This is neither anandi praising thread nor anandi bashing thread. It will remain so. The topic is how to survive the loss. and anandi and DS came to my mind.

Jagya was not lost forever the way Shiv and Bhairon. DS knew that he is alive and one day he will come back. She waited silently and with some hope. And she was not disappointed. Better late than never.

When they call Anandi a strong woman they probably mean this. Carrying on with a smile while bearing the pain of all the losses she has suffered over the years deep within.
Not letting others affected by the sadness that surrounds her. Today Shivam is a cheerful child because she made sure her pain and her personal grief did not touch him.
She was like this when Shiv met her for the first time. She was outwardly a successful young woman always finding ways to make other peoples' lives better only when he got to know her that she hid the pain over loss of childhood unhealed wounds caused by rejection loss of her youth everything deep inside. That's the reason he always used to say that she is a strong woman.

Both Dsa and Anandi are so much like each other. How Dadisa must have felt when she had to let go of her grandson and do the right thing by Anandi. Not once did we see her crying over her grandson. How much it must have pained her?Yet she didn't let that overwhelm her.
How much it must have hurt her to get them divorced ?
How wholeheartedly she went about arranging the marriage between Anandi and Shiv?

Two unforgettable women 👏

@bold - This was brought in to illustrate how Dsa with so much pain over having to lose her ladesar still went about doing what she needed to do.
It was just brought up to show the pain that she went through when she had to dump her ladesar and find a new man for the girl whom she always saw her as her own beendini her desire to see them together and went about doing what she needed to do in a such whole hearted mannet inspite of wanting to give in to the desire.
People seem to be twisting it to suit their purpose - Not crying over simply meant as not just sitting and crying over the things that have happend not moving on from that point.

She did not lose Jagya but had to distance herself from him as a result of her own mistakes as well as Jagya's mistakes

Anandi did lose her daughter in her zeal to help another woman get her child back but she keeps that pain over loss of her daughter in her heart and tries to help every little girl in trouble while she is searching for her own daughter without ever losing hope.

How can you forget the most important thing...
She lost her mother whom she loved so much that she even agreed to Shiv when she had no feelings for him and wanted to stay alone...

there was another character too who were alone in their life .shivani and kunda tai .their husband left them but still they think about others .I dont think it is very much easy to for woman survive alone in big cities like .mumbai least in small town village eveybody know what is happening to neighbours even they r ready to help but in big cities no body have time to look what is happening to neighbours even that neighbour staying at next doorlike gold shine when it is expose to fire .anandi also shines more and more due to so much facing hard ship in her life

Anandi lost many things in her journey.

She lost out on education in time when she needed it the most.

She lost her husband.

She lost her daughter.

She lost her Amol.

She is left only with her son.

Yet she carries on with a smile. Ready to help unfortunate people. Find meaning in life.

Those who can think of others, can never be lonely.

Dadisa also lost many things. She lost her dearest son Basant. Her other son has gone far away with his wife. She is ready to help others.

The lesson is losing one's dearest need not become the end of our own life.

This is what Anandi's life has been all about.. The very first thing that she lost was her childhood, when she was married off as a child bride.. But even then, it didn't stop her helping needy people.

I always feel this is exactly what makes her different from others. 👏

And the two years of her married life was the 'receiving and getting it back' period of her journey.. No one loved her as selflessly as Shiv did, not even DS.

There is a difference in losing a parent, losing one's spouse, losing a child.

Losing a child is the most traumatic as far as I am concerned.

Losing the spouse is like losing a part of our body.

Losing a parent is losing the unconditional love only a parent can give.

leaves i agree wid u wid ur 2nd para. but the thing is its not sum1 dies then the loss is 4ever.the loss luks more if ur luve done is far away from u & u don't know wen will u meet them.its 4 painful and if prsn is wid u but still is distant then its more painful bcoz u don't know if u ever get them back like they used 2 b.the only consoln is that atleast they r alive.
i'd lost my father at the age of 18 & its difficult still but we know he won't cum again so no use of trying get him back or brood over him.yes we miss him wenever there r functions esply mrgs.and my mom raised 3 kids widout any support from any1. its not that no relative supported but no1 took us 2 in2 their houses like DS did 2 A. my mom was living alone wid us tho she was school lecturer. and yes oder supported emotionally us also but they were not living wid us.
Ds & oders gave A emotional & psychological support & shes constantly living wid them so shes capable of living like this.
yes i can say DS lost many things but she raised eh rkids alone widout any support whether emotional. psychological or financial .

From childhood anandi saw how the system works and how the society works. As soon as she got the opportunity, she started a school because she felt education is very important. Age is no barrier. She has to cope with personal tragedies and she diverted her energies to do what she felt needed be done. After Shiv's death, opening Shiv Niketan. While still married, starting bhaili inspite of constraints imposed by Ira.

She could have found employment in Udaipur and also taken care of bhaili. Or she could have completely devoted herself to bhaili and related activities.

Dadisa could have spent her time attending satsangs, arranging elaborate poojas. But she chose to attend school and now she is showing great interest in shiv Niketan.
