She will just transform into this half-dead person for a while and DM will feel himself breaking down everytime he sees what she has been reduced to by the death of a loved one.. aww !

And would love the addition to that scene that DM does not know how to manage such long hair and is trying to be extra gentle with her hair not wanting to spoil it and then just fumbling around with the hair and ending up accidentally tickling her and then just being too embarrassed of himself and just holding her with his eyes closed and she laughing at him lovingly ..
