How many times I have to tell you that I am not supporting rape?

If I dont sympathise with sanchi, it does not mean I support some heinous crime.

I am as much against rape as any of you gnerally speaking.

leaves, do you actually mean it??

What Sanchi needs right now, is not sympathy, but help and support to help her come out of the trauma. No matter however rude, arrogant, mean & self centered she is, no woman on this earth deserves a rape.

Sorry, but I find this as regressive as the Panchayats, who give such punishments to women for their so called crimes.

Members can discuss the context of the story line and the incident but be careful not to talk in personal tone and also be cautious in choosing right words as this rape is a sensitive issue in the Indian context. - BV DT

U r right a rape is a rape n i do not think it is justified for any woman so i would expect you being part of development team should lock such post which is so negative at least this much we can expect from IF

I am against rape. The CVs are trying to bring the concept of abla nari which is reprehensible.

Why cant sanchi herself sensed something and fought for herself?

However bad a woman may be or is, rape is not justified. I will reiterate, even a prostitute who sells her body for money does not deserve to be forced/raped against her wishes. It is the most traumatic thing that can happen.

And when rape happens, it is so easy for us to pass judgement that girl should have sensed it, girl should have fought, girl should have done that without realizing that we can never be in that girl's shoes. We can never even imagine what situation the girl is in. Date rape is the worst kind as you are numbing the senses for her to even realize what is happening to her.

Also as one of the people pointed out Sanchi does not need sympathy, but support love and affection to see her through this trauma

I second your thoughts Supriya ..there are many ignorant people who try to find fault within the women who are raped and pass some irrelevent judgements!! Rape is the most horrendous crime and no woman deserves it!

Sanchi had many opportunities to sense but she did not want to. She invited Saurabh when no one was at home. She was in a delicate position when that servant came. Instead of being grateful to the servant for saving her in time, she started to harass him.

This is a very sensitive topic to discuss, I felt though Sa is completely a spoilt brat she did love Saurabh whole heartedly and this is really sick on Sau part to drug her to rape her. I don't think knowingly Sa would have let this happen to her.
Now this is a matter of mistrust and she can fight this case in court and this should make her a better person.
Also, just like Ganga fought from the bad guy (I don't remember his name) in B'lore, the writers could have used this idea to open up Sa heights of arrogance and not this worst scenario.
This should be a message for some women who fall in love blindly and trust them and not paying heed to the advice of wellwishers.
