SHIV Streached his hand towards anandi and said.."hello miss shekher..nice to meet you..have
a seat..."
while saying Shiv pulled himself the chair,towards him scooted his chair closer to the
chair next to Anandi...
Anandi is still looking at Shiv with an expression of confusion,unease,and disbelive holding
the glass of water still in her hand.."
shiv...baith jaee miss anandi..pani pee lijie.." he winked at her..
Anandi slowly sit on the chair..and drink water while keep stairing at shiv...shiv looked
at raj and noticed that he is constantly staring at anandi.shiv avoid that and asked
MR raj...inke itwari bazar ki permission ka kya hua'??
RAJ tell shiv that there is few formalities left for that anandi has to come collector office
for 2/3 days after that they will get the permission for itwari bazar..
Meanwhile anandi came back to her senses and turn towards raj and listning to him about
the procidure ...as the discussion going on shiv slowly motioned his hand towards anandi
and suddenly grabed her right hand and interlaced his fingers through her...
anandi gasped with shock..as she glance at shiv curiously she finds that he is listning to raj
with a straight face acting as if he knew nothing. as she try to pull her hand from his
grasp but he wo't let go..anandi tug harder but no luck.. she twist around and give shiv
the quickest of glances.his expressions is amused,he flashed the warmest smile she has
ever seen,and gave her hand a squeeze.and her heart felt comforted...She had to remember
not to look at him when he smiled like that..which make her weak..
Once the discussion is over raj.. keep a form infront of anandi and said.."aap ki sign chahiye miss shekher"
anandi looked at shiv with anticipated eyes but shiv slouched back to the seat and He
smiled a slow,devastating smile and asked..
"what happen miss shekher?? any problem??...
Anandi's eyes's grew huge .. she just mad at shiv.. it hard to believe that how can a
Collector who has been the most khadoos all his career has lost it But he has just lost it.
suddenly she saw raj get up from his chair and started coming towards them. shiv immediatly
leave anandi's hand..and looked at raj surprizingly..
raj came close to anandi..bent slightly and said.."let me help you miss anandi"
"no thank you mr shekhayat..i know how to do it"... said anandi
"aap hume raj bula sakti hai...i won't mind"...said raj
shiv while sitting watching raj silently..as anandi finishes her papper work..she asked
Mr raj when she has to come again..before raj can reply shiv suddenly get up and said raj..
"ok u handle this matter..if u need any help.. tell me.i m going out for some work"and left
ANANDI is surprise with shv's sudden exit...then she also asked permission to leave..raj asked
"aap kis taraf ja rahi hai...hum aap ko drop ker sakte hai..if u don't mind"...
ANANDI..."nahi mujhe akele travel karna pasandh hai"...and she left..
ANANDI..came out from collector office..and looking for shiv..but neither he nor his van
are visiable...anandi started walking..suddenly a jeep skidded to a halt naxt to anandi
" miss shekher...can i give u lift..i will be obliged".. it's shiv with not so serious tone infact
seemed like tried to hold his smile...
Glaring daggers at her not so innocent husband anandi replied..
"no thank you collector saab..don't want"..anandi glared at him..
" miss shekher..i m a good driver..hardly broke any laws at all.he said,with an unholy amount of glee
""You're insane!" she shouted with mock seriousness
"i know..and the reason is you miss shekher.. coz I'm truly,madly,deeply,crazily in love with YOU"
Anandi realise that today her husbend is in a really naughty mood..she decide not to argue
anymore she went and sit next to shiv...
"Shiv, what's wrong with you?..What made you do this in the collector office"
shiv grabbed her n pulled her towards himself held her waist tightly..and said
"The thing is I never knew what is an "affair"..A love affair is like a short story--it has
to be a proper beginning..and in our story it was one sided..today I only decided that i want
to re-write the begning of our love story"...
Anandi looked at shiv and gives him a smile that just seems so genuinely sweet with just
the right touch of shyness that unexpected warmth rushes through him...
she hugged shivand said..." i love you collector saab"...
"i love you too"...said shiv while placing a soft kiss on her forehead
" so aap ko kaha drop ker doon Miss shekher"...he winked at her...
"aap hume "ANANDI" bula sakte hai Mr shivraj shekher..aur if u don't mind can we go somewhere
to eat..coz i m really hungry"...
"Always at your service"...and drive away towards a resturant...
"Let's just go in and enjoy ourselves"...said shiv while stoping the van outside the resturant
they went inside and choose a table.one of the best pure vegetarian restaurants in
Udaipur.The restaurant has a classy ambience and with Nice thali & great services..they
are waiting for waiter's to take the order..meanwhile for attending a call shiv went out.
ANANDI is fiddling with the napkin while glancing idly around the restaurant..The obligatory
mirrors hung on the walls,and there was one of those fountains with fake lily pads in the
entryway..The restaurant is also lit like a mine shaft...
" good afternoon miss shekher??... what a plesent surprise...aap yeha akele"...??
Is there a word for that moment when two parties are so equally shocked to see each other
given the circumstances that all they can do is stare at each other open mouthed? ANANDI
is searching for that...it.s Mr Raj shekhawat just standing infront of the entrance..she
is going through lot of imotion at a time..surprise, shock,stunned perplex...
Anandi immediatly stand up as raj walked towards her..After a silence,Anandi cleared her
throat. she fumbles with words.."good afternoon Mr shekhwat...wo actually main yeha"
Raj...He, too, stood looking at her for a moment..seemed to him that it is not a look of
greeting ..it's a look of shock...
"Those who are easily shocked should be shocked more often" raj said with a smile and
pull the chair towards himself
" jyada hairan mat hoiyee miss shekher...me too came here for lunch..achcha hua aap mil
gayee..can we have lunch together??..why are you standing??...plz baithiye..."
Anandi sit hesitatingly..and looking every where for shiv...she desparetly need shiv to
take her out from that uneasy situation..
meanwhile raj called a waiter and wanna place order he asked anandi..he feels a tap on
his shoulder.. as he looked back..now it's time for him to be shoked..and A general air
of relife and genuine satisfaction fell upon anandi as both of them saw shiv is standing
"what a pleasent surprise..nice to meet both of you again"..
Anandi looked at shiv and feels annoyed..she mutters in frustration but try to keep cool
" inki natak khatam hi nahi hoti... koi baat nahi hum bhi dekhte hai"..
.nice to meet you too sir...actuallyme too come just now..saw miss shekher eating
alone so offer her my company"... Raj said with an embarasment..
" so miss shekher...may i join with you...if u don't mind". he winked at anandi as raj also
looking at anandi at the same time...
"how can i say no to u sir..you are the collector of our city after all"...anandi replied
with the same dazzling red glare..and a mischivious smile...
