Anandi without Shiv.

Somewhere she lost the balancing factor in her life.

Whenever she had a problem, Shiv used to be her listener and her advisor.

Whenever there was a crisis, both used to face the crisis.

Shivam has good meaning people around him but he looks like a boy without much confidence. He seems sort of lost in that big haveli with distant relatives.

Amol had the good fortune of interacting with both father and mother.

If Anandi had died and Shiv was alive with two kids, how life would have been?

Then the children would not have been at the mercy of others.

Ira and Meenu would have taken anandi's role in the twins lives.

The father would have given them everything love, discipline, status and dignity.

If anandi had a good regular job in Udaipur, she would have handled her life differently inspite of Shiv's death. She could have just supervised others instead of participating in social work.

I feel sorry for the kids. Anandi is feeling bad for her lost daughter. But what sort of life she is giving to Shivam? A house which he cannot call his own. No one from his father's family. Not even his nana is with him.

I don't think Shivam comes across as under confident person at all.
He misses all the fun he had with Amol just like any brother
He does seem to be very fond of Abhi too despite fighting with him and he doesn't seem to have problem with Abhi at all.
He seems to be blissfully unaware of all the resentment and insecurity he is causing.Only somebody who is happy and content with themselves can evoke those kind of feelings in others.
He does have a good bond with his mother their communication looks like it is a two way street.
They have shown very little of Shivam and Anandi so far but what little is shown - He looks very much like Anandi Shiv's son and infact he reminds of Amol and Shiv a lot in the way he conducts himself.

Children are very sensitive. Usually they realise if there is something wrong inspite of their happy dispositions.

It will be interesting if there is some conflict between mother and son. Why we are not living in our father's house? I would like to visit Singapore to see my grandparents. How did my twin sister was lost?

@ bold - What stopped Ira Meenu and Alok from staying back and helping Anandi looks after the twins?
You are saying if Anandi had died instead of Shiv they would have helped Shiv take care of his kids.
Shiv died still they didn't care enough to stay back and help Anandi take care of his kids but instead they coolly passed off Anandi and her kids as unwanted baggage just because she didn't want to move to Singapore along with them.
What's more they trusted Anandi's ex sausral more than Anandi herself and sent her there. How is that they are not being blamed?
Thye have shown just one scene of Anandi and Shivam together where Anandi is chiding Shivam for fighting with Abhi and pointing out to him that he wan't to be friends with Abhi he should learn to give and take which is how parents should teach children to get by in the world.
Shivam seems to be a much happier and contented kid despite being raised by a single mother.

First of all what they have shown of Anandi and Shivam is very little.
So from that how can we judge whether Anandi has been a failure or a success?
Why so much eagerness to judge Anandi?
---------------
Right now the CVs are obsessed about Kahani Nandini ki so if thye have any time left over they will show that.

I think there is a difference between a single working mother who lives in her own house and a single non working mother(social service is muft service for anandi) living in unrelated people's home. As a sunny child, Shivam is ok now. But afterwards?

Whatever little I have seen of Shivam is enough for me to feel that something is lacking.

Anandi will be judged because she takes certain decisions with some consequences.

Why don't we watch and see what happens??
It all depends on not just upbringing but also depends on how parents boost their childrens' confident in themselves.
Anandi may have had Shiv's help in bringing up Amol but that doesn't mean she did not contribute anything to his upbringing or the way he turned out.
Anandi does know what goes into making a good mother and she also knows that her kid doesn't have a father so obviously she will try to give what his father would have given him.
Anandi didn't look like she would scold her son unnecessarily nor does she seem to pamper him too much because he is fatherless.
Is Shivam and his mother living at the mercy of others or are they living on their own means?? Why assume that thye are eating Muft ka khana from Singhs' house? She may be contributing to the house expenses too,
Will circumstances stay constant for ever? Only a person who is strong from inside will remain unaffected by the circumstances
Why is there so much resentment in Abhi and why Shivam is so content? Why not ask that question?

I am not thinking about Abhi and Shivam. I am thinking about Shivam.
Children are very inquisitive. When are we going to see that inquisitiveness?
I dont care for ice cream wars. It is natural in every home.

Instead of concentrating on Shivam, they are giving more importance to Nandini's physical and mental torture.

You are saying if Shiv had been a single father things would have been different.
The fact that Shivam has a single parent in place of two doesn't change.
Having no father means they are more vulnerable in the world outside
Having no mother means the defect will be felt at home. Will the grand mothers be able to compensate enough?
Kid needs both parents and from what little has been shown Anandi does seem to be succeeding to a large extent.
We would like to see more of Shivam and Anandi but we will not get to see them.
But all the same before arriving at conclusions that Anandi is a flop as a mother and Shivam's personality is not well deveopled etc we should wait to see more of their story.
