Hey there girls ..

Here's an interesting discussion to add another dimension to the way we watch DM and Bandini ...

If you were Subhadra (maan lo yaar!) what do you think DM would have been like when married to you.. like you perfect man .. what qualities would you subtract and which ones would you add to his CURRENT characterization for him to be your perfect man?

Love your replies😳

he is already perfect in everyway,so I don't think that he needs to do more or less to make him more perfect......I mean just look at him man he is a dream come true.

😆 I bet he was the same...he might profess to love Subhadra but I bet when she was alive he probably use to shout at her, "Jaa tu ahinya thi...taaru kai kaam nathi. Jaa jaye ne ghar ma dhyan app." He probably had Subhadra tucked away in the back of the house too.

I bet he had Subhadra massaging his feet at night before falling asleep, making sure she did her adarsh pati seva.

In my imagination, his love for Subhadra, would have been like RISH's love for Prerna - pure and selfless love. The only difference from RISH would have been, DM not allowing his love to fully consume him like RISH's love consumed RISH to some extent. I can't imagine a man like DM would ever show weakness, even for the love of his life. DM's somewhat crude, rustic and traditional views would have made him not as classically and so elegantly romantic as RISH, DM's love would have been more restrained, but it would have been their in the same amount as RISH's love. DM before Subhadra's death would have been humane; her death the humanity in him. Also, I imagine DM with his amazingly expressive eyes along with his deep baritone would have kept Shubhadra doing ☺️ from head to toe 24/7. I can image Shubhadra fumbling and foregetting herself when infront of DM, under his intense gaze and then, I can imagine her falling apart, when he would suddenly laugh out loud with his dimples going very deep. I can't imagine her making him blush though, one of those heart stopping ones that RISH used to do.

I can imagine lots more things, but will stop here now 😳.

Nice topic, Sukhi!😃
Given that DM is a man of intense loyalty and devotion and more importantly has chosen to remain a widower after his wife's death itself speaks volumes about the kind of love he must have had for her. Since its a village set-up, it would have been quite natural that DM would have remarried soon after his wife's death, but he made a choice to remain faithful to his wife's memories.
I don't think he is the kind of man who would ever express his love verbally, as in put it in words, but someone who will carry deep emotions for the person he loves in his heart. Quiet people are generally also very deep in their feelings, since they are unable to express it outwardy and keep everything bottled in.
DM would be very possessive, to the extent of being violently jealous of anyone even coming near his wife (I can already see poor Shanky's future...toota hua Camera and toote hue Daant😕) but at the same time, would not stop himself from making her jealous...but only to tease, nothing serious. He would be over-protective and extremely caring, but without being fussy...caring in a quiet, unobstructive sort of way, so that the other person only gets the benefit, but never comes to know about it!
DM is prolly very generous by nature at the same time hates any sort of wastage...is indulgent towards his daughters and strict with his sons (incase there are kids on the scene, doesn't look like till now!)
Also, can see the man as someone who is very dominating and fully authoritative...someone who would never tolerate his wife contradicting him or speaking up to him...much as he would love her, at the same time, I can only see DM as keeping his woman strictly under his thumb. He wears the Dhoti in the house and his woman better know that!
In my personal view, such men are so wonderful to read about and even watch on screen, but life would be very, very difficult to lead with such men, unless, you as a person are very submissive, forgiving and somone with a great capacity to love selflessly. Because as a member had put across somewhere, men like DM can only be won with love and nothing else!
Actually Ronit Roy comes across as a rather ideal sort of man in his interviews....good-looking, witty, modest, family oriented and very cool n laid back...

Soapie men like DM still exist but let me tell you from someone who came from an affluent family told me that she doesn't want her daughter to marry an Indian man because she doesn't want her daughter to live the life she lives being dominated by her husband.

Wow Soapie , Kanta and Tabs .. amazing replies ..

Soapie, DM wears the dhoti in the house .. LOLOLLLL

Hahhahaa .. smartydhotis he is ..
Anyways ..

According to me, though it is set in a rustic background, I think the amount of love that DM gave Subhadra must also have been evident in the freedom that he must have given her .. the wife of the Lord of the Village .. she must have been a very pampered woman by DM - financially and emotionally both.. I dont know why but I think that DM must have been quiet the opposite of what he is today , when he first married Subhadra .. I think her death turned him into the stone of a man that he is today .. yes he must have been the same dominating kind of person .. but not who dominates the relationships .. he must be really giving her a free hand while dealing with his family relations and finances ..

According to me ,

DM must have been a kind of a husband who totally gave in to all requests of his beloved wife .. changing for her .. quietly all the time without implying directly that he is giving up something for her ..

That's my 2 paisa!

LOL

Meri aaj ki ek baat 🤣....do baatein nahin karungi...🤣

RR in his interview said that when Dharam loves he loves more passionately than Rish and when he hates he hates more passionately than Rish...so I don't have anything that I would want to change in him...may be make his hair grow longer hehe
