Every story has main character and other characters.
Here the protagonist of the story is sitting and watching one drama after another drama
when people are interested and waiting for her to take the centre stage which happens to be her place it does get annoying when some or other idiotic track is introduced.

The main problem that people have is that they just don't like the fact that a Gawar ladki has become a patni of an IAS officer and what's more the IAS man has fallen for someone like that.
Ashima speaks with a fake accent and that is enough to convince people that she is so well educated and more suited to be a patni of IAS officer.
It is just a bias against a woman who dresses simply and prefers to speak in matrubhasha.Her achievements are supposed to be unrealistic and anything sensible she says it becomes a speech.
Ashima was never shown to be working and her intelligence was never put on display but just because she was shown to have arrived from some other part of the world she was immediately considered as an ideal partner.
Anandi has to convince people that she makes a very suitable wife for someone like SRS where as Ashima for somereason does not need to do annything to convince people that she loves Shivraj Shekhar and she makes a very good wife to him.
There is a lot of liking and sympathy for Ashima than for Anandi.
