Hi Bavie,
Nice to read yr posts.

I have not been able to watch the serial because I am having problems downloading the videos so just been reading the updates.

Horoscope matching is practised by those who believe in it. Once one is aware of the positions of the planets and stars and their movement have an effect on our lives i.e present economic crisis was predicted by the astrologers (my BIL is studying astrology as a hobby for years and he warned us a year ago) based on the guru planet shift. My point being that once you are aware of this fact you will be uncomfortable ignoring it or pretending that it doesn't matter to oneself.

In love marriages, it would be better if the kundalini is not matched again for the same reasoning whether perhaps ignorance is bliss.
A real story " my mother's friend who believes much in the Granth etc when her son found his own bride, she went on the sly and matched the kundalini. The news was not good because some dosha was involved. Mother now in possession of this information suddenly did an about face regarding the marriage. The couple eloped. Couple of years later, they faced some problem and they divorced."

Another friend of hers aranged the marriage of her son with a manglik girl despite knowing it could result in possible death of her son citing she did not believe in horoscopes etc. Within a year her son passed away.

The same way, people consult janma nakshatras to obtain the starting alphabet for their child's name so as to increase the positive vibrations on the child. E.g twin nieces of mine were named to the liking of the parents, the infants fell very sick. Panditji said they have to change their names based on janma nakshatra. The names were changed and both recovered and are in their twenties now.

I have met many people who were not horoscope believers to begin with but when bad times come, they start practising navagraha puja etc.

Even being second and third generations foreign indians horoscope matching and pujas are practised by the Hindus, heck I even know of Sikhs who do navagraha pujas. Its a part of our culture.

Also traditional belief makes the male the chief of the household. He is considered the main income earner and he is given that respect as Head. Hence all practices are always in favour of the male species.

My thoughts.

Thank you.

Very well written thoughts!
Quite agree with you on the point that all of us invariably rush to seek super-natural answers when disaster strikes our lifes! Even the greatest non-believer turns to God, when all reasons and rationals fail. In that way, astrology does play an important role...most of the times there are some solutions to problems and that itself gives a lot of hope and strenght to people in times of distress. And even if something goes wrong, a lot of people find solace in the fact that it was meant to be...since it was written in their karma. Its a sort of pyschological uplift to the soul, rather than being given cold, logical answers which might be the truth, but probably no one wants to hear them at that moment.

Seeing that the moon has effect on tide coming and going in, then why not the positions of planets affect the human, after all gravitational pull on the earth is affected by the planets. A human body is chemical composition and electricity pulses, so who knows how the environment, the movements in the solar system affect us. May be the idea of chanting jaap, a form of meditation, which relaxes the body, relieve stress and can provide some form of protection. I guess there is whole part of astronomy which may be unexplored.

As a lot of you put it. This is one of those things...either you believe in it or you don't. Some just learn to accept it.

Just like any other study and statistics, one would have to have study samples of a number of divorces or death of a spouse to go back and look at the kundlis in each case to statistically determine if there is a correlation. I am sure I can find cases of a perfectly matching kundli and yet couples ended up in a divorce.

Don't misunderstand. I am not saying the kundlis are right or wrong. I am merely pointing out that a divorce or death case here and there cannot be taken as the basis of bad kundlis that's all.

Accha so aaj kaal Wikipedia mein crash course mangal dosha ka hai, wow, superfast yeh duniya, ajeeb baath,
Kya kare....internet kaa zamanaa hai 😉 aur yeah guruji ko woh bhi nahi patha
To learn about astrology and kundali's takes a looooong time. Its a lifelong learning process for those who do know about it. But chalo, wikipedia mein to sub kuch hai, aaj kaal.
There is a particular science involved in the study of astrology as well.
Yes, I heard rahu, ketu and shani mentioned by the guruji.
The controversial interpretation here is concerning the Mangal Dosha in a female chart. There are various factors that determine the "Death" of a spouse, and all is not the fault of a mangal dosha in a female chart-its highly complex to explain here all the details as it includes a detailed study of a male and female charts and so forth, or a detailed study of a female chart alone. The word"intensity" cannot suffice alone to predict the death of a spouse, again with intensity there are other factors involved. Now, as in the series, Guruji mentioned that DM had a strong venus, then the Mangal problem is "nullified" concerning as we were shown that bechari khemi ke paas mangal dosha hai, so his venus can solve her mangal problem, there is a way, here to solve ALL Madhav Solanki's granddaughters, problem.
Santo has guru-rajyog-she has her secret admirer.
😆 yeah true...........
Khemi has mangaldosha and DM has strong venus.
Problem solved. Bus.
par kya kare.........khemi herione nahi hai naa............

However, as Hema has mentioned that predominately astrological interpretations are done by males and that is a fact in Indian culture concerning reading of a kundali. There are female astrologers out there but also they are only a handful and of course they had to learn from a male. SO, In conclusion, one has to be very careful in the choosing an astrologer.
Like i said Bavs...... Female ho yaa male.......We cannot escape our fate..........ofcourse these compatablity can reduce the pain.....but cannot make them go away......so doesnot matter

Ofcourse, once again, it's the woman who has the bear the grunt. The guy has to suffer nothing. A very biased notion. A woman fasting will cure any dosha's in their lives. What does a man have to do? Nothing, zilch, nada. 😡

As Hemaben rightly points out. It is a male's point of view and how favorable it is to them.

Chokri ka kya? Woh toh ek kone pe padi rahegi!!

Mombs,
Yes, the mangal issue can be solved, there is a solution-both kundali's need to be studied in great detail. The main thing is that there is a solution, its not like what they showed us in the episode.
The disgusting notion is the "abshukan" or death to the spouse, or harmful to the spouse role and strength of the MANGAL in the female chart, this whole MANGLIK issue in a woman's chart which I would refer to it also as some mad male perverted N demented aversion to see a strong MARS transit in a female chart. Nyways, the main thing ppl should be aware of is that no interpretation is the end of it all, there is a solution here always in a chart. AND the MANGLIK female is not all that "abshukan". So very true. If I remember correctly, I was told i have mangal in my charts. but look, ny hubby is still alive and well! 😃
Yes, Chokri ka kya, what about her feelings, nothing, nada. Chokri to milegi dime a dozen, but not anymore in this time, because during the 1990's to-I think its still going on, the girl fetuse in hundreds of not thousands were being aborted in India, and today if I am not mistaken the ratio in some villages is 5 males to 1 female. Yes, to chokri ka kya. This is rather sad but a true fact. Yes, I have heard about the imbalance in ratios. Hopefully, girls of marrying age will be in demand. Infact, they will have a selection of males to choose from.

I am loving RR portrayal as Malik, he is awesome!! I loved him in today's episode, he was just too fantastic!!! AND Jagmohan does bring out the best in Malik-his anger!!! Their scenes are something to watch for!!! As much as I hate Jaggu the slimeball, he creates rather interesting scenes. They are fun to watch. He adds a lovely dimension to the story and as you put it, brings out the best in DM.

I today's epi when he showed so much care for Santo and Nana, I half expected DM to say where was your caring self when you stole from Nana. That would have shown the other workers what a snake Jaggu is. Chalo, there will be many more opportunities. The GFN Jaggu doesn't know any better and keeps pulling fruitless stunts. 😆
