Age difference or her looking old enough is not the main point. The fact that she is barely a teenager... a minor , is what this is about.

and abt age gap then shridevi was 16 yrs old wen she acted wid jitendra who was in his 30s or nearing 40. and luk @ salman. hes in his 40s while katrina hasn't reached 30 and both r paired & katrina was 18 wen she 1st did her movie wid salmaan. but yes both shridevi & katrina luked more mature than avika luks wid sid or even manish.😊

Sridevi was 13 when she played mundran mudichu.. with Rajanikanth and Kamal Hassan .. where she married the father of Rajanikanth to take revenge on Rajani..

The man was 50 +

It was one of the BEST movies.. ever

Well age difference aside, these actors lack maturity in acting. They are no Sridevis.

Avika though talented, lacks the ability to perform any role convincingly. She was awkward in SSK IMHO. She shook her head too much while delivering dialogues (especially when expressing shock and worry).

BV has already shown her as a kid, then shown another face as grown up Anandi and now has yet another older face as Anandi. It'll be awkward if the show keeps replacing lead again and again - especially if it suddenly brings back original Anandi!!

People may ignore Avika's age in other shows but never in BV because her scenes with other actors like Surekha ji will always remind people of her scenes when she was a kid. The viewers will take it even longer to adjust!

She is a good actress. The original Anandi and she is deffo not Sid's aunty. Sid maybe her "uncleji", but then he is old relative to both P n T as well. N "Sid" n "Roli" ka age difference bhi kuch kam nahi.

But, I doubt "Roli" is dead, so no need for anyone to get hyper

Feel sad to see her playing this kind of role.It looks like she carrying the show on her shoulders though.😕

I don't which is more sad her playing a role like this or people watching the show and liking her in a role which is not suitable for her.🤢

IMHO, Sridevi et al. may have played whatever roles they did as teenagers opposite 40 and 50 year-olds, but that doesn't make it ethical to cast minors in romantic pairings opposite adults. There was quite a large age difference between Prats and Sid, but both are adults, so morally it was fine to pair them opposite each other (besides, a 10-year age difference hardly constitutes a May-December relationship dynamic). Avika, on the other hand, is still a teenager. I've felt awkward as hell whenever I've watched her in SSK opposite Manish. I don't understand how Manish himself isn't creeped out shooting husband-wife scenes with her knowing that she's a minor! Gives me the creeps just thinking about it. *shudders* 😕 I remember reading an interview of Avika's once where she justified playing an adult role by saying that she would not be doing any inappropriate or intimate scenes, and that that made it OK. To me, though, it really doesn't... if two characters in a story are married, adult viewers will infer that said characters are having physical relations regardless of whether such scenes are shown on-screen or not. And when you're watching a soap and you infer that while at the same time knowing that one of the people in a pairing is a minor, that starts getting into the realms of serious creepiness. For me, at least. So a definite NO to recasting Avika as Anandi. I'm shuddering at the mere thought of her doing intimate or even harmlessly romantic scenes with Sid... 😕 🤢

All that said, on some level, I can understand the desire to have Avika back as Anandi, if only for the sake of seeing a higher level of acting quality in the person playing Anandi. Not that Avika is particularly great these days in her SSK role, but she was phenomenal as the child Anandi, so I imagine that she could get back to that standard with the right direction.

Avika is just a kid- not suitable for playing grown up Anandi, and I think we should not discuss replacement now.

yuck is the word for this thought...i am already disgusted with what she is doing in SSK...sh is just 15 and she is romancing and hugging such a older man just for popularity and money
i will be happy if she behaves like a kid and plus it's not possible for her to come back even if she is above 18 becoz she played the role of child anandi and for us she is only child anandi...it will look as if anandi has gone back in past
