadu, hating her because their father brought in a 'child bride', their age, their grandmother and in-laws, angry with DM for marrying someone without their knowledge and breaking a trust of the commitment to the first wife (even though she was dead). Molik, who always despised her and then finally the last straw came when Khemi her own sister was against her with Arjun.
I think that a woman having to deal with so many people in the family being against her can not be expected to please everyone and to do what everyone wants as she also has a mind of her own, feelings and her own limitations. So Santu had a mental breakdown and fell into depression (the time when she was locked up in the storeroom for the second time round), she was haunted by her past and present, and she kept crying she needed space to be herself, to be on her own and jail seemed as the most perfect and acceptable place...
She then gives him a hogwash story about hate and money.. and maintains that story even when she returns.. She disrepects him over and over.. even when there is no one but them..
Santu may appear to disrespect DM, but actually doesn't. She treated his wounds just recently and forgave him for pushing her and being violent. There were also some scenes in the serial (recently) showing DM's lack of trust of Santu after she came back from prison She already tried to explain to DM, that Molik & Sandeep were the real culprit, but DM wouldn't believe her and even insulted her in front of the whole village - something that Santu would never do to her husband. Khemi and Moti both bent on destroying her marriage and her life. Remember also before, DM told Santu never to complain about Moti? So what was Santu to do with a man who protects his family even when they are wrong and guilty, except leave? Which she did, but Molik and Sandeep's crimes brought her back. After she was freed from Molik and Sandeep capture, she had period of deep reflection. It was then when she asked herself for how long should she support children who are constantly bent on crime and wrong doing and how to bring them back on the right path.
I just don't see why she has to banter and harper on and hurt a man that she broke so badly..
IMHO, it is Santu who has been hurt the most. Being his wife, living under the same roof, she understands DM very well, even more than us 😆 she is not trying to hurt him, but make him more self aware and responsible so that he realizes the truth about what is going on with his own family.
