I do not think Ganga did any thing that could have made Jagya do what he did.

Ganga has been given shelter and help in the Singh hoiusehold. Whtever little she knows she thinks it is her duty to bring some cheer to the otherwise morose household. That is why,she tries to behave normally with every one. Even her asking Jagya to appreciate tea was in this effort to bring normalcy into an otherwise depressed man.

She came across to me as a no nonsense person who does not mince words when it is about time to make people sit up and take notice. We cannot pretend everything is fine with us,when it is actually not. For how long can we portend like this? Is it not like cheating ourselves and believing things will fall inot place on their own? She did what she thought was right. It is high time Jagya comes out of Anandi's shadow.
We cannot hold her responsible for not being tactical in this matter. At least I cannot.Looking at her background,it is expected that she will speak in this way only as this is the only way she knows!
And whatever Jagya did was wrong,but,I will also not hold him responsible entirely as he was under the influence of "bhang".

@Libra123

The difference between Ganga and Anandi is that Anandi was legally separated from Jagya and single when she met Shiv alone. Ganga is NOT yet divorced from Ratan Singh. Her closeness to J or J's accidental physical proximity towards her can be misused against her in her divorce case and issue relating to custody of Mannu.

Also is that easy to forget your in laws or husband if you also gave birth to a child from that man? Nandu is a result of marital rape committed by Basant on Gehna. And Gehna was literally bought by DS in marriage and was a victim of domestic violence (in addition to marital rape) at hands of Basant even after Nandu had grown a little older. She wanted to leave Basant and the marriage. But she did not despite having a chance. That is because after giving birth to Nandu she felt (due to her conservative background) kind of "attached" and "unable to let go" of the bond so she stayed on despite the abuse.

I do not say Ganga should have done the same (because Ratan already married someone else and shows little chance of reform unlike Basant). But I find her sudden detachment and forgetting of her husband and in laws odd. Even Anandi took a lot of time to get over Jagya despite not having a child from him. Gauri too, despite feeling cheated by Jagya couldn't let go of him easily.

How come Ganga has no qualms or hesitation and moved on so quickly?

(Not that I object to her moving on! In fact moving on and bouncing back quicker is a positive trait to have! But I found it sudden given her bckground, upbringing and having lived in worse and less supportive predicament than Anandi, Gehna and Gauri)

She wants to make Singhs feel cheerful because she feels indebted to them but is this the only way?

BTW she was shown to have enrolled in school on Basant Panchmi. What happened to her school and study?

@OTHERS

Okay she wanted to make Jagya feel normal and guilt-free. But she could have talked anything or used Mannu as an excuse to divert attention instead of dialogues like Chai achi lage toh keh dena chahiye.

Did she want praise from him? Maybe consciously she was not flirting. But subconsiously what made her seek praise from Jagya?

Is this how estranged women and recovering victims of years of DV talk to other men in such small villages?

@Brick_red

LOL!!!! So true! 😆

Some great examples you gave! BV really takes too many liberties given that backward village setting in which they based their story! Sometimes I feel the village setting is just a sham in this show.

I agree about not taking things shown in serial too seriously. But if a show claims to address issues and give out so called morals of the day at end of every episode and pretends to take itself seriously then even viewers are bound to think about its content!

Today's episode was amusing!

Doctor saab forgot hospital and is on a leave today or is it a Sunday?! 😆

He takes Ganga along to amusement park while taking Nandu. Fine (Mannu is becoming an excuse for the two to come together).

Why did he want Ganga to sit on the swing too? Kyon bhai? If he wanted Mannu to take a ride, couldn't he have held him in his own arms and sat in swing himself leaving Ganga standing & watching there? BTW, when Ganga became scared why did she not hold on to the seat or the rods instead of holding on to Doctor saab's arms?! Also, the wheel was moving slowly, it was not some fast moving jhoola from Essel World! So what was the need to get sooo scared Ganga ji? 😉

Nobody said a word at Kalyani devi's haveli despite the hug. But people who saw them together here are bound to raise question marks on Ganga! So why couldn't she keep away from Daaktar Saab here?

Abhi aapka divorce hua nahi hai madam!

Why doesn't anyone talk of proceedings of her divorce case anymore? But getting close to her before she's legally single?

And why doesn't anyone tell her how her proximity to Jagya can be misused against her in Mannu's custody case?

Surprisingly, CVs seem to have forgotten she was to enrol in school. Ganga ji is either at Singh haveli or outside around Singhs to accidentally "witness", "overhear" something or "accidentally" get hugged by Jagya or "hold him"! 😆

We know CVs want to pair Ganga with Jagya and use her to fill void left by Anandi at Singh haveli. But sorry it's not coming out well. Lame and haphazardly put tracks plus same old putting paraya mard and parayi stree with each other and having the society shame or question the stree, then the mard springs up as a knight in shining armour and puts sindoor in maang of the stree to shut up anyone who insults them and their character! What a hackneyed way chosen by CVs! Thumbs down!

I wanted JaGa relation to develop normally.

Perhaps I like her too much :)

she just seems to be of a frank nature. She is not like other village girls. No normal girl after going through so much abuse can be happy about starting a new life with studying .. and then the divorce..
I mean she seems like an extremely positive person. Which is why perhaps she was able to survive at the den of Ratan-ashakshash (evil guy)

So now that she is surrounded with support she will be able to open up more and be extremely positive.

...
hmmm

To me Ganga is like Shiv...a very rare but really good person
what Shiv does is also odd like hers and very unnatural but what BV is setting examples through such characters
