How is she supposed to react to all this?

She will obviously be confused on seeing all this and only her husband and his pain matters to her.

She clearly said before that it doesn't matter to her who his parents are.

The only thing that matters to her is her husband and she reacted when he was slapped by his father.

While I agree it was a great performance from someone it didn't move me to tears because the underlying reason for the grief is very flimsy story wise.

Agree...

Though the performance by certain someone is excellent...the climax as well as the dialogues did not give me any kind of satisfaction of watching a great scene.

I did not / do not feel Sorry for Shiv ..he has too many blessings in his kitty, to wallow in sorrow anymore.

Afterall...he is gonna get his 'real' papa too...😎

I wasn't moved by this scene not because I don't care for the character or the actor.In fact I like the character a lot and I do appreciate the actor for trying to bring out his best.

The scene which had me in tears was that wedding reception his reactions to the villagers talk.It was almost like he was being pelted with stones..I just couldn't sleep that night.I had tears in my eyes during that scene.
