@ mombs ji: no, she wore the one with the yellow/blue/white border in the holi.. today, she wore the blue one with the embroidery.. i know, they look similar but she did wear a different saari.. smart move.. the other one will surely come out of the wash soon and i'm sure we'll see her donning that one soon.. 😊

@soapie: bechari subhi ko bhootni bana diya aap ne.. 😆😆😆 good title for the portrait, though.. 😉

WOW, twister Tuesday indeed... Loved the last few minutes.. I think Soapie mentioned that DM is best when he is angry.. And he was angry today, seething even... Enough to throw his chappal... The way DM yells when hiten drags Santu into the house was very surprising..Any normal person would chalk the reaction down to anger at Hiten bringing her into the house.. But delusional me, thinks it was because hiten brought his WIFE into the picture.. Got angry coz he kinda pulled her in...

The episode starts off with Nanaji deciding to hide the fact that Dm's son was the one who killed manjari... Santu and Mongi come back having taken the calf for a graze.. Santu and Nanaji talk as to how Malik will punish the criminal.. Mongi makes santu promise that she'll tell banevilaal to find the criminal and punish him.. Point to be noted here is how Santu is soo confident that the criminal will be punished, by malik...loved it... Santu heads back home and is climbing up to the store room when birwa stops her, and asks her to take a bite of the dish she prepared(dint get the name sorry..) and tells her that she prepared it the way santu instructed her to... Santu tells its very good, and birwa thanks her.. Santu thanks her in return, when birwa says, that when someone says thank you, you should reply mention not.. Santu tries to repeat but she doesn't get it.. Birwa asks her where she'd been the entire day, and santu tells her that her Ma jaisi manjari was killed.. Birwa says sorry and that even her mum is dead, and that she'll look after her mawdi.. Santu smiles slightly and tells her that she'll teach her to make something else tomorrow.. Birwa says thank you.. and santu says, me not.. its sooooooooo cute.. loved this scene, santu trying to learn english.. very very sweet... the camaraderie between Santu and birwa is great... Birwa is all respectlful with santu.. though she calls her by her name, she uses aap and not tum... I'm glad to see that slowly but steadily and surely, she's winning the hearts of the younger generation...

Phone rings and its subhadra who informs Taruben asking if hiten reached.. and tells her that hiten dint mention when he'd be coming back from dharampur.. Taruben jumps to the conclusion that hiten is coming back for good and gets everone all excited.. But DM is the cutest.. HE is overjoyed that Hiten is coming back, but is very casual in front of the family.. he goes up to his room and expresses his happiness to the portrait.. he tells subhi that after all he's our son and he cannot stay far from us... he picks out an emerald/algae.. some sort of green colour kurta to change into.. he looks SMEXCII... the colour suits him perfectly.. Baa comes there and expresses her happiness.. DM tries to behave nonchalantly, but Baa sees through his act, saying that she knows all he wants to do is welcome him with open arms..

Now when all this is happening, the servants are bustling about tidying up the house, when santu remembers that Nanaji asks her to light a ghee lamp in memory of Mawdi.. Santu takes the lamp and asks shambu for ghee, he asks her to go to the kitchen and take it from champakali(moti is being very dilli-6 with champakali btw.. she calls her masakalli, matakalii et all..).. So santu is near the kitchen door and when moti notices her.. Santu says, that her maa-jaisi manjari died, so she wants to light a ghee ka lamp.. Moti is very moti and very rudely snubs her saying, if cow is mother, then is ox father, cat sister and all... she tells her that she'll give only old oil for the lamp.. WHEN.. drumroll please.. DM enters, he stops moti and tells her, that in dharampur, cow is equivalent to one's motehr.. even for him.. moti gets angry and walks off... DM, stretches his hand with the lamp toward the kitchen aqnd says Ghee, champakali comes and pours some.. He then hands the lamp over to santu.. Santu places her hand below his while taking the lamp.. Swastina indro mantra played in the background with their wedding montage being shown.. LOVELY scene.. simply superb.. the meaning behind the scene was conveyed brilliantly.. It was simply spectacular.. WOW.. I think it shows that, with this lamp, their relationship will take a new direction, and that indirectly Santu's mother brings them closer... This entire scene, the handing over of the lamp is scene by Hiten... Santu thanks DM for doing this for her, but DM says, not for her but for her mawdi.. And sends her off, to light the lamp...

Baa bapuji spot hiten and go to welcome him.. Baa goes with aarti ka thali and hiten asks them why soo much of preparations?? Baa says thats coz he's come home.. Hiten says no, he's not come home, rather he came to ask this man(pointing at DM) why he gave assurance to the bank for His loan... DM is immediately angry.. He says, he dint go ask the bank people, the bank manager himself called up.. Hiten says that he should have declined.. HE doesn't want DM's help.. Why did he help?? DM is extremely angry, charges toward him and is held back by Baa bapuji while Moti n kads hold Hiten back he yells, why.. because you're doing it in subhadra's name.. And she's the one person i'll do anything for.. Hiten is mighty pissed asks DM to stop taking his mother's name for everything, as they all know how much love and respect DM has for his mother.. DM gets all the more wild, he goes lifts his hand to slap him, but is still being held back by bapuji.. he yells, Hiten dont forget that the hand which pats you on your back in appreciation can very well slap you in anger.. Dont forget that you're talking to Dharampur's malik as well as your father.. everyone knows how much i love subhi and to what extent i can go for her.. Hiten retorts that yes it was for his mother that he married this girl and goes and pulls Santu in between them, right in front of subhi's portrait.. DM shouts out in anger... and takes his chappal out... Hiten says that he doesn't want the help of dharampur's malik and walks out..DM throws his chappal in his general direction and storms away yelling about how young people have started behaving... the rest of the family stands helpless...

I have said this before and i'm sure i'll say it a million times again.. I absolutely LOVE these face offs.. No one gets DM angrier than Hiten.. And DM is at his best when he's angry about something... Today it reached new heights.. both father and son were right in their own way.. Hiten feels wronged in each and every step of the way.. DM being the perfect example of an orthodox dad cannot stand the way his son talks to him.. The clash of prides and Ego is brilliantly shown here... Absolutely loved this scene... A true gem.. Cant wait to see what tomorrows episode brings up...
