for e.g. i cant cook on my own a perfect fresh smoking hot dinner at home and at the same time be part of a crucial senior exec meeting where new product design is being discussed..😕..but attending this meeting is very important for me as i get a chance to explore my innovative skills.

Mona, taking liberty to call you by name..u too samvi ..😊..i am Sweta .

i have one more point as this is a good discussion going on ..remember when ashima asked shiv what kind of wife he would want...his definition was something unrealistic...he wanted everything...girl should be homely, believe in traditions, respect elders, should cook good food and also have a identity of her own etc etc...not to add that good looks are assumed...going by that i think shiv also wants anandi to give priority to his family first...and her career later...otherwise he would not have assumed that anandi will leave jaitsar for him...he would have asked her to continue as sarpanch..and stay at jaisar for a while till her new projects were successfully done...ansh could have met each other over the weekends.

kuch bhi keh loh...aise bohut kam log hote hain who would encourage a woman to take care of society at the cost of compromising quality of family life.

really sorry if i am offending anyone...just my thoughts 😊.

hello sweta...thanks a lot for posting in this thread...and yes of course u can call me Mona 😳

well, i do not agree with u...as i think doing ur job & at the same time cooking at home is very much normal..and many people in real life do this everyday!..and i believe it is not impossible..we human being can do it!...and i am talking about both man & woman here..all human being can do it..if & only if they really wants to do so!! 😉

what shiv actually wanted that will be a matter of big discussion i think..may be u r right..may be he really wanted a homely gal & that is why he never asked anandi if she wants to continue her job 🤔

@ bold...i really do not have much knowledge about this..so i will not comment!!..but u know what, from this serials's perspective shivraj shekhar is different!!..he always encouraged anandi..he always took the side of anandi..now also he is taking her side as a husband..then why can't he take her side as a guide? 😕

He was impressed by the way she would handle people and conflicts.

It's odd that Anandi doesn't even start some coaching class at home. She is not even shown reading a newspaper to keep herself updated. She's just a typical housewife now.

Shiv it seems has no other concern except romancing Anandi or defending her when her SIL strikes.

What are CVs trying to imply here? Education & career are only for women who've been abandoned by their husbands? It's a timepass? It's not necessary?

Moreoever I am surprised that Anandi has no concern about Shiv's demanding job now. The way she put off his alarm or the way she instantly called him when Sanchi stormed out of Singh haveli was odd. It was not like somebody had died! How can she expect him to be at home anytime she deems suitable?

Khud ka kaam toh chhoda hi hai, pati ke kaam ki demands bhi bhool gayi!

At least Gauri continued to work even in pregnancy (she and Jagya were together then). But yeah, the misogynist and backward CVs have to show that working woman suffers miscarriage! (Wajah koi bhi ho, working woman ke miscarriage ka yog toh Indian TV walon ne banaana hi hai!)

I don't understand why they focus on Ganga's education. Making her a worthy trophy wife for Jagya? Ha! I don't think she'll ever work as nurse at his hospital! She'll be only seen rubbing oil on DS' feet!

The progressiveness in BV is mostly temporary and a sham. It's backward and dramatic like any other soap.

thanks for ur post...really some good points!! 👍🏼

but i don agree with u @bold black part...i don think CVs have shown anything like this..that just becoz gauri was an working woman her miscarriage happened 😕...what CVs have showed that time..as i can remember that gauri suddenly started learning driving that time!!...honestly i think she was careless & mad...when it happened she was driving & shouting @ph...it was not becoz of her work pressure 😕

also, i want to point here they showed miscarriage of basant's 1st wife too at the begining..and she was not a working woman...

@ blue underline...BV may be dramatic..but it was not backward...it would be backward if anandi would have accepted jaggya back!!..not only that but BV has proved it in many ways & many times that is a far better show than any other on-going shows...

hi mona...thanks for responding to my comments..😊 ..i agree it is not impossible...but then excelling in both the fields and keeping everyone happy is tough..of course a lot depends on one's professional line and commitments...atleast i do feel it is difficult for woman to do it all single-handedly...meeting everyone's expectations.you got to have a very strong support system...sometimes i feel women who want to fulfil their dreams ..achieve something significant in life..should think twice before getting married..consider all pros n cons of what they are getting into...in anandi's case...may be she should have done that...i dont know..😕

yes..shiv has supported his wife a lot...and i do hope he encourages her to take up a noble cause...i am a big admirer of shiv btw ..😳

I am a big admirer of shiv. He always supported her till now. It takes got of guts to have so much of patience to deal with her ex husband and her past baggage after marriage too. There is a reason cvs ave brought shiv into anandi's life. I am confident one day shiv will support her career when the right tie comes. He is a human too and can make mistakes which is shown in the urmi Devi track of not informing his parents about DS. This track will definitely teach him how to balance both the families. It's a good wake up call for both anandi and shiv even singhs too.

@TM you have raised very good point. BV may be better than other serials but I think they really do not want to be very different than saas bahu serials. And the story does reinfore patriarchal values only. So like a good girl, Anandi's first priority is to be a good bahu, take care of family, hide other's mistakes and smile while hiding her pain. As for career, I am really disappointed with CVs because they just show anything about any profession, howsoever ridiculous it may be. Anandi resumed her studies and was studying for medical entrance (did CVs know there is maximum age limit for PMT exam). I was very glad that she herself chose to become a teacher. I thought CVs will show how a woman can do what she want and not what she is asked to do by others.
Then they brought sarpanch track. The election directly as sarpanch and continuation of panchayat even after Jaitsar becoming a district was wrong. And what did they show the sarpanch doing? Mostly sitiing at DC office or laying foundation of nahar project etc. Whereas panchayat is local self government and has to oversee all the social welfare schemes.
After marriage Anandi almost forgot her school (except for Basant Panchami).
Now after going to Udaipur, she is just a bahu. I do hope she takes time to introspect and ask herself what she wants. She did a lot of good work in children's/adult education (her adult education classes were really good). With Shiv being in transferable job, Anandi may not want to take up a regular job. But that does not mean that she should spend her days just in household work. She can pursue her studies further, she can teach in school, can work for women/weaker sections of society- there are endless options. It is just that I will prefer she herself decide what she wants (like in case of Ganga- Jagya suggested that she should become a nurse, and she agreed- clear patriarchal Cvs- Ganga will be always under Jagya as nurse- if she chose some unrelated field, at least she would be independent at her workplace) nobody should force her.
But I wish that CVs do some research and show some realistic tracks. I don't want Anandi's education like what they are showing for Sanchi- doing MBA sitting at home, neither do I want that Anandi suddenly becomes principal of a top college of Udaipur (just like she became sarpanch).

SPuja,

you said what most of us think, I hope you will have a response with a CV.👏

Shiv is a kind of a person who gives freedoms to anandi to think about her dread rather than pressure her to do things his way. Right now cvs don't want shiv to encourage anandi to pursue her career. May be later they will get back the that track of shiv encouraging anandi to work outside the house.

yeah well missing people is different from missing job 😕...Anandi would obviously miss the place where she grew up and people who supported her and made her their daughter and sarpanch...even i am glad Shiv did not tell Anandi to stay in Jaitsar because Anandi doesn't really has a project like Shiv gets in his job...her work is never ending thing...once she starts doing it there is no end to it...it's not that within one year all old people will get educated or within one year whole Jaitsar and nearby places will stop practising Bal Vivah...social work goes on till your last breath because there is not less dirt to clean in our society so Anandi staying in Jaitsar for her job will be very stupid and irrational
