Hi Soapie,

RR is a brilliant actor. He ionized the characters RISHABH BAJAJ, MIHIR and BHEESHMA for me, he played a fantastic eccentric rogue in KS for a little while, he also essayed the role of Kunal in Sarkar: an intelligent, calm, kind and a good man (and son). He has essayed different types of roles and he has made all of them stand out. Dharamraj ji may become his best work so far, but for that we have to wait a while. It is nearly impossible to surpass RISH and Bheeshma was mind blowing as well....so the challenge is surely on. I am pretty sure he will make Dharam Ji his best so far.

Soapie,

Rishabh Bajaj is Ronit's best work so far and it's going to be a very big challenge to make DM as good as him .. but he's going on the right path.. of excellence.. and no doubt he'll end up making DM his best so far.. as Tabs said

Right then, seeing as 3 of my people have posted to this wonderful topic, I should join in also 😃 Hehehe!

Soapie, you're right on the money with your comments about the cast of Bandini - each and everyone of them has a character that looks the part, and also fits into the story beautifully! Even at this early stage of the show, every single character is pulling their weight and making the whole thing work 👍🏼

So far, my favourite characters are Dharamraaj Mahiyavanshi (obviously! 😆 ), Nana ji (he really does look the part, and I'm sure that the character is striking a chord with the audience), Pinakin (he has a great rapport with DM, and I'd guess that there will be some explanation provided as to why he has the prestigious position of being DM's second-in-command), and also, the eldest of the 3 sisters (I think she is doing a great job!).

The guy playing the role of sadu-bhai Virat Sangvi, I remember him best for the role of Satish in Hasratein... but since them, I have seen him one or two Gujju serials on Zee Gujarati. After just one episode, Virat Sangvi is actually reminding me of Shakuni from Ekta ji's Kahaani Hamaaray Mahaabhaarat ki 😕 Both characters have that serpent like slyness to them, and so that's probably why.

As well as the cast, I think that the crew are all doing a fantastic job also 👏

The direction and production values are definitely a cut above recent Balaji Telefilms shows, and the overall story telling technique is much improved 😊

And finally, would I be watching if Ronit Sir was not involved with the show? ... In all honesty, I probably would have watched the show at some point, but I know for a fact that I definitely would not be on this forum if Ronit Sir wasn't part of Bandini! 😆

With me, I tend to watch at least a few episodes of all Balaji Telefilms shows that air on either Zee, 9X, or NDTV (because those are the only channels I have 😆 ) in the UK... I watch them, and if I think that the show has substance, I'll keep watching.

When Kitani Mohobbat Hai airs on NDTV here in the UK, I'll check that out also... but because it has none of my favourite actors in it, I'm not going to bother watching it online.

I'm very impressed with Bandini so far - I think it has a LOT of potential 👍🏼
God bless.

Oh yes...

Along with the ensemble cast , we should also give it up for the crew of Bandini ... they are doing a very brave job by continuing to keep everything so low key and emphatic ..

There are a lot many new faces in the show as far as the crew is concerned -

Roshan Bhinder (wife of Late Gary Bhinder) is the creative head of the show ..

And we have an ace cinematographer in the form of Shantaram ..

so together .. we have a great crew working for Bandini - cheers to all of em as well!

OH wow...Roshan Bhinder is the creative head that's great. I haven't seen her work-- or is she new, i think she is new. New is good, coz at least we don't have bad experiences from them, u know.
Shantaram ji i don't know. LOL. but he is fantastic.
What happened to Sandip Sikand. They don't show the credits at the end do they? Coz the online vids don't have the credits at the end or the beginning so just wondering.

hey,
This is a really intriguing topic... While i would like to pretend to appreciate the soap and its authencity by saying that the storyline/look/cast(excluding RR that is) got me hooked, but the fact is that would be real big fat lie... It was ronit who got me watching it, to the level that after watching Bandini, i went online and saw a few old scenes from kasautii.. Coz i wanted to make sure that this was the same guy who played Mr.Bajaj.. The two characters are so different, but yet so similar... While the other people have also been cast aptly, nanaji for eg.(the scene wherein he wasn't allowed inside the factory, had me choking up a bit), casting of ronit as dharmraj was perfect... If there was someone else playing dharmraj, whoever it would have been, would have given the role his best, and probably it would have been good as well, and i would have watched an episode or two, and then moved on..But at the end of the day, we all know that, and it is a fact that Dharamraj is made for ronit just as ronit is made for dharamraj..

You made me think about that once again Mru ..

You are so right - I just cant think of any other person with the aura and the sheer charisma that RR has brought to this role.. come to think of it - DM is a very non-glamorous, rustic kind of a role .. but still he has managed to make it so strong and so emphatic ..

Just cant think of anyone else..

Your last line said it all ...

Sukhi, DM might have been sketched as a crude, rustic and a non-glamorous character, but RR with his portrayal of Dharamraj has surely made it damn fascinating and so alluring….He is starting to feel like a nasha almost, so strong is the attraction.

Just look at my AVI, then my bottom siggy and lastly the top wala one. All three are very different: RISH is THE DREAM, RR himself sooooooo cute and very boyish and DM is so commanding and regal. Nasha toh hoga hi, its bound to happen....can't escape ☺️.
