Santu ki haalat dhek kar zehen kay kissi goshay se..maazi ki aik sadaa

Apni nafrat ko kis andaaz se anjaam dete ho
Jo kuch bhi nahi usse rishte ka naam dete ho
Tumharay asmaanon kay taaray bangaye zanjeerein
Batao...ye kaisi azaadi ka paighaam dete ho?

I was going to start a comical mushaira thread of what each character would say to another, but I never got round to it. Aaj aamad hui, to thread banaa diya. Hope you guys can bring more of a cheer to it!

^lol... ive always believed that take poetry out of its language is like skinning a murghi and letting it run crazily around Dharampur! :p But yeh you could say you have an accurate translation.

I loved the shaayari...Urdu is such a poetic, beautiful language!

Here is something from me...Since I am utterly incapable of writing anything serious and meaningful, here is something on the lighter side!

Santu, teri kismat hai khoti

Ek taraf hai paanch bacche, aur doosri taraf hai moti (Ba-ben!)

Your Pati won't give you a second look,

He would rather talk to his wife hanging on a hook

Room ke jagah storeroom de diya,

Dukh baant ne ke liye, Champakali ko bhej diya...

Ba karti hain emotional blackmail,

Malik ko impress karne ke saare nuske ho rahein hain fail!

Support ke naam par sirf Pinu Kaka aur Bapuji hain,

Hai, kya socha tha, kahan phas gayi main?

Maulik Bhai ne maar giraya meri Mawdi Gaay,

Use punish karne ka decision mujh par aa gaya, hai!

Hiten Bhai ne start kiya Pottery ka kaam,

Mongi kehti hain, mosquitoes ne kiya uska jeena haram!

Subhadra behen, tumhare baad, ab hai meri baari,

DM, Baben, Ba aur bacchon ke atyacchar se, main toh haari!

Ek spot deewar par mere liye bhi khali kar de,

Kya pata, portrait mein aa kar, Malik mujh se bhi do bate karle!

Mrs.Mahiyavanshi that was truly beautiful. I love the language so much usme gaali bhi sunaao toh achchi lagti hai but not to offend you or such, you really have a way with it. Its a beautiful one. Loved it.

le aye tum mujhe apni dulhan banake
