I think we need both anandi and shiv to complete.

I have observed social workers who are truly committed are not helpless like anandi.
Kejriwal, Medha Patkar, Teesta Setalvad, Priya pillai are facing challenges without becoming helpless.Of course the greatest of them all Mahatma Gandhi.

The key is not to obey the so called elders in the family blindly. The ability to say no to them on their face.
If you want to balance, you will lose the focus.

This is CVs fault, not anandi's.

Well said Leaves. our leaders are not helpless and vulnerable, even if they are facing endless challenges.

We would not have liked them to be our leaders only if they were being good-heart and helpful, but miserable and helpless when it came to controlling their own lives.

Coming to the topic of leaps
In all those K sagas - leaps didn't really matter because the themes of those shows revolved around family and family traditions since they were about ghar ki kahani and about the eternally constant equation between saas and bahu leaps and generation next stories didn't look out of place.
But in a show titled Balika Vadhu and traced the story of hers from the time she got married at the age of eight till the time she became a mother a leap is only justified if they want to show her growth and the changes that age and life brings in her.
Gen next story doesn't fit at all - To justify the title they make a social activist and a collector's daughter as Balika Vadhu why don't they realise that they reduced Anandi and Shiv's lives to nothing by making their daughter a Balika Vadhu ?
To tell Nandini's story they are using viewers fondness for Anandi Shiv. That scene in yesterday's episode where the little baby was crying into the night because she probably was missing her mother was heart breaking to see.the first thought that comes to mind how can they do this to AnandiShiv's daughter? Is this how they are going to connect Nandini with the viewers?
If that is the only way then it is sad because that shows the writer is devoid of imagination.

It was heart wrenching to see nandini being ill treated. That lady is a shame to motherhood.

Contrast it with how Shivam is so safe in the loving hands of Ganga.

I have never really enjoyed leaps, but for those I did, I left the shows mid-way except for Kumkum. The reason was my unending attraction for character / actor, Sumit / Hussain.

I saw its leap and realised that if CVs gave more footage to the next gen, it would look like we are watching filler stories and if they gave footage to Sumit -Kumkum by involving them in their children's problems, then it looked like Sumit -Kumkum do not have a story of their own. So nothing looked appealing.

Something very similar is going to happen with BV. If Nandini took the forefront, it will look like filler story. If Anandi took the forefront, it will mean she no longer has a story of her own.

Either way, the story loses grip.

In Kumkum, the soothing part was that, it was mostly a show based on the love story of the central characters and the two remained as an ever loving couple till the end.

In BV, Anandi will always remain incomplete. Leap does not make sense for this show, because Anandi is no longer a BV, and this is not a story about her daughter Nandini.

I wished the show had ended positively with Shiv -Anandi and kids. Everything else now looks recycled and non-gripping.

Even I loved that show with that haunting title track.

Let us see. Anandi may find fulfilment in other ways. Bringing up kids and her social work.

It all depends on how we will connect with a 11year Nandini.

I won't mind a leap in BV as it might bring some freshness to the show.
Yes, a lot depends on Nandini. But it was very painful to watch her suffering so much in the last episode. May be the current couple will abandon her as their purpose is fulfilled, and another nice family takes care of her. She can't be so naughty and cheerful as shown in the promo if brought up by this sadist couple.

Even if we accept that the best of marriages can end because of the death of a spouse and one never know what life brings in or where it takes us it is still pains to see Anandi this way.Everything about her reminds how incomplete she is.
The story will make sense only till Anandi finds her girl and transforms her from Nimboli to Nandini in the process of finding Nandini if she ends up helping a lot of other girls who are oppressed by the society well and good and after that there is nothing really left for Anandi and the story doesn't remain hers any more.
Most likely they will send off Anandi just the same way they sent off Shiv if they succeed in making Nandini connect with viewers .
They probably show how she grew up to be a sensible girl even with no mother or father and take the story form there🤢
--------------
Kynuki I watched for some time and other K shows also I watched - But most of them I left them mid way because these generation leaps and never ending twists - I really liked Tulsi and Mihir Virani
Many a times when ever I saw Anandi and Shiv I used to feel that they are improved version the Virani couple😆
I stopped watching these shows because finally I couldn't separate one show from the other.Till BV came up I stopped watching daily soaps now after watching BV I can't find anything that suits my tastes.
Now this show is becoming not only illogical but it is becoming more and more depressing with each passing episode.

Aparna - I think after the leap, its better they show story of Nandini and how she finds her mother.
Anandi has done whatever feasible to find her daughter and failed to do so.

I think it is Anandi who is going to find Nandini.and get her out of the clutches of Bal Vivah
The reason why Anandi gets to know that her daughter has become a BV is probably to give her a strong motivation to work towards betterment of girl child.
They did say that Anandi has become womens rights activist and she may find her and try to help her out and then realise it is her own daughter.
How will Nandini know who her mother is ? She seems to be pretty happy without even knowing that her life is in darkness. So why would Nandini even want to find who her mother is?
Don't think Anandi will be sidelined any time soon.If they wanted to make Nandini the lead straight away after ten year leap they would have bumped off Anandi also.
It is going to be all about Anandi's struggles failures and triumphs at least till July 2015.Nandini's story will be shown in parallel along with Shivam's
Amol I guess will be sent abroad for studies for the time being and may make an entry much later once the gen next story starts.
I am sure after crossing the mile stone of longest running daily soap - they would want to complete 7 years and after that sometime in Sept Oct they will be completing 2000 episodes.😛😆I am sure that is the only reason why they are thinking of gen next story so that thye can reach that mile stone😛
